• Need info on price, installation and if possible a list of features.
• Need to know where in Mumbai is it available.
• Need to know if installing it will cease the warranty.
• Need to know if its safe to install on an all electric (non-kickstart) bike without too many incisions to the wiring.
The showroom guys themselves offered me an autocop feature for my ns. It costs 1000 bucks (here in mysore). They told me it will neither affect the warranty nor the electronics.

Oh btw, don't mess with the horn or the headlamps. It's got a pretty small and weak battery. Try led indicators.

Darn it. I've been waiting since 2 days to take delivery of my bike. Rains playing spoilsport and I cant trust the eurogrip tyres according to many on this thread.

However, if they have avoided the centre stand as it is a sports bike intended to corner well, then why don't they put correspondingly supporting better tyres? Anyone?

Also, the issue of not having a lock towards the Right Side is absurd. Why don't they put it in a 'sports' bike? I don't know.
Why not better tires? Because not everybody will be willing to go for soft rubber even if the increase in price is taken into consideration. I think it's more about negative advertising for Eurogrip from the reviewers. But the fact is that they are indeed very good and will suffice for the majority of 200NS owners.

And what's the fuss about handle locking? Where exactly is the issue faced? For the record, the lock on NS is not symmetrical and designed that way.

Regarding the tappet noise, the svc person told me it is tightened , but since I still can notice the sound...should I be worried? I tried looking into the posts to find any solution for sensor and tappet. For sensor the only action was replacement. Which haven't worked for me. For tappet can anything be done? I may be considered fuzzy, but a smooth running sound of the engine is always music to ears. Thanks in advance ...
How's the tappet noise now? Is it the loose nut kind thing?

You will get them at JC Road, for about 100 per piece. You can also contact Navnish on the forum or order it online on Ebay.

BTW I too stay near Silk Board!

I had previously used Xenos, which is quiet good. But any cutting of wires will void the warranty. Preferably get it installed from the dealer, so that you don't face any issues with the warranty. And yeah, it's safe! But don't cut any wires.

today while test riding ns i tried panic-braking on gravel road,it maintained its line, again i am saying grips are enough.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

Teflon coating, we must have heard this a lot of times, how is it done and what change could it bring, to answer these questions, we take a step by step look at the whole process as it is done on a Yamaha FazerWashing

This is the first step, the painted areas and the plastic parts like mudguards, speedometer etc are washed with a mild shampoo to make them free of dirt and dust, the surfaces are then wiped and dried. This is done so that the paint remains free of dust particles once the coating is applied. A soft cloth is used to make sure no unwanted scratches are also caused so as to ensure maximum quality.
Polishing

This step involves the application of polish on the painted surfaces. Typical car waxes and polishes are used in this step and in this case, 3M Car Wax. This is done so that once the paint has maximum possible shine and gloss before it is coated with Teflon.

This process can make dull paints look significantly brighter. Older bikes would have a much better appearance once this step is done. Differences are noticeable on shades like black which visibly fade easily and are the hardest to maintain.

Teflon Coating

This is the final step in the process, this was when I finally got to see the tiny bottle of prized liquid, Teflon. It has a particularly pungent smell to it when it is applied onto the paint. This smell however, disappears once it has dried. A soft cotton cloth is used to apply this liquid onto all the painted areas over the bike. It is then left to dry for a few minutes.

When the drops of Teflon dry up, it bonds to the surface, this is when the people start to use another piece of dry cotton to massage it onto the surface and turn It into another layer of a transparent, shiny coating. This can be quite laborious as a lot of effort is required; which is why at some centers polishing equipment is used. Once signs of the drops have disappeared, it is wiped once again with a clean cloth to make it free of any residue or dust.
The polishing of other plastic parts is done using a typical liquid car-dashboard polish. This brings out the shine in the non shiny parts and can leave the bike looking better than what it was when it came out of the showroom.

For the Fazer, the results were amazing, the paint had a really vibrant gloss and it looked much like a mirror. It looked much better than what it was like when it was new.
Differences:

• Even though the bike was brand new, just having run 1,200Km, the paint became much more glossy and shiny. It actually looked better than what it was like in the showroom.
• The new coating is claimed to offer minor scratch resistance, one hard swipe of the finger-nails across the surface can prove that. The paint surface seems to have become a little bit more slippery and tough.

Things to remember:

• Once the coating is done, it is advised by the centers not to use soap or other detergents on the paint as this can reduce the thickness of the coating. They recommend the use of Ph-neutral shampoo which is essentially car-shampoo that you can buy from any car-accessories stores.
• Teflon coating can recover faded paints but it has its limits. It cannot completely remove scratches, the swirl marks on the surface is reduced considerably after the entire process. If you simply want to recover faded paint, just use car waxes made by 3M, Formula1, Prestone, or any other major brand. Scratches can also be taken care of by using Scratch Out, from Formula 1 which is a liquid rubbing compound.
• The whole process takes just around 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the bike.
• Be sure to bargain with the dealer as they can be quite inconsiderate. The dealer initially quoted 750 Rupees for the job, which I promptly refused, a few minutes of bargaining and the price was brought down to just 550.
• The dealer has also given us a guarantee of one year that the paint would not fade as long as the instructions are followed.

There you go, the Teflon coating process, explained!

Nice pic Your beast is contrasting very well with the ninja..

Well, my fuel efficiency calculated by reserve to reserve method came out to be 40 kmpl with 50% highway and 50% city riding. Never crossed 60 kmph or 5k RPM. So, I feel like I could have gotten a little more Three sets of petrol were used -

1. 1 litre ( supposedly) by the showroom. I don't know what type of petrol it is..

2. 3.5 litres from one petrol bunk

3. 3 liters from another bunk ( i changed because I came to know that the previous bunk was not that good)

I didn't use speed or shell petrol. So my question is whether the mixing of all these affected my mileage? If yes, what should I do now? Use up all the remaining fuel before filling up again? Awaiting your replies..

i feel it is faintly audible... but probably paranoid...anyway going for a 1000+ km ride tomorrow to rameshwaram... will get to know of how things fare...

checked all the nuts and found that the mudguard one is a little bit off... .. hope it holds still....probably will visit another service station on the way..another thing i noticed now is that while on center stand the oil level looks a little bit lower than normal...hope it will not cause any problem during the long haul....

Still a few doubts though, need clarifications on those

1) The tank looks very scary, especially if you are sitting in the rider's seat. It seems to be very high and if you apply sudden brakes, there is a chance for damage. How much extent is this true??

2) How is the performance in rainy conditions? Does it splash the water into the pillion and how the tyres behave during this conditions??

1. Tank wont get damaged during hard braking! The forks are designed such that the bike and the rider remains safe !

2. Performance is good. But, I did not feel that confident on wet roads. he grip is not that good for cornering in wet roads
