Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi Guys.. recently my NS200 had the unfortunate coolant leak issue wherein the coolant got completely mixed in the engine.. the SVC solved the issue but ever since then my NS isn't the same anymore. The average has fallen to 25kmpl and the top end doesn't even reach triple figures. The pickup seems fine but the bike struggles to go beyond 6.5k rpm in the 6th gear.
I don't know where to go or whom to consult to solve this issue. I've thought multiple times to just sell off the bike and get the dominar but I guess even the dominar is also built on the same architectural design and is bound to have the coolant mixing issue in the future.
Can the NS gurus on the forum here help me out on this?NeVi77e

There are chances that crank bushes or piston rings or some other component may have got damaged if you had travelled with the mixed oil.Originally posted by NeVi77e View PostHi Guys.. recently my NS200 had the unfortunate coolant leak issue wherein the coolant got completely mixed in the engine.. the SVC solved the issue but ever since then my NS isn't the same anymore. Go to the SVC and ask for engine overhaul under warranty.
If it doesn't solve the issue, ask for engine replacement under warranty.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
The bike is more than 5 years old and has run 60,000kms.. so the warranty should be out of the question. and yes, I think I ran quite a few kms until I noticed the coolant issue.Originally posted by ayrus View PostThere are chances that crank bushes or piston rings or some other component may have got damaged if you had travelled with the mixed oil.

How much should an engine overhaul cost me? and how would I make sure that the SVC doesn't cheat me? As in just keeps the bike for a couple of days and gives it back like that only? Bajaj has done that with me more than once..
Or is it better to sell off this bike and upgrade to the Interceptor 650? Won't upgrade to the dominar coz same issues have cropped there too...Last edited by NeVi77e; 02-11-2019, 07:43 PM.NeVi77e

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi Everyone,
So I have purchased a 2019 Pulsar NS 200 from a dealer in Secunderabad.
I got it serviced today as it has already clocked 450 KMS
I had a question about changing the engine oil.
Can I simply change my engine oil as per my liking after 2000 kms or will the void my engine warranty.
I was thinking of using something semi-synthetic from Motul.
When I asked a few people at the ASS they said that it would immediately void my warranty.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Congrats on your new bike. Yes it will void your warranty only if they come to know. So just replace their oil after a 1k kms with your liking & don't tell them that you did.Originally posted by Ali110 View PostHi Everyone,

BTW motul SS is a good choice. I changed their oil for mine after 980 kms.
Safe ride!

Congrats on your new ride! I would suggest you to run on stock mineral oil for atleast 5000 km then later switch to motul SS or FS depending on your usage.Originally posted by Ali110 View PostHi Everyone,

Go to the service centre and get an oil filter then change the oil outside, if they don't sell it to you a different service centre will. I changed mine at 726kms !
Happy riding

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
With my ns 200 it happened at 74k and i am also facing the same issue after the work was done.. Get the carb checked first and then look into the engine.. I will be getting my carb checked when I get time. I am already on 3rd carb due to the same issue...Originally posted by NeVi77e View PostHi Guys.. recently my NS200 had the unfortunate coolant leak issue wherein the coolant got completely mixed in the engine.. the SVC solved the issue but ever since then my NS isn't the same anymore. ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Get the pipes checked under the tank for bends and get the carb checked for tuning.. If it is not resolved.. Get the carb opened and inspected.. Service centres will not be willing to work on the carb as its a difficult process and takes time as carb is not easily accessible.. Just push them for it if its needed.Originally posted by AbhirathD View PostHey guys i own a 2017 ns200 i have been facing engine misfiring or we can say bikes behaves like there is no fuel in between 3 - 5k rpm any idea why is that happening. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello.
I own a Pulsar 200 NS 2015 model and i am having a leaking issue from left side. Even after i replaced the packing, still it gets wet (oil does not come out in forms of drops but it looks ugly)
Can anyone let me know what to do? Also, i am planning to sell my Pulsar 200 NS (just 15200 kms run) scratchless condition. What price can i expect if i sell it? Here is a photo of it. The bike is in immaculate condition without any repairs. (Just needs a service)
Royal Enfield Bullet Standard 350cc 1989, Bajaj Avenger 200-2009, Pulsar 200 NS 2015.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello guys. My ns 200 is slightly leaning towards the left, I researched about it on the internet and found that it is common in 2012 models and that it's cone set issue, hence changed cone set, but the problem still isn't fixed. Changed cone set week back. Please help
