Finally.... After going through each and every post in this thread, I bought a Cherry Black 200NS yesterday after a wait of 15-18 days due to a strike at the Bajaj plant. As far as the bike is concerned.... Boy..o...Boy what a machine to own!!!! Have ridden for 65kms so far and I have loved every mile of it. This is for people who want to know if the issues of overheating have been resolved by BAJAJ...and the answer is they have resolved it, even after riding in bumper to bumper traffic there is not much heat to complain about and the engine is way smoother now compared to my friend`s NS which was bought in June 2012. I thank each and every member of this thread for their valuable feedback which has made me undersatand this bike even before I could own it.

Has anyone tried covering up the small section between the tyre hugger and rear tyre fender? just like R15 v2. This should reduce a lot of splatter onto the rear shock and under seat.

Though the rear whell and brake will get dirty.

Any thought and ideas guys ?

Was going to ask the same question. The stock mud flap is ugly.

If Possible, we can get a R15 V2 rear hugger and modify it...
Job will be simple and clean...

                  ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Finally got 220F front steel braided lines...
                  Cost me 1109 at Pro Biking ( Adyar/Chennai )

Will try to fit in front or on rear ( if i dont get duke 200 lines )

Now in need of DOT-4 brake fluid to complete the work..

Any NS owners from can help me find a DOT-4 Brake fluid from Castrol or Motul?

Many says that Res. to Res. method is not accurate than also lets assume it shows around 55-60 kmpl and that is amazing. Speed kept between 65-75 kph only. No hard braking and single rider only. Tire pressure front 25 and rear 30. Running on stock tires and Bajaj Oil. 4800kms on Odo.

Than while returning back. I filled up 4.81 liters of petrol and completed 242 kms. Which is most on highway and include around 10 kms potholes and around 30 kms city traffic riding. this shows 50 kmpl. Again speed between 65-75 kph.

                      Amazing Bajaj.
Nice man, What RPMs in each gear did you usually maintain ?

it looks proper when you look at the bike from the sides, from the rear view it looks damn ugly yes.. and tilted. Get rid of it guys ! it's ok !! run it without the hugger lol. With or without the hugger NS still looks incomplete from the rear, like it's missing a final piece, cos of the absence of a conventional exhaust pipe

there is a spring cable attached to the brake pedal which when the brake is applied makes the brake light to go on..i think when u lowered the brake pedal, you must have stretched it causing the brake light to not go off...check it and see if this helps..

modifying and putting the R15 rear tyre fender will be an expensive proposition. i was looking a jugaad kind job though it will make the rear uglier.

Is this steel braided line a direct fit and of the same length as the NS ? did you check for the rear line of 220F ? how much does that cost?

Which ever brake fluid you choose try and get them from an authorized dealer especially castrol.

220F rear brake lines are standard as found on our NS...
Front one will fit on our NS, but will be kinda straight and tight...

Yes it will fit.. its an universal cable. will fit on all bikes...

KTM duke rear brake line is a direct fit for our NS, but its hard to find...
Some how managed to arrange one... waiting to get my hands on it..
