Just it takes few days to get used to the Fuel gauge.. in my case, once the gauge drops to last 2 bars within 2 kms Amber light glows, later within 2 kms bike actually lands in reserve.Originally posted by sunilyo View PostOk guys, to my above problem the result? The bike was indeed getting on to reserve. Like i said, checked it in the evening, the reserve (orange) indicator also came up.
Why i got worried? because the fuel gauge was showing 3 bars and the resv. indicator never lit.
Lesson i learnt? The digital fuel gauge is just crap at least on this machine. I do not know how accurate the digital consoles of R15, KTM duke etc. are but for the Pulsar 200 NS is just waste. I would have preferred a manual console after this incident. Thank god the Tacho is analogue.
Mileage i got? 41.xxx kmpl
Riding conditions? Mixed - right from 10 km - 90km all under 6k rpm. The first week i ran like this. Now this week i plan to ride more sanely under 5k rpm.
by mid sep i should be ready for my first service.Ride safe!

Those are not complaints Buddy just small niggles which can be sorted out easily i.e if you happen to get them in the first place which is unlikely .Originally posted by Devesh View Posthello all this is my first post in xbhp

Yesterday had gone to Karol Bagh with a friend with his bike, so i checked for rim tapes but the charges were pretty high for reflective ones - around Rs.800 though i only checked in one shop.
Planning to get the floroscent green for my bike.
check this page out.. rim | eBay
i also had 100 bucks voucher on ebay.. so total cost 200 only

I understand what u are saying. But That will look nice in Picture.Originally posted by nishant.sukharia View PostGet the portion highlighted in the attached image levelled & it'll look even better...
Also , cost please ?
@Rahuldevnath has pasted the carbon fibre decals on the lines of the tank curves. But if he levels the decal to match the Black plastic part, then some portion below the curve would remain Yellow, which might be a Eyesore from the front.
@RD, great job.. The decals look striking over Yellow. Guess it won't look as good on Red.

@rahulbarik - is the r15 v2.0 rear tyre vulnerable to sand???well the grip on the tyre is stop notch.....it feels it is ready to stop at any speed.....it might not be like an ABS but I have tried braking from 45km/h it stopped within 8-10 feets without skidding( offcourse using both both the brakes e... qually).......and crossing the wet tram lines didnot feel anything which I felt scary on the stock tyres.....well about cornering I didnot do it like DOC but it has got a lot cornering capabilities wich was a big lack in the stock...n yes this tyre is being used in r15v2....and yes its an radial tyre of ns's stock size.............................Originally posted by nishant.sukharia View PostLooks uber cool bro...& the white stripes enhances it even more...Post some more pics soon...
By the way, that's a radial right ?

when I saw this picture for the first time I was like "wow its so dukish"....awesome work really not at all ugly......great texture too....but i think it would have look much better if the strip through the middle of the tank would have been some what like the previous model of apacheOriginally posted by rahuldevnath View PostGuys, please comment. Not sure if it's ugly or fine. After getting fed up with the tank protectors, I thought of do some stickering:

Just Chill. The fuel guage actually works the way it is supposed to.
You won't get accurate readings of digital fuel guages when the bike is leaned or in side stand mode.
During the start of the day, just sit on your bike, get it straight and then turn the ignition key and watch it read accurate readings

Its all about business and profits I think. Bajaj atleast should keep and option of using Other better oils. Whoever wants to spend extra penny can go for it rather than blackmailing with voiding warranty.Originally posted by psraju View PostFrnd I hv 2 doubts:
Why Bajaj insisting on DTSI oil, when other global brands are far superior
I had sent a mail asking for clarification. But no reply even after a week or so.
Guess will have to send reminder..
BTW. I got first approximate mileage figures:
Method: Reserve to Reserve.
Riding conditions: 80% city ride. 10% highway, 10% very very bad virtually no road - 1st and second gear only. I ride mostly from 40-60 (in city if possible. rest is traffic riding
). Short bursts to 70-80 for few seconds. Have a habit of quickly shifting to higher gears. I kill engine on signals to even for 10seconds.
Petrol: Shell super 8.5 ltrs
Kms: 390 kms
Mileage: ~46kmpl
Not bad at all. I am 760km on ODO and 1st service is still due
. Hopefully after svc trip mileage will improve even further.
PS: I got LS2 Phobia for 2800 bucks from Laxmi auto, JM road, Pune.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...
