Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
+1. With triple spark, our bikes arguably have the best fueling and combustion among carbed bikes, comes closer to the burn efficiency of FI equipped ones than the rest. Decarbonising is sufficient once in 30k kms for NS. But I've known people who've ridden 40k + and still not decarbonised their engines.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View Post

Carbonization also depends on the type of fuel and the quality of fuel used. But there are lots of bikes as you've mentioned whose mileage is to the moon and still return pretty much good performance.Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View Post+1. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
You can use anything to clean the chain, even water works great, just make sure you lube the chain after cleaning. SAE90 gear oil works great as a chain lubricant.Originally posted by Himanshu Patel View Postcan I use zorrik 88 instead WD40 to clean chain? Just found it at local shop and saw some good reviews of it.I am back!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
In my opinion the quality of Sai Service Parel sucks. I bought the bike from them. The day I bought the bike, the odo had 60kms already. The right side crash bar had scratches on it (which I got replaced immediately). From day 1 the choke didnt work. There is a small part called the choke plunger and they are still unable to find the part after 1.5 years. My bike has done 20000 kms without the choke ever being used. They are just good at fobbing people off. Unfortunately i'm really tied up and cant complain to the higher authorities.
Either they dont complete the service in a day or they leave stuff undone. Ive told them about the fairing vibes but no avail, rubber grommets for tank but no avail, etc. They charged Rs.720 for fitting the main stand. The bike even when washed is dirty. And the list can go on.
Bottom Line: IT SUCKS!!

Most of us here refer to regularly checking the oil quality for its coarseness and viscosity, by rubbing its against your thumbs. My question is - how do you take a oil sample out of the engine ? As in, there is no dip stick like you have in four wheelers to do that.
Also, has any one here has been to sai service, lower parel ? If yes then how is the quality of service out there? My first service has been booked and its on the coming monday
Thanks in advanceTwo legs and Two wheels. Add two more and they become crutches and cars.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
hi mate, greeting from indonesia. I wonder what would be the most significant performance mod for NS instead of replacing carburetor? currently I am using PWK 34, it has amazing performance but very very poor mileage. I am wondering if changing to smaller diameter, such as PWK 30, may help a bit on mileage. I do not expect much, but 25 km/liter for great performance is considered good for me.
and, oh, is is possible to bore up this engine? because according to theory this engine can work out a nice 35 hp figure if using 80mm bore.
btw, how to add spoiler here

If you are confused about the colour then between blue and yellow then my choice will be yellow...this bike is amazing I got my bike in July 2012...still it haven't given me any problems...except for some electrical faults...even I'm not sure why they don't give center stand...I got it fixed during my service period with bajaj...you need to timely service your bike...Originally posted by puwanraaj View Posthi i am raaj from SL . i am not a big fan of bikes but when i saw the 200ns omg!!! wat a bike!!! we had the bike launched last yr we still havent got dual tone!! kinda confused in gettin a blue or the yellow. following the thread from last month 310 pages done still a long way true!! we dnt have test rides here so dnt how the bike feels when ride i am on the heavy side and the bike feels amazing just to sit on it!! in here all the ns have got centre stands dnt why its optional in some countries!! i want to know what things i should take care of since i just started reading thread and its my first bike what things should i take care when i purchase the bike and after purchase!!! thanks and a big hands to bajaj for creating a master piece!!! thanks in advance!!!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Dude don't invest into projectors. It's not really required for NS which already has 55w bulb and provides nice visibility on any road. The stock crystal looking headlamp reflector is just awesome.
Don't waste your money, I had done the same mistake and now regretting.
