During the first service, do bajaj svc guys provide us with an option of engine oils for replacement?
If not, is the bajaj dtsi 10000 engine oil worth the bike?
And I would also like to know the best lube for the chain?

        Thank you!
engine oil is always changed at every service, they opt for Bajaj oil which does the job fairly well imo. Motul oil is always better though. I found TVS chain lube costing about 350 bucks to be great value for that money. It's a big bottle and lasts very long.

But a New Problem raised from no where

Bike kinda lost its power, sometime i can feel the bikes power and sometime its like running out of fuel...
even in reserve it behaves like bike is going to stop without fuel...

can someone help me out on this?

          seriously its pissing me off..

How many kms have your bike run? Do you feel the loss in power after 6k rpm?

My bike has done 20k kms till now and the bike lost pick-up after 6k rpm. Bike was struggling to go past 95kmph. The svc guys were not able to figure out, but thanks to xbhp, I found similar issues listed here and the culprit was carb diaphragm. SVC guys were confident that it's not a diaphragm issue, but i convinced them to check it...and viola...the diaphragm is completely worn out. Unfortunately, they din't have the stock. Will get the bike back today and hopefully the power will be back.

mine has 3.8k odo till date...

it was fine before, i went to a Road trip with chennai Naked Wolve members ( Chennai to Pondy )
while return it fueled her up at Indian oil at Pondy, bike felt harsh and it was like running without engine oil...

Later i saw a engine oil leak on top of the right side spark plug, they removed the tank etc and fixed it by applying some paste..
Now my bike is kinda running out of fuel, it goes well but all of a sudden it loses its power, like it feels tat bike is running out of fuel...

i have no idea what could be the problem...

Oil leak in such a young engine is a major issue , serious enough for replacement under warranty . if possible please post a picture here cause engine head cover on ns comes with a solid rubber gasket and no additional silicon gasket required. Regarding power loss please get the carb and inlet coupler checked for any leakage ..
SVC will be reluctant to check thoroughly lookin at the compactly packed ns internals and hence time consuming .
              Persistence is the way forward

One of my friend who has a NS too and he told tat Oil leak is quite normal on all pulsars.. its not a big issue..
As it was just above the Right side spark plug, i thght tat it might get in and make the issue even big something. so went to the SVC and got it fixed.
And now this new issue rises from nowhere -_-

Oil leak was normal in older pulsars not normal on ns .. Older versions never had a rubber gasket in head cover, its not present even on 220 ... But ns is very much vastly different than older versions.

Additionally, How good are you with tools and carb understanding ? I have got rid of the "turbo lag effect" between 7k-8k RPM ramge + issue of back fire from intake by doing the diphragmn spring mod in the carb. Now my NS revs uniformly till the redline, no hick ups. And revs faster now. I can help you if you plan to go DIY way to fix this issue.
NS has a really sensitive carb, 33mm for a 200cc mill is towards upper limit and needs quiet a bit of attention.

They Only changed the Disk Plate and after 6k kms, luckily i have maintained the all service records(The carbon copy of the Job sheet when we give bike for servicing) so it was easy to point out that I've pointed the disk issue since beginning, so its not my lookout that no of kms are exceeded.
Even the service center guys were trying to convince me to go for insurance cover to change the part when i mentioned them in the complaint.

The issues that I face are mostly from the engine. My bike is almost a year old and has seen only 7000 kms of roads. Yet its engine is behaving like some old crap engine. The svc guys really goofed up the engine in the 3rd service.

The svc guys say 'its common for 200NS' when we talk about problems and if there is a severe problem they say 'some bikes might give some problems, so its difficult to rectify'. Its a pain in the ass to make them understand what kind of a issue the bike has. Its as if my 95k rupees I spent for this bike means nothing.

Motul 7100 really made a difference. I would vouch for Motul any day.
And then there is a unique problem of engine 'rolling over' between 3500 and 4000 rpm while in 2nd and 3rd gears. Shuddering while accelerating. Harshness etc. God knows who can rectify that.

I was starting to really enjoying my bike and thats when the 3rd service wrecked by bike.
Yes they are like that, one thing i will share with you try to talk to work manager and tell him the answers you are getting from these guys about the problems. See it will work in your favor.

What do you mean by Rolling Over???

And for your issue try and search for the better service center near your locality and get the Carb setting done properly, The bike is awesome if u managed to tune it properly.

And totally agree with you that the NS is liking the Motul very much i will stick to this oil for some time now. Though i must say that the SVC charges at the price mentioned on the box which is Rs.775 a litre next time i shall buy one on my own and take along.

I think most of the engine problems are related to either bad carb setup or AFR mixture which is a pretty hard thing to setup and should be done by someone who knows them pretty well. Once that is sorted out then half the problems will be over.
Yes try to purchace it outside u can get even at 725rs per bottle + no any tax

I guess the new engine really didn't like the Bajaj Oil in that phase. then I had switched to Motul 5100 at my 2nd service, great results. For testing purpose I switched back to Bajaj oil at 3rd service, and I've done over 2k kms on it and I have to say, it's not that bad. The only problem is that it's also sold at an expensive rate imo while it's got such a bad reputation. 1ltr bottle of Motul 5100 costs about Rs 500 and they charge around Rs450 for 1.2ltr of their Oil right ? Engine currrently running on Bajaj Oil always felt to rev up quicker than it did on Motul 5100, Still I'm simply going for Motul 5100 next month as my first paid service approaches. Easy and reliable. Sunil where'd u get your bike serviced ? Deewan Bajaj ? They don't whine about warranty issues if NS'ians ask for Motul oil to be used ? One can always convince those guys but i'd be easier if they could just comply without the drama.
Yes i agree on the cost Motul is expensive but the true joy of bike is enjoyed with the Motul only, Try to check the oil when u drain after 5k kms motul will be smooth and bajaj oil will feel like burnt n i think thats the main difference.

And after spending 95k dont think for 775rs to maintain it

First write a mail to Bajaj customer service asking for replacement of head gasket. Write them the complete episode of what happened at service center. And Finally ask them to either change the engine because you are not interested in the "patch work" rectification in such an young engine. Most probably the engine gasket will be replaced FOC under warranty.
