    DHINCHIK DHINCHIK DHINCHIK... !!!

Yes today evening marked the delivery of a Blue NS..!!

Around 5 in the evening i was good to go, but i had not forgotten the most important part of a rider's safety.. :P I went to one of the many helmet shops around the area my friend Govind referred to.. bought my self a helmet which was all black and blue pretty much matching my ride..

    What a machine.. woohoo...!!

today while test riding ns i tried panic-braking on gravel road,it maintained its line, again i am saying grips are enough.
i was aware of fake stuff .. the place where i'bought it from was a big showroom and they had only original stuff .. there were ls2 phobia , cartoon , crown , cut throat , diamond etc etc etc .. i picked ls2 diamomd as i was told that all ls2 design helmets cost the same .. 2.4k final price .. got warranty , ls2 bag , ls2 manual and ls2 stickers...

Still a few doubts though, need clarifications on those

                1) The tank looks very scary, especially if you are sitting in the rider's seat. It seems to be very high and if you apply sudden brakes, there is a chance for damage. How much extent is this true??
tank wont get damaged .. even if it gets damaged then its very cheap to replace the outer tank shell .. need to have balls of steel to damage the tank under braking ..

                  • Hey guys,

Here are the pics of the mudflap i put on the front tire and the patch applied on the rear split mudguard to prevent mud sprinkling.

The front mudflap is attached as described by @DNA few pages ago. Its a rubber flap fixed with clamps which has nuts on it. You can get this easily in any bikes' spares shop. p220 mudflap would be much neater than than this though, so i am thinking of switching

The rear job is my own idea. I took a black plastic bag and wrapped it around some cardboard sheet. And then applied it in between the gap of split guards with th help of black electric insulation tape. It took some efforts as the counters of the two guards isn't the same. It looks ugly, but i think its better than whole lot of mud on my new NS. Hoping to find some permanent solution.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

                        2) How is the performance in rainy conditions? Does it splash the water into the pillion and how the tyres behave during this conditions??
1: Lol...this is a misconception , I mean I've been riding since the past 5 years & never came across anything like this unless there is a third guy on-board ( which definitely is not appropriate )...& this can't happen unless you are not holding the handlebars properly...so relax...

2: Tyres certainly lack grip to an extent & that's because of its hard compound & curvy profile...but you can upgrade them at nominal costs...
                        here @ ahmedabad , the MRF Revz 140/60-17 costs 2500 INR & the Zapper Q 140/70-17 costs 2675 INR...

Agree...the rear tyre locks very often even in normal braking conditions...the MRF guy also pointed this out when I showed my tyre to him...he said its because of the over-curvy profile , hence less contact with the road as compared to even the 120/xx-17 Zappers...

Well, my fuel efficiency calculated by reserve to reserve method came out to be 40 kmpl with 50% highway and 50% city riding. Never crossed 60 kmph or 5k RPM. So, I feel like I could have gotten a little more Three sets of petrol were used -

                            1. 1 litre ( supposedly) by the showroom. I don't know what type of petrol it is..

                            2. 3.5 litres from one petrol bunk

                            3. 3 liters from another bunk ( i changed because I came to know that the previous bunk was not that good)

I didn't use speed or shell petrol. So my question is whether the mixing of all these affected my mileage? If yes, what should I do now? Use up all the remaining fuel before filling up again? Awaiting your replies..
thanks bro...according to me you getting enough avg mileage

Isn't the curvy profile due to the rims of the bike or is it tyres ?

If the MRF rev z will look as low profile as FZ on my NS ?
