10100 km on odo, bike has started to feel little sluggish..reduction in acceleration (pick up). Bike seems to be hesitating after 7k rpm. Going beyond 100 kmph seems to be task now. Need some suggestion from you guys want to upgrade or change some parts

    1. OIL - Currently I'm on Motul 5100 which I had changed at 7500kms. Should I change it now , should I go for 5100 again or upgrade to Motul 7100 or 300V.

    2. SPARK PLUGS - I haven't changed or cleaned them, should I changed them. Should I upgrade to Iridium plugs ( which ones) or some other after market plugs or go with the stock ones. Is it necessary to changed them now or I can go along with the one already present with some cleaning or refurbishing.

    3. AIR FILTER - Haven't changed them too. So should I go with the new ones. Any after market air filter or should I stay with stock one

    4. TYRES - I am managing well with the stocks ..but can't take a risk with my life.. I loose confident some times... While going to thread found Mrf Revz or Michelin Pilot Street/Sports or any other suggestions.

Any other suggestion to improve the overall performance...

      1. 7100 will give slightly harsh ride but would have punchy nature in power delivery !
300v is also good.. opt if you can ... Some say its over kill for engine while some report excellent performance ..
      Try yourself and experience ..

2.Clean them .. Check plug gaps .. If its blunt like the ones i posted few pages change it !
No harm in stock plugs .. Iridium's result in crisp throttle response and slight raise in fe .. Cant comment on life though some experienced member might be able to help you out ..

      3. Clean filter . Try cleaning air filter and plugs at every 5000 kms .. Diy is best !

      4. Pilot street excellent grip in both wet and dry condition !
Costs around 5k i guess .. If possible go for it !
Mrf rev-s or zappers s excellent grip in dry condition only wet grips suffers a bit ..
      Overall vfm tyre ..
These tyre is gaining popularity these days .. Widely used from r15 - cbr250r
Have also seen it on n250

You can change to 7100. It'll give you better acceleration and top end but it's slightly harsher than the 5100.

You may get the spark plugs cleaned and they're good to go for another 5k. However, you may change to NGK Iridium.

You may clean the filter however you may opt for K&N factory replacement air filter, the BA-2012. It will improve the acceleration and hp.

If you are running on the Euroslips, you can change to the Pilot sporty. Significant upgrade.

        In all:
        7100 oil
        NGK Iridium plugs
        K&N BA-2012
        Michellin Pilot Sporty

        And you're all set!

You can, however 7100 is good enough. While some riders have reported negligible improvement with the 300v over the 7100, there have been cases of engine oil leaking from the block or cylinder head due to the strong ester eating into the gasket.

Some are happy as well. However 7100 should be a good bet. It's FS, has ester and performs well in Bajaj engines.

I've used all 3100,7100,300v on ns (as well as r15) .
For ns, 5100 is optimum, 7100 only when you do 60-80km or more daily and 300v is not worth the 1000₹ .
Also if let's say you ride less than 20kms a day ,do not use anything else that 3100 gold. It is better to use mineral oil and change it at 2500kms rather using ss oil and pushing it for 5)6 months if your run odo is low

Help Required Alloy Wheel Balancing (Delhi) - URGENT

Can anyone tell me where in Delhi can i find a good shop who does alloy wheel balancing using weights?

I am only able to find people who straighten the wheel but no one does proper balancing of the wheel using machine and counter weights. There are numerous outlets who have the facility to do balancing of car wheel but no one does for bike

Replacing the wheel is also of no use as the Bajaj is not providing alloy wheel that are balanced from the factory. They do not have counter weight installed and we need to get them balanced our self Service center is also not helping much since they do not know where to get it done as well

BTW KTM wheel come balanced from factory with counter weights. Really this isn't fair with us

URGENT help required as i am almost not able to ride my bike due to wobbling issues at the front.

                  Thanks

                      Yes i know that!

The rim went through a pothole and got out of balance. Engineer from Bajaj (Pune) himself came to check the wobbling problem since the service center could not solve it.

He had diagnosed that the wheel needs balancing and as a trial he ripped off the existing counter weight in hope to make the issue little less until i get it balanced.

Anyone from delhi who can help me?

I think all performance issues would go away if you just replace diaphragm. I was having similar issues when my bike's ODO was 10k. You can move to 7100 but as per many riders here, its only useful if you ride a lot & that to more of highway runs.
Have you not given your bike for Service? Sparks plugs & air filter replacement usually happen during that time depending on the condition.
Lastly for tyres, I am using Michelin for both front & rear(radial) and the grip is really good. Euroslips are pathetic. In my opinion, you should check out MRF available on RS 200. Every review has praised the quality of tyres.

                          Hi friends,
I think a similar query might have been posted here before. But I could not find it.
I have been using Motul 7100 for the past 15,000 kms (the odo now shows 20,000 kms) in my NS. Is it ok to switch to Motul 5100.

You can always go back to semi-synth. Dont just blindly believe everything on web. Just do a flush or tilt the bike,to completely remove old oil(little oil will still be present but no problem.) Motul prices are sky high these days. If your from delhi give a try for top1 engine oil(20w50) if you could get. Its semi-synth and praised by some. But its new product so not everyone is familiar.

So please help me out with this.

Theres a black tube going from bottom of fuel tank and is connected no where. What is that? And also a tube from top of tank which is connected to the filter. whats the purpose of that?I removed the tank and filter to clean them as something was blocking the fuel flow and got confused with these pipes.
