How much did the OKS range cost?

What is the difference between OKS 451 & 9341?

I had a skid and fall on mysore highway because some drunk guy came of out nowhere on the road. I must have slowed down my speed to 40 kmph before my crash. Thanks to my Spartan Helios jacket and helmet I escaped with few bruises and sprains.

          Here is the damage
          - Lost right footrest
          - Rear brake pedel bent inwards
          - Crash guard and front brake scraped
          - Scratches on body near headlight

I am planning to take the bike to service center soon. So, what all do I need to get checked for probable damage?

Also, I have completed 10k kms and I often go for long rides. What parts should I get replaced in this service so that I never have an unexpected break down? (e.g clutch wire, accelerator wire)

if the above method does not work, then you might be having a faulty magnet(case meter housing part no.jc 151020) or console

btw, i had similar problem with my yamaha fazer
Thankyou very much, the problem was with the faulty magnet and tje problem has been resolved now.

i have now started to hate these activa riding college going kids.
later on discovered that brake pedal was also bent.

while fixing new brake pedal, i discovered that brake pedal can be rotated downwards, and done mine. a lot ppl had this problem earlier that brake pedal can not be rotated. it can i have done it and is as saimple as shown in my earlier pics.

I always need a few minutes of bed rest after such rides. Not about potholes, even on a smooth expressway, I get back pain. It's sad cos this severe pain practically prevents me from enjoying my ride. just after.. say about 30kms I start feeling it, 50kms, it gets hard to bear, and above that I just try to get home asap or take a break. Is this related to NS' ride quality or seating position somehow ? or should I consult a doctor for this ?
this is because of two things-->

                1) you already have a back pain and back issues. visit a doctor and start treatment. do not ride any two-wheeler for atleast say 2-3 weeks. sleep ona flat bed i.e. without pillow and sleep straight with face facing the roof.

                2) second thing is NS has a very hard rear suspension and that creates a lot of problems combined with ackward riding stance. there is very little that can be done. however try to keep tire pressure lower then recomended, it will smoothen out the small bumps. recomended is Front-25 rear-28. you keep front-25 and rear also 25. will make a great difference.

apart from this if doctor permits do some jogging and stretching exercises everyday specially some excersize or yoga in which your back is bend backwards.

                No, they were kids.

Before you see why you are falling to the right, you might want to see why you are skidding in the first place.
                - Are you driving too fast?
                - Are your tyres worn out?
                - In the surface loose or wet? (Sand/Gravel/Slush)
                - Are you using too much rear brake? (The most important factor in my opinion)

The next piece of advice might be controversial, but take the bike to an empty ground or parking lot and try emergency braking. Having a skid and fall here will be much less dangerous than on the road. And try to wear as much safety gear as possible.
i couldn't figure out this was related to what..??

however my bike leans to right while riding straight, this tendency is more when riding in wet. my mechanic says rear tyre problem. he advises me to get it changed under warranty.

according to him some other NS also had this problem and some of eurogrip tyres were faulty.

That's a first, never heard of this before! BTW in my case the guy paid for the repairs, though a mere 600

I found it's a combination of all. My own back has always had some issues, and I also discovered that my riding style on NS wasn't right at all. I should ride tall with a straight back. and I really feel tall like king of the road that way but it reduces the pain alot. I just did a 50km midnight ride in Delhi and didn't feel noticeable pain. So I don't think bedrest is needed, still to vist a doctor though. Plus NS's suspension really is very hard as we all know, on top of that I always keep my Tyre pressures upto date. Always keeping it.... well around 32-34 rear, 26-28 front. Helps with the FE.

                            3100 isn't full synethetic, it's semi-synethetic.

it's for you to decide, doesn't make much difference if u ask me. like if you have a remaining bottle of 3100 still with you. Get another 3100 1ltr bottle and use it, switch to 5100 for the next one.

None of such issues ever come up in a Fuel Injected bike right?
I'm also experiencing some minor lag between 3.5-5k RPMs after ripping or simply maintaining 6k+ RPM for a few kilometers. Feels like bike is running on fumes, several other users have reported such issues and I've always forgotten to note down the fix for it. Like what did they do to resolve this issue. Anyone got it ? Not willing to go to the SVC just yet, I'll wait till it worsens and needs fixing

Fact is, these issues are eliminated with a flawless FI system. If the petrol is way too bad, the injector might get clogged at the most, which can simply be cleaned off and used again.
Back to the point, many people told me, this is either an issue with the clutch plate or carb diaphragm. Clutch plates are fine so I have my answer.
I could sense the flaw when I was cruising day before yesterday at 88 km/h @ 6k rpm in 6th and wanted to hit 120 km/h. A twist of throttle in the same gear would do earlier. This time I had to downshift twice, redline in each gear and shift to 6th. On the other hand, this lovely bike can cruise at 125 km/h all day! I pulled off 150 km/h in 1.5 hours. My new speed-distance record (of course, it's nothing great to many other experienced riders)
Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.
