Air blows are there at that speed. You need to make urself stable there.
The amplitude was not dat much to distract from riding.
But it also depends on air speed on that day.

    Mine max has been 145....

Obviously winds blows will be there in high speed but if you are equipped well to handle it then it won't be much issues like proper jacket proper fit, aviod wearing loose clothes that helps lot and in my case may be my weight (90 kg) helps me lot ha ha

Took a ride after.. and, boy o' boy, the response was crisp, the engine hiccups vanished and the ride was much smoother.

Now, the question is - since I have tuned to a bit richer mix, will the FE take further hit and go down or will it remain the same or increase? Also, are 3.5 turns the optimum for 200NS? Experienced owners, pls reply.

PS: FE before 1st service: 47-49 kmpl; after 1st service: 41-42 kmpl.
        Current ODO: 1130 km
Remove the spark plugs, clean them all and install them, ride for like 50 kms and then take one out and post a picture of it, only then we can tell if your bike is running rich or lean.

Hello guys ,surprisingly, I was banned from here ,dunno why ,reason given was abusing a member or something. Not that I recall of ,I didn't said ever even suck to anyone here .so leaving all that behind ,will be taking part in discussions again but with less enthusiasm.(now I'm not a xbhp lover or freak. )
Did a 100 km on NH 8 in 7.30 am with visibility up to 70m maximum .had to go to a college for sem exams.
First time did 120 in freezing death cold ( had only jeans and a jacket ) ,my legs were vibrating more than bike .min speed all the way was 110.
Return journey was like a dream movie ,1 pm, sunlight at its best ,low traffic and me with happiness of clearing my back on my ns, was doing 125 all the way .
There wasn't any major cross wind or something but as soon as bike went to 121 it started to deflect from straight path like hell ,I was getting deflected from my straight line motion about +-4 cm. Scared the hell out of me.but all round ,it was a awesome winter biking experience.
Also someone can tell me how to block a person in xbhp.because I've decided from now on ,if things get escalated even a little bit with anyone ,I will better use block then to pursue him in senses,,,

i feel stability issues are mainly cause of stock eurogrip tires?
even i face un stability after 110-120kmph.
any idea how long do stock tires last?
tires are not bad though, theyre good in dry conditions and tend to skid when brakes applied on wet or gravel.
planning to get duke 200s tyre after these wear out, any idea how much it costs in mumbai? both front and rear? and hows the feedback?

Hahaha and its written on eurogrip tyres that they are suitable for speeds up to 150.
Use r15 v2 rear tyre (optimum in every aspect ).
Front ah no idea as stock works well .
Should cost you about 3-4 k for rear

Guys, leving for Valparai from Chennai on this saturday morning. My bike is pure stock and 2900km on odo, with only first service and oil change at 550km.
What are the things i should remember, and what tips you can suggest me as this is my first long bike trip, i am a bit nervous.
I will be riding with a pillion, so what should be the exact tyre pressure for the trip?? front & solo both.
i had changed the stock horn to that of avenger. planning to change headlamp to philips diamond xtreme vision, but not able to find it anywhere. Have to go to mount road i guess.
Plzzz suggest DO's & DONT's for long bike trips........i really need those......
                Thanks in advance guys

Are the wheels aligned properly, does the bike go on a straight line when you lift your hands off the handlebar? Also the stock NS tires are not known for their grip, a little bit of deflection is common in crosswinds anyway.

Do the usual checkup when you start your bike every time, wear proper riding gears and ride safe. Most importantly, have the attitude of someone on a holiday when you go on a long ride put the urban rush in the rear view mirror and enjoy the ride. Beware, handling of a bike with a pillion changes, meaning less cornering ability and degradation of braking efficiency.

Phillips Diamond Vision and X-treme vision is two different bulbs, the former produces whiter light mimicking the HIDs, while the latter produces light with yellowish tint (Around 3200K). The white light is not suitable for foggy winter conditions, I'd suggest you get a Phillips X-treme Vision bulb, they are available only in pair, maybe a shopkeeper will sell you a bulb singly.

For both solo and riding with pillion the front tire pressure stays same, which is 25 PSI. The rear tire pressure should be 28 PSI while riding solo and with a pillion it should be 32 PSI.

till now experience with bike is gud no vibrations or sounds and bike is pretty smooth.
Previously i used p150 and it had a lot of grunt while accelerating and you feel like going fast but NS just gains speed so easily and without stress on engine that you would be going a lot fast and have done 90 kmph easily .

Same situation was with me. Here are suggestions from my side.
                      1. Take a good sleep on previous night.

                      2. Plan with having enough time in hand. Set very practical average speed for time estimation. I am new to highways and I take 50 kmph averaged over riding hours.

                      3. Better get your engine oil changed and chain cleaned/lubed.

                      4. DO USE PROPER RIDING GEARS. PLEASE.

                      5. keep a good distance from vehicle in front of you. With a pillion on board momentum increases by good margin breaking distance increases substantially. (Miss this point and be ready ko kiss the vehicle in front of you.)

                      6. Ride as relaxed as you can. Dont ride at or above a speed with reduces your confidence even by small margin. DON'T TRY TO TEST ACCELERARION AND TOP SPEED. You have all life left to do that later.

                      7. Dont keep checking rpm/speed from console. shift gears when you feel the need, not by seeing rpm.

                      8. Keep yourself hydrated and stress/fatigue free.

                      9. Take breaks of 5-10 min every 1 hr or 1.5 hrs. And refresh yourself by having some water, streching, having a cup of tea etc.

                      10. Keep emergency contacts on a piece of paper separately. Go through the AIERS thread on xBhp once. (Dont ask why, just go through you will understand.)

Please dont mind if I have stated something harshly, its for your good. FYI I neglected a few things for few moments and didn't touch my bike for next 2 weeks. I dont mean to impart any fear in you, just wanted to convey that cautions are of extreme importance. So ride safe, ride happy.

Lastly dont be nervous, many things (or rather every thing) we do first time in our life. Everyone do his first trip with almost same feeling, which (the nervousness) also help them/us to take necessary precautions which eventually results in a happy journey with lots of happy memories. The key is to "taking our own sweet time to make the journey/ride even sweeter". Wish you a very happy first long ride.

                      Saurabh.

Front will cost around 1,800 rupees and the rear will cost around 3000 to 3,500 rupees. Shop around in order to get the best deal as tire price varies shop to shop.

guys want to change rear tyre so today checked tyre prices on different shops in ludhiana.
                              dunlop tuffgrip 140/70 - 2500
                              continental -140/70 - 2400.
                              150/60 - not available
so please suggest which one would be better in daily riding and wet road conditions as tvs are bad on wet raods .
Have seen a NS with dunlop and its rear looked good and wanted to know how much will this effect bike's performance .

Dunlop tuff grip is a lot better than the continental. Also I've been using it in my fazer for 10k+ kms and found it grippy.
People say going up or down one size from the stock size is ok and it won't affect the handling much.
