When my bike was serviced 1300 kms back the mechanic just poured too much coolant and said it's fine. Excess coolant will won't be a problem. This is current level of coolant.. been like this since last service. What should I do ? Is it coolant in the oil chamber which has made the oil look green ?
It looks exactly like the 300V in my engine. Are you sure it's 5100?
Besides, coolant getting into the oil reservoir is very rare. Excess coolant in the coolant reservoir will be discarded by the overflow pipe while running.
Get it checked just in case.

        congrats man, cherry black <3
i will start by telling something about my own bike. i usually put 1300 ml of oil instead of 1200 ml as mentioned in manual. the reason is that with 1200ml, it never shows correct level in glass window (btw, glass window does not have any max./min. marking)

the problem is there is very slight oil leakage from right side spark plug, and when i remove it during servicing, right side spark plug is always wet.

i also rip my bike to full throttle with hard acceleration and upshifting at redline, whenever i get oppurtunity or when i am in mood.

during the recent gujrat-maharashtra interstate meet at daman, while returning we were riding for hours at good speeds (110+) and few days later i observed oil leak from (1) breather pipe, (2) engine head cover gasket.

nothing of this sort happens, if i ride sanely at 80-90 kmph

although the leak was minimal and had no effect on oil level still the leak was sufficient to notice. so moral of the story is - the manufacturing process of bajaj is not so perfect and the parts have comparitively less accuracy and relatively more tolerance levels, so if your bike has more than required fluids, they will tend to leak.

so if your coolant was more than required, at high speed ripping, it could have leaked into oil reservoir, specially if the color of your oil was not green initially.

actually my service center also always says "sir coolant top up karna hai" but i always refuse, coz my coolant level is still the same that came with factory. the problem is that since servicing a NS takes more time than other bikes, service centers tend to recover more money from customer by offering useless things like coolant top-up and blah blah, whereas it is not required.

and look at your coolant level...man, its way too much. drain some as soon as possible. coolant level should be between min. & max., not more than max.

        • Pulsar 200 NS Air Lock Problem

          Hi Guys!

My bike stops abruptly after every 5-6 km.s.. Every time it stops, I tilt my bike to one side; open the fuel cap, blow some air and
          it starts again!
I thought it may be because of dust or water in the fuel tank/fuel pipes and gave it for service.
Now, even after the tank is cleaned, I face the same old problem..

Now I have started doubting.. if its the air lock problem or something else..!!

          Gurus, please help me out!

^^coolant cant enter the oil bay just like that.. Even if the level is more than recommended it will get out through overflow pipe.. If you are sure that it is coolant in engine oil bay then you got some serious problem like blown gasket.. So take it to Svc asap or drain the oil and check whether its coolant

Yeah it is 5100 as I brought it myself from a Motul dealer. indeed it is very rare to see coolant leaking into oil reservoir. I'll get it checked at the SVC. So the 300v fresh out of the bottle looks that sort of green'ish in color ? I thought light golden.. Fresh 5100 oil looks brown or golden as u call it.. could be burnt Motul 5100 looks like just as it appears in my engine ?

Yea correct. Could be everything's just normal and im worrying for no reason.. could also be a blown gasket.. Gonna get it checked at the SVC. If I drain the oil, how we gonna find if there's coolant really mixed in the drained oil or if it's just the oil which has changed it's colors to blacky green.

hmm I just googled "Motul oil color" and clicked the first link. Interesting post there.

If coolant is mixed in oil.. You can see whitish cream like think floating over oil. Just drain and check before you go to SVC.

Yeah 300V is green. It looks like some toxic lab chemical but one of the best out there. At 3000 kms on it, it looks exactly like in your pic.

Update on rear disc break noise-
As someone mentioned earlier, rear disc noise is back after some days but it is not loud and annoying as it was before also my rear disc break bite which was gone is also back, so rear brakes are working flawlessly again but a slight noise can be heard in quiet environments. Yesterday i received a call from SVC regarding the same issue, i told them issue is still there so i will ask them to replace my rear disc pad under warranty. Now the fun part, my NS is 1400 km on odo and engine is super smooth till now.The more i thrash the engine more smoother it gets. Brakes are as usual awesome and i am loving my bike.

I checked my oil color this morning again and weirdly I saw dark reddish/brown oil as it should be after 1400Kms of insane riding. no sign of green. I cannot understand it. Couldn't take a picture but I will take one tmr may be. Still took it to the SVC but nothing was done. The card job guy said everything is fine, and the excess coolant won't be problem. And that coolant simply cannot have entered the Oil bay. These gasket issues are non existant or very rare. He tested the bike afterwards and stated that the bike was running great. My opinion ? The bike does run great actually. No issues. Only needs pressure wash as I've taken it to some villages last month and chain lubing. I've also been downshifting very rashly lately.

I see. I will do this as soon as I get free time, for now the SVC guy has assured me that All iz well! Still gonna drain the oil at home and check for floating whitish cream.

Definitely one of the best while being so costly. But 5100 itself is so good. I just don't feel the need for a better oil ? Give me one reason to go for 7100 or 300v instead of 5100 in future xD

I just have one query regarding teflon coating. I have got a free coupon for teflon coating so just wanted to know that should i get it done or not. I am hesitating bcoz i have read that it is just a gimmick and removes a thin layer of paint instead of making a protective layer .
                                so please help.
                                thanks !
