          Hi,
The recommended oil by company is Bajaj DTS-I 10000 [Grade : 20W50 API 'SL' or JASO 'MA'].
I got my first service at 451 kms. They used Bajaj engine oil.

But some how I seriously doubt the quality and durability of this oil. So, I was thinking of getting my oil changed at 1500 kms. And then go for 2nd service at 2500 km and then the oil will be changed again. Will this process be good for the vehicle ? What should be your take on this ?

I want to know, Which Point you should go for A. Or B. ?

This is what I'm thinking, I guess
          A.
@1500 km - Same Bajaj Engine Oil [as it will last 1000 km or so.]
@2500 km - Fully Synthetic Engine Oil

          B.
          @2000 km - FS Oil
@5000 km - go for 2nd Service with same FS Oil

          Valvoline 4T 20W50 - Semi Syn
          Motul 300 V 15W50 - FS - Best - Rs. 950
          Motul 7100 4T 20W50 - FS - Better - Rs. 750
Motul prices inquired through Ghaziabad distributors.

Can anyone let me know: if we use after market oil, will it void warranty?
Please let me know if you have something else as advice.
What I'm confused is with when should we use FS or SS like after how many kms?
Generally it isnt advisable to use FS oil before 5K kms

i am not completely sure but u are better off with mineral or the SS oil which bajaj provides till 3-4K kms

FS oil is too slipery for running in and ur running in period will be prolonged

and the bajaj oil aint so bad that it will last just 1K kms

Registration they will send my papers to the rto under which my residence is marked.I just need to take the bike and go when they call me...they are cheating you man, just take the bike and go.ask the to call you when the registration is to be done, if you have already made the payment.

            • Yet to get my hands on my Red darling.

Thinking of changing the synthetic oil that comes from factory into mineral oil straight way.

              What say?

NO OFFENSE: Do the engineers from Pune come all the way to attend a single bikes issues? I really doubt that !
                Any more inputs?
i think he was just trying to make you feel like a vip so that you dont shout at him ... the bike must be with you by now ... has the problem been resolved ? .. whats the status ?

They are saying it is taking time because they still have to pay to Bajaj. They gave the Chassis no. Though..

The bikes won't get dispatched until pre-payment is done and cleared. Dealers pay for the bikes+transportation much ahead of dispatch. This is called 'order punching'. A bike is considered sold whenever it leaves the factory. - This information was provided by the manager friend of an authorized bajaj dealer for 3 districts of Karnataka.

RE used to/still practice post payment in form of DD or the customer draws a DD in the name of RE, payable at Chennai (or the factory/HQ location), i don't remember correctly.

The showroom people are simply harrasing you!

and the question remains why do i race?
