Guys guys.. we can mix 1 ltr of Motul 3000 4T plus 15w50 with 200ml of 5100 4T 15w50? 3000 4T is mineral and 5100 4T is semi synthetic. same viscosity though.

Going to get 2nd service after a month,my bikr wouldve done around 1700kms at that time, had my engine oil dosage changed to bajaj dtsi at 650kms,and bike performance as i can say,,is okayish,so my question is,should i get my oil changed on 1700km...? And is motul good to be used...? I want ONLY AND ONLY butter gear shifting..nothing else..thank you ..

Ive read sonewhere in this forum that grade of oil should be same. As its the only thing that matters.

Yes it would be better to change the oil for 2nd Service. You can definitely try out motul it is better than the dtsi oil in terms of smoothness & performance.
Costly oils like Motul don't make sense if you don't cover at least 2.5k to 3k km on them, so this time try to make the most of it.
              Happy riding!

My suspicion is new slide + diaphragm is not moving freely as it should. It must be facing some minor resistance due to rough slide walls.
@krish2778 and @ashu_nik I think the lag is there in the entire rpm range but is more evident between 4k to 5k rpm. Bike was not revving past 6.5k rpm till last week and the culprit was worn out carb diaphragm. So I changed it last weekend. Now it's revving freely, but there's this lag. Tuning was done before the diaphragm was changed, they din't re-tune it after putting the new one. Now the engine idles at 1700rpm.
Speed i am able to reach in each rpm in 6th gear:
                5k-68kmph; 6k-83kmph; 7k-98kmph; 8k-114kmph. I remember it used to reach 102@7k and 117@8k rpms.

Now the issue is not diaphragm. Could be clutch plate or is it because of AFR?

                • Can anyone help me out to adjust AFR setting in Pulsar 200 NS.

It ll b more helpful if it says what to change and what are the parameters to be considered in setting correct ratio?

I feel XBHP helps me and many others to clear their doubts and in teaching.

I have a issue in my Pulsar 200NS Rear brake foot lever. The lever is parallel to horizontal and once I sit on the bike and try to place my feet on that, its bit annoying.

I feel if it is at an angle down, it ll be comfortable to operate. I took it to a mechanic to adjust. He change the angle, but still it come horizontal (because the stopper in lever is in such a position tat if stops at horizontal.

Is there any way to adjust it.

It may be useful to many if it was posted in DIY.

                    Hi Rohit ,
Can you please let us know kms clocked on your odo .. Is there proper play in clutch lever ? How many kms since last oil change ? Is there any change in feel of gear shifter while shifting gears ?

Clocked more than 20,500 kms. Ran only 100kms after Engine oil (motul 7100) and carb diaphragm change. Clutch lever play and gear shift is normal.
I noticed one more thing yesterday, after riding for 16kms my rpm was going past 2500 in 1st gear when the clutch is completely pressed (ie, when bike is stationary). It comes back to 1700 when i shift to neutral. I have experienced this only once.

Your carb seems out of tune, more specifically its running lean. Adjust the AFR screw to make the mixture rich and then adjust the idle screw to settle the RPM at 1.4-1.5k . keep the AFR screw between 2.5 to 3.5 turns. How is the response from engine as you let the throttle return to zero ? is it responsive enough to drop the revs as soon as you let the throttle go back to zero ? Or it takes longer than before the diaphragm change??

Sudden increase in RPM is nothing big.. it use to happen to me...

Simple way to fix it is by adjusting the idle screw slowly, real slowly up to 4k and lower it back to 1.5 when the engine is hot...
when ever ppl at SVC tune my carb, they mess up the idle screw.. i later fix it by myself..

This time the mis-alignment of wheel rotation is not as noticeable as earlier. But similar to earlier, squeaking noise is only at one point in entire rotation. The next visit will be 5th one in this regard within 8 weeks & 1000km odo @bondarun pls suggest any expert mechanics you know in bangalore.. Want to get it tested & know their observation, then escalate to Bajaj
You can also change your brake oil to Castrol Motul or Bosch DOT-4...
it will help in fixing the rear disc issue..
The stock brake oil used is TVS dot-3 for front and rear...

I changed my front brake oil to BOSCH DOT-4 and the noise was not there at slower speed...
max expense will be 200rs.. 100rs for oil and 100rs for labour...
