Shibadip, because you mentioned about the sound of the exhaust to be "nothing" great in your review, I should also add that a richer mixture, gives the bike a very bassy "boom" sound, and sounds like a muted inline four, as MG had mentioned in his review.
Ya, and with every Kms, DESTINY is proving to be a Zero Issue bike.
Now the revving thing gone, I am also liking the handle bars (which I disliked before)
Also me being faired bike lover, finding my DESTINY to be really sexy. She seems to be a treat to the eye, with the curves and bulges at the Right places...

Also because of some spirited riding, I came to know her better. and man she can Pick up some speed within no time!!!
@Surojit - Now I understand why you have never tried LOWEST Speed in the 2nd and 3rd gear.

Also notice some very Negligible issue(pardon my picky nature).. Will discuss sometime later.

Also pardon me, but I have never heard any In-line four still now. @toxicbiker showed me a video of a Ducati Dyno test, and I was just awestuck hearing the sound. But I have No doubt that NS can Surprise me again..

Without the tyre hugger the area between the tail lights gets muddy.None that impairs its visibility though.
Also , with or without the tyre hugger , in wet conditions the pillions back will get muddy for sure.
But totally worth the aesthetic appeal.I remember my friends suggesting me to not to remove the tyre hugger as they thought it looks good that way but now after I removed it , even they are praising about it.

No copyrights , but try not to do it ditto on yours.

I have done 2500 Kms so far . Felt the engine losing power in the lower rpm bands... Any insights?
yeah...even I feel that sometimes...I feel something like a lag between 4-5k RPMs sometimes while commuting...but none when I ride it hard...maye some fueling problem or something...not sure.

@ Shibadip : Mate, I showed my Babe with all the decals to my friends & they thought that it doesn't look overdone at all , it seems overdone only in the pictures...maybe I didn't clicked them right...

            1. It happened as a air lock, I rode my bike for 35 kms and then the reserve indicator glows up (i didnt notice it and continue to ride) after say 3-4 mins , the bike gasps as there is no petrol. I turn the knob from on to reserve. After this moment, the bike never idles in any gear, no engine braking, if you let the throttle go, it dies.

            2. Now the problem is more, after a whole day, after keeping my petrol tank open for some minutes, after fiddling the idling screw for 20 times, the bike never starts without a twist of throttle. Even after starting it needs at least 2 k idle and once i twist the accelarator and go for a ride, the idling jumps down below 1k rpm and engine dies

            Any solution?

I need to go for an interview tomorrow , which is 40kms from my home. I've no other byk as of now. Any DIY stuff? Or can I ride it as it is?? for at least a day???

Today SVC is out of reach as it is sunday
I see that the bike still has reserve fuel left. Sometimes due to airlock the engine might not start. try using the choke and start. do not throttle. give it a min, turn choke off and check. it should start without issues.

                  • guys i really need to know .. is there any kind of problems in the new engine... i just wanna know your review in one word .. please many on this thread gives long and complicated reviews

some say its diying off, some kind of air chock prob, noise, vibration,4000-5000 rpm power loss... i actually very confused..

if really these are some issues with the new engine then what is BAJAJ is doing.

i already booked my bike even my bike is in the godown of "rukmani bajaj indore"
i just have to pay full payment and pick it up .. but i really need a straight and perfect review because this bike gonna mean to me a lot .. a "GIFT FROM MY PARENTS"
so this will stay with me life long please help me ..

In few words "go for it.

Most of the so called problems are mostly related to minor adjustments. I am very much satisfied and happy that I chose this machine

Probably will get the carb tuning done at service centre when I visit them for sorting out the sensor issue. Also have started to use reliance petrol, which as most in the locality say, is the best petrol available.

Another thing I noticed was that I hear a sound , like something is rubbing against another part, when I accelerate. You will notice it when increasing the speed gradually. Anyone else noticed it?

If you see the Ninja thread you'll learn of the roller sensor issue in the recent 2012 production line-up. 3+lacs bike with a faulty sensor that killed the engine post 110kmph. What do you think the owner went through? Tell you what, NOTHING. He discussed it here with a calm mind and got it sorted.

Point is: issues in any bike whether currect version or future production CAN still crop up. Question is are you man enough to deal with them?

Bottomline: To quote a very wise friend of mine who recently met with a major accident on his R15v2, "there isnt anything mechanical that cannot be corrected".
