So the NS was shown at a Bajaj SVC and the mechanic confirmed that it was gone O ring seal. Replaced it with a new one since it was kinda 6 years old. Lost a little oil which was topped up since we had the second can of Motul 5100.
    Total cost - Rs. 10
I love Bajaj even more considering that all this was done and no labour charge was taken.
Spares are so easy and cheap to procure.
Cool! Always a good practice to put in a new O ring every time the filter is changed or even if just that oil filter housing is opened. Do insist on that irrespective of what they tell you at the svc. It's the same part(O ring + filter) on the ktm's and i've seen a couple of them leak due to non replacement of the O ring.
Bajaj parts are among the easiest to get hold of and pocket friendly too. Glad my D200 shares some bits n pieces off the pulsar range. ktm specific parts are almost impossible to find outside the svc.

PS: the price is still Rs.5 i believe (did you see the mrp on the packing?)

      True that.
I did see that the packet was KTM branded but that's 1 cup of tea worth which anyways office cafeteria gives for free. [emoji28]
I'll take it as Rs. 5 for O ring and Rs. 5 for labour. Can I fire shots at competitors for being this affordable? [emoji16][emoji16]

Does anyone here have a picture anywhere of what the NS200 diaphragm looks like when seated properly? Mine seems a tad oversize and can't be fit back properly. Worried it's causing vaacum leaks that have been a constant pain especially post 7k rpm.

          Hi
my bike has done 375km and what I see is at 4krpm in 6th gear speed is 56-57 earlier it used to exactly touch 60
The only setting I have done is to set the idle rpm at 1.5k(in engine hot condition)I earlier decreased it to 1.4k when it was cold and during this setting the speed was exactly 60 at 4k rpm in 6th

Idle rpm doesn't change anything except ur idle engine speed that's why it's named idle speed.
It might be some other factor

On the 3rd day my new ride started producing sounds from rear break pad. I suspect the disc is the culprit. My friend said that maybe a small stone might be stuck.
It is causing a screeching sound for every rotation of the read wheel.
Took it to the service center. Kalyani bajaj, mekhri circle, bangalore.
They said it is normal and that the plate needs time to get adjusted. They told me to go on long ride and it stop by itslef.

I noticed that the back disk brake, even though i don't use it 99% ( i am not kidding ) of times, was hot(not warm) to the touch after just 1.5 kms of ride ( from home to ser center).
This is causing me to panic. Is it normal? Shall i take it to a local mechanic?
              Please advice.
When I replaced my 200NS rear disc pads, I too started experiencing this issue. The gap between the rotor disc and the pads is to be adjusted. I went to authorised service center who did this free of cost (paid Rs.100 to mechanic informally who was behind me for getting the cash). The noise was not there when I made a test ride. But soon after the noise came back but not to that extent. Every time this noise comes up, I will try to drive with rear brake pressed slightly for few seconds which will make the sound disappear. Really do not know the reason why it is happening again. Another culprit could be the disc itself which might not be perfectly flat. I will try one more time with the same service center and if it fails I will try a local mechanic.

                Hello all,

I am planning to ride (with pillion) on My 2015 NS from Bangalore-Trivandrum with a top box as well as saddle bags. It is close to 700 KM ride (one side) and this is the first time am doing this much long stretch that too with Pillion. I am sure in this group we have experienced riders, hence writing here expecting some tips.

I know pillion comfort is on the lower side for NS, so I will manage with a air cushion seat, however please let us know the other things that I should be worried about with a pillion ride.

                  Hello
Initially When I used to pull choke for cold start I had to manually turn it back or off, later it started pulling itself back on its own,and I thought it's some sort of automatic thing, but after first service the choke is not staying up it's immediately going down when I press the start switch though the bike keeps idling without getting off

                      Hi
I had the same problem after my first service as the SVC guys messed up something. I went again & they fixed it in a day. When I asked the cause, they said it was some kind of wiring issue. I didn't believe it though.

Just visit your SVC & ask them to fix it. Don't request them rather command them otherwise they would show no interest at your problem.

Because quality of ns 200 has downgraded in its recent avatar.

Have you changed the tyre profile? Else, check if both the wheels are freely rotating.

Ok, which DTSi oil they changed at 1st service? Semi synthetic or fully synthetic? I would suggest don't wait for next service to change oil. Just replace it again at 1000 or 1200 kms. I did the same at 1000kms & could see many metal particles in the oil strainer.
