My humble suggestion... dont get involed in all these street races and one bike beating another and so. Nothing can me more dishonoring than crashing on the road by racing and ending up in hospital or worse....

Your friend is right about one thing.. that Pulsar has build quality issues. But Bajaj has really tired to keep up the quality in 200NS. Quality wise, a Karizma R will score more than the 200NS. But if you want to see performance, the NS is better.

Sam, I would suggest you to keep calm and enjoy biking on your 200NS with your friend by your side on his Karizma R. Don't get involved in nasty races to find out which is better, which is faster.

You get what you pay for. The ns offers a lot of tech(although some gimmiky ones) at a very low price. So some quality issue will be there to lower the cost. The zma r even in its new avatar is still a conventional decade old, but bulletproof bike.

Powerwise, the zma would struggle with the 220. Ns would just beat it black n blue.

Quality ,yes hero has kept its marks par with Honda ,but we still have to see how new KARIZMA is made, you don't know when a manufacturer opts for high profits ,and hero even being a low profit company case ,personally I and moat OF the people has rejected the design of new kariZma, and for me ,only Honda has the best quality ,yamaha, suzuki aren't even.closer to Honda's reliability.
Pulsar 200ns is way ahead of 180 and 220 s,let it be technology or quality ,as I know how I ride my ns and how it behaves ...for a guy like me that is bound to change the bike in next 5 years ,ns was the total VFM package ,...the things I got for 94k ( now it's 99k ) Are unbelievable as compared to other Indian options

At a difference of just 3.3k, you get an oil-cooled triple spark engine over and "oil-cooler" twin spark! Throw in some MRF Zappers and the price difference will suddenly shoot up. Don't brood over it bro, they're just tyres.. wear them out soon and get a new, better pair

having previously owned a karizma and currently owning an NS, i have to say that the Ns i s VFm for me.

1.the power, Ns beats the zma right from the start and can outrun its top end in 5th gear
2.the bottom end torque and pull of a zma is better than the Ns acc to me,city riding was a bliss on it.
                3. quality wise i would have to say its zma which tops, but have never felt quality issues with the Ns till now, odo 15k
                4. vibrations are there for both bikes after a while, but i think its more on a used zma than on a used Ns. most Ns vibes are plastics which can be padded to a good extend
                5. and lastly, mileage, the zma used to drop mileage with even the slightest increase in speed range. when you really start speeding the mileage drops drastically ,atleast in my .experience. the NS gives me a good 45+ mileage in speeds of 80+ and the lowest i had dropped was 35 under heavy ripping and with a richer tune.

The triple spark head which is unnecessary. The same effect can be achieved through a variably timed ignition.

I don't care if triple spark is necessary or not; all i know is, my NS is giving good fuel efficiency with frequent ripping and redlining. Also there are no vibrations on the console till now ( 1400 km).
                        I am loving my NS

Today for the first time I crashed on a bike and not once, thrice. Till now couldn't understand what was the reason, the bike has just done 22xx kms . Im my last ride to sardar sarovar dam there wasn't even a single hint of nervousness but today i dont know how it happened. Bike felt sort of out of control a few times. In last 2200 kms i never felt like this. I Was having a friend as pillion, may be due to his movements the bike got unbalanced. Also The front brake was not responding properly, lacked bite. Leg guards gone, both bent. Hadlebar weights scrathed. Both, clutch lever and front brake lever has scraches. Handles misaligned. Scratches on sides. Gear lever bent too. This has Totally shattered my confidence, feeling as if I will have to learn to ride again.
