I adjusted the idling screw a lot of times, opened the petrol tank and let it for some minutes. Nothing helps. Is this problem specific to pulsars? I've never faced this problem in my non-Fi bikes in the past.

    Any help??
Dude keep some petrol in bike.... altleast 500ml is just lying in tank here n there which doesn reaches the knob(the pipe to carburator)... n this is not a Fi bike.... so petrol should flow all the time and in sufficient amount.... still go to service center... may be some blockage in pipe... about the dying part.... there is spark plug on right side from sitting position just blow it before starting the engine after morning wash... and if itz still dying then go to to service center(i had the same problem which got solved in forst service)

Hi guys.. my first post after buying the Pulsar 200 NS (red) on 11th August.. falling more and more in love with the bike after every passing day!

had a few niggles initially.. RPM rising to 2.5k after a few minutes of running.. but a quick trip to the SVC solved the issue.. mechanics are extremely friendly and explained how i can adjust the knob in case i wanted to in the future

lubricated the chain today (using Cyclo by Pidilite) and its seeming to be smoother..

one new issue is that the coolant level has gone below the minimum level ( was between middle and max at time of delivery).. called up the SVC and they told to get it in on Monday for a free topup.. but wanted to know if coolant levels actually reduce like that (just run abt 430 kms).. and is is alright to run the bike when its arnd the minimum level? the manual says abt 750 ml is in the radiator and just 250 ml in the expansion tank which is visible

also has anyone done the topup by themselves? i believe the tank needs to be removed to do it as the cap is not visible
Coolant from mid level to minimum level gets finished fasteven i have noticed that.... but from full to mid level takes quite a time...
May be the the tank is like this

it should not be finishing so soon in first place .. it is supposed to last for around 2years on an average .. your bike may be leaking coolant .. get it checked .. all the r15 owners i have come across have never topped up the coolant since 2-3yrs .. most of them dont even acknowledge the existance of it ...
dont you know that coolant in cars will last for almost its lifetime ?

Your engine will not last even a year, if you run it like this. Anyway, have fun with some expensive repairs in few months. Please do report the parts cost so others can use it for reference.

Yes.. you are right.. had gone to the SVC to get the falling levels checked.. even the manager there was surprised to see the level below minimum.. he said it seems to be a problem of leakage.. he has asked me to come again tomorrow as the mechanic who is trained for the NS had not come in today (good to know that they dont let any normal mechanic play around with it)

                      • Hello fellas..I am planning to buy P200 NS in october... I was wondering if by then the bajaj guys will resolve most of the problems reported by early buyers.... like engine heat up, color wearing off, fuel indicator probs, engine shutting down in between, etc...

Is it worth waiting for some improvements?

It costed me 200 rupees. It doesn't have 200NS, its just NS and Pulsar, I didn't like the 200NS as it looked too disproportionate to the pulsar logo so just removed 200NS and got new NS logos...

                            • Got some Decals on my babe

Polished it with Waxpol ( Cost : 100 Bucks ) polish yesterday.

Also , the bike has done 400+ kms. The gear shifts have become smoother , the engine sounds better , the clutch feels a little lighter & better now...the chain is slack...& the bike doesn't cranks in the first shot without a little twist of the throttle...maybe because its time to change the oil I think...

Wud be easier for us if you can give the link of ur previous posts. I just faintly remember something abt the bike ridden by ur father or brother.
Anyways abt the bike shutting off at idle, u can increase the the idle by rotating the idle screw clockwise direction. My Destiny is idling at abt 1.3k without stalling..

Just take it as my honest opinion buddy..
I think the decals on the swingarm looks overdone...
However, the 200 logo on the Left front shocks look awesome... U must have done the same on the right side as well...

EDIT - I was wandering why ur NS is looking extra sexy?? Then I notice the absence of the Tyre hugger...
