1. The starter cable is getting pulled somewhere as you turn the handlebar to the left.
2. The connection to the starter motor must be loose. It takes 20 seconds to loosen the protective rubber on the connection, tighten the bolt holding the wire and put back the rubber. This connection is on the RHS of the engine. You can see a little cylindrical part behind the bore and that's the starter motor. This had happened to me once.
3. Either 1 or 2 or both have occurred.
The LOL part of the mech's explanation was the battery taking time to give the motor enough time to start since its winter
the things people say to avoid work.Please mention the kind of sound you hear from the engine.
