My bike is 2 1/2 years old, done 20,000 kms. Got the tappets adjusted recently. As I had mentioned in the previous post, the vibes while going up an incline disappeared after the tappet adjustment. But there is a loss of power at high speeds, it obvious at any speed beyond 70 km/h. And this power loss was there before the tappet adjustment.

Tappet sound is identified by its rythmic tic-tic sound. Its more audible while the engine is idle.
Per the maintenance chart, valce tappet clearance must adjusted 15,0000 kms and every subsequent 5000 kms there on.

Very difficult to troubleshoot like this. Just check your chain...is it too tight. Sometimes simple things are d culprit for seemingly bigger problems.

Otherwise it may be leaking valves, carb, chocked air filter or anything.

U can get ur valves checked for leakage. But if u do it get it checked in front of ur eyes otherwise they will simply say that yes it needs to be replaced and rob ur money.

          Hey Guys,
I am in hunt of a new bike. RS 200 is something i like . Have a small question.. since its engine is same as NS200 so the question is : It the engine as rev friendly as R15(my old bike) ?
Am actually looking for something that is rev friendly..

Rev friendliness of Ns is no where in the regime of R15 ,ns goes to 11,12 k rpm in a swish, while r15 foe r upto 8k and then struggles to go further.

I hardly drive beyond 8K RPM. Mostly 6k - 7K. What i meant by Rev friendly engine was that in normal bikes if i rev them hard for even a little while, they need tappet adjustment. Engine does not sound the same. And you can feel that bike has been ridden hard. This comes from my past experiences, CBZ Xteme. But in R15 , i have never faced this kind of issue. I have done about 10 road trips on my R15 from 700 Km to 1200 km in 2-3 days. Even if the engine felt harsh, left it a night and it was back to normal next morning. Might be because of the heat and all.

That`s the kind of bike i am looking forward. If i rev it hard say @ 8K-10K, the engine should not feel harsh. If NS 200s engine is capable of this, i would be more then happy to take RS200.
**Am looking for something a little more powerful than 150 cc, that's why looking for new Pulsar otherwise would have taken R15 again

Apologies for explaining it wrong. Am not a bike guru. Just love to ride
                    And thanks everyone for replying.

Chain adjusted. There are signs of uneven wear.
The svc here is so reluctant to take NSs because of the difficult process involved in repairing it.
                      Thanks for your advise.

What ,only 6-7 k ,that is because you ride a r15 ,if you go on ns, in no time you'll find yourself going abive 8k range.
Put motul in ns and ride all day.
Did 240kms in 2 hours 44 min WITHOUT A STOP ON NS. and when I got off the saddle ,immensmy felt 1000 ants biting me all over ,and bike was still butter smooth. FOR THIS ,REMEMBER DO NOT USE BAJAJ OIL .,even yamalube works.
I own a R15 ,have done 4000kms worth of trip on it and 5200kms worth on ns. My take is ,if the highway Is super long,no pothole. No stops , then r15 is good But that doesn't happen ,see real problem for me with r is that it takes ages to reach 120 kmph speeds if you brake it once ,while on ns ,0-120 comes in a fun instant +riding posture of r is very very torturous. When I did delhi-rishikesh run non stop on r15 ,I literally collapsed at the end .ns doesn't make you feel a thing.
Also refinement in r is always above then bajaj. But if you ride lets say 3hours constant without stop at 110+ on r ,IT WILL SHOW TIRESOMENESS, while on ns, it is just a another job PROVIDED YOU USE MOTUL ,NOT BAJAJ
power is certainly miles ahead on.this ns engine wrt r ,both can do similar speeds ,but the acceleration is worth the little vibes over refine but slow r .
I've given my r15 to cousin and happily going along with NS

However, I wouldn't recommend snapdeal. Get it from Amazon

No rejetting needed since its a factory replacement. Tuning is enough.
