Changed CDI with a friend's bike and my bike is revving freely,
Mechanic advised to keep it in sunlight and it was in sunlight from last 4-5 hours but still no change.

So guys now is there any chance of getting it normal?

There's a way to check the resistence of CDI unit with DMM but I cant figure out the color coding of wires as per the repair manual...SVC guy didnt know how to chk it either...keeps insisting CDI is fine ...can someone help understand color coding of wires as per repair manual??
Never argue with a fool, for he will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

just completed a 1700km ride...From Vizag to Bharuch
            ODO is now at 17k
Faced serious issues during this ride( no issues at all when I did Bharuch to Vizag in last November during winter)
1.Gear linkage mounting bolt came off about 150 kms into the start of ride...luckily was in 6th gear...had to ride another 50km to get a jugaad bolt that would allow the gear rod to rotate
2.battery was charged one week before ride and was used frequently without any problem....but at 600km the self start died out on me...had to push the bike and start it in gear
3.battery completely died out(console went blank and stopped my engine while I was driving) at 1300km...luckily this happened just nearby a trucker stop so I could get a no. 10 spanner to access the battery...pulled out all the accessories other than original wiring and console came back on.. Started bike by pushing again...
4.engine was continuously running hot the whole second day of my journey...with the fan also continuously on my legs felt very very uncomfortable...unbearable summer😰😰😰
5.rear disc brake (the foot lever) suddenly went soft after 800kms...it wouldn't get tight however much I tried to adjust the hydraulic piston rod...brake oil was up to level...gave up and continued riding...after about 200kms rear brake suddenly started working again...

            The accessories I installed were
            1.hid projector 35watts
2.bike security system( have petrol and horn thieves in my area)
3.pipe horn with compressor(had to install compressor beneath the rear seat, pipes beside engine and painted black to blend in)
4.USB charger for charging my devices during touring

All these accessories were there since 2 years and I have not had any problem with the battery till now..not even during my Bharuch to Vizag ride..
Checked yesterday and found the side wall of the battery has swollen up...could be because of the SVC guys in Vizag who took apart the electrical wiring for accessories and didn't put it back properly...or could be that my battery got deep discharged as it was lying idle since 5 months

Rear brake problem started coming after I had the both sprockets and chain replaced during the same service...brake wouldn't work at all or it would clamp tight to the disc until I had to stop the vehicle or risk melting the disk(it became red hot)

I am sharing this just for your information before you go for long rides...
BTW getting all my accessories wired again after I change my battery...the electrician in Bharuch does a very good job and is a friend too...

Battery> your and svc fault .two year old ,lying 5 month idle ,too much crap electrical accessories and God knows how did they charged it.
Brake problem can be due to Grease in brake pads added while cleaning and lubing chain.
Other than that ,I don't see any problem that arose on bike's part, rather than on human error and ignorance

              Just follow lettering like:
For single colour wires BL blue BK black BR brown etc
Wires with stripe BK/Y means black wire with yellow stripe
              These are worldwide lettering standards
If you cant interpret any letters, post it here, let me see

I have red-black NS which is 3 months old. It shines like some kind of italian red bike during night time.

When i travel some time in night the red-black and white-black NS feels more big bike and attractive than single tone. Even i stare at other dual Tone NS on road.

Pulsar presence is there in india for some time but still people stare at it as a new bike in fuel station/traffic signal and ask the mileage of it.

Even 2 of my friends planning to buy NS after seeing mine.Even they ask same questions.

I dont calculate milege in my bike. if i wanted milege i would have not bought NS in the first place.

I put petrol from shell for 500rs which is around 7+liter.It will last for 1 to 1 & 1/2 week of daily 44 kms commute.

How much approx milege NS gives in bumper to bumper traffic(like bangalore) and in highways at around 60-70kmph and 90+kmph.

Atleast i can answer them to guide them when consider buying NS.

As per my experience it gives me always more than 35kmpl in the city.
On the highway it gives me mileage between 37-42kmpl.

                      Speed 60-70 it gives 40-42kmpl.
                      Speed 90-103 it gives 35kmpl.

Well I fill 400rs petrol every 4 days and I travel 45km daily.
I don Thnk it reaches to the above said mileage.

                        I.e around 30kmpl. Mine is 50%traffic 50% highway.

Just a question in my mind, what if I don't have a center stand or a paddock stand and I want to lube chain and do other stuff..
How am I supposed to do that without any stand?[emoji26]

                              City/town speeds 30-50 : 38-40km/l
                              Highway 50-60 (sane) : 48-50 km/l
                              Highway 80-100 (not so sane) : 40-42km/l

Get a chain-block. Hang the rear on a hook under the ceiling
