I'm gonna go for a 55W 4300k HID soon, the branded ones which come with warranty, not the chinese ones. 4300k because the 8000k one is useless in heavy rain, especially worse on 2-lane highways. Also, mine used to get dim in the rain and since it was a 35W, was of no use. And now it's almost gone. Even that TVS 50 now has a better headlamp and light throw than mine.
And planning to revert back to stock pilot lamps. I've grown out of the showoff with the white leds.
@ Rahulbarik can elborate more on your setup with maybe few pics? I am also in need of better light for night rides!

@ Aditya N Bharadwaj What about just using hid in stock reflector? As far as I know chinese hid have got glare caps! Initially I would be going with Chinese ones and in mean time save enough for branded ones

Well i can upload a pic of my setup here but i wont coz people will jump on me. I can pm you the pic if you want. And i bet you wont be able to stare at your computer screen with that pic opened... anyways not getting into details...Amd regarding hid in stock reflector, well i use a hid in stock reflector without the glare cap even...and it does not have any glare whatsoever.... i have seen projectors having more glare than this. My colour is a mix of yellow and green. Its somewhere around 3000 kelvin with green thrown in. The output is really sweet..totally hatke.

Yeah that's what I want now. HID in stock reflector without projector. A UV filter too. I want raw brightness & visibility on the highway. I don't want that 'angel / devil eye' crap too coz I'm neither.

Did you get any extra wiring done for the HIDs apart from what comes in the kit? Coz by turning on just one HID and two LEDs, my idle rpm would drop from 1.5k to 1.3k.

As for the spares, the SVCs usually keep those parts which keep moving regularly like air filter, oil filter, sprockets, carb diaphragms, etc etc. Not parts like wheels, carburetors, shocks, console sets etc. But if they stocked them too, we'd be much happier customers for sure.
I myself am waiting for a hinge of the gear shifter. The knurling on the part which is attached to the gearbox shaft is worn out and has a lot of free play, making shifting in slow traffic a nightmare. But I'm fine with waiting coz Mysore roads let you ride in 3rd or 4th all the time.
Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

same in my city... almost all svc are owned by osl bajaj. So nowhere to go.
I have stopped lubing my chain and started using whatever i could find...
you are lucky man. Wish i had such a svc. They are always ready to void warranty even for changing tyres :banghead:

either burnt clutch or burnt engine oil... and lastly not enough cooling... check engine oil first, then coolant, then clutch plates. Ns clutch plates are going kaput at 4k kms too... so dont be surprised

Well As someone said earlier.. concentrate elsewhere u wont find any problems i dont pay attention to issue now. I keep on running. Issues come and go by themselves :-) keep riding

Because they are least bothered.... fill it, shut it, forget it

All I can say for this, be careful in the streets at night with HID in reflector , if you know what I mean . . . BTW I guess HID in projector is better as you ride both in the streets and take it out for touring but if you are ideally going for touring all the time and limiting to the least at night ride in city, then HID in reflector is good. . .

                  Cheers!!!

2.4 litres usable reserve and another 0.2 litres unusable reserve.... So around 85 kms you can go after you hit manual reserve.

No other mods done... just cut out the connetion from the ignition and then its plug and play.... pulling 150w cleanly...not even a blown fuse ever. With all three switched on, battery voltage was still 11.7v. But you cant keep it idling with those on. U have be on the move... else the horn will fluctuate a bit.... never got low battery warning even except in one case when i was riding back home to kolkata from orissa 500 kms away with all three switched on ..no halt, nothing... still the low battery popped up after almost 460 kms. Switced off the 3rd one and it was normal. The auxillaries create extreme glare so i switch them on more than 1 lane highways only...

Yea... You can see a 8mm bolt near the exhaustech...
They removed it and inserted a heavy gauge hose tube and connected the other end to machine...
it showed the CO lvl and the mech tuned the air screw tiny bit to keep it stable

Its a small work, just the ppl over svc are lazy enough to do it :3

Proper co lvl will result in good mileage and performance..

Duke CO lvl is tuned using a machine, where as on NS air screw is adjusted to make the changes...

Had a trafic light drag with an r15 and duke 200.And I won
R15 wasnt a match but I always thought that ktm has better 0-60 times.
May be I upgraded to a k&n that did the trick.
So what i want to ask More air(by k&n filter) inlet plus more fuel via carb retuning translates to more torque or more power?

slowly and slowly as the odometer reading is increasing, vibrations are increasing -> headlamp fairing vibrations, engine vibrations through footpegs and tank plastic cover buzzzzzzzzz.

fortunately i always wear riding gear so not noticeable.
