No vibes for me too...way too smooth...best riding pleasure!!!
And if some guys want to compare each and evry thing with p220 then go for p220 , they are still making it!

I was touching 100 in no time and believe me all, the thread readers...

You feel nothing on your legs!! Absolutely nothing!!

All you feel is that rush and the beautiful sound the engine makes post 5k RPM...that smooth hum...

          Really? 10 feet away?...Really??

You bloody ruined that brand new engine and for a wannabe who acts like you know a lot bout bikes, you know nothing!!

Do you really think you look cool by doing this?
As someone on this thread already told you...you need to get a life dude!!
          +1 to this!
I also got very irritated by his review.

if i knew that paint peel off is under warranty then i could have complained bajaj when i got my bike, the thing was their was a big scratch under the swingarm both sides, even posted in p220 thread but no one insisted me to inform bajaj, btw i took the bike from a small showroom and i think my bike was a display bike, so better thing is to avoid small showroom

Look now I don't own a duke or the NS but see I just want to set the expectations right when you're testing a new bike.

although it's a sports bike, you know it has a run-in time. It's not an MV Agusta that you can rev. they have the model there for you to experience how it feels, looks, etc.
it's not there for performance testing. you're not suppose to measure the topspeed in each gear or the acceleration. (you have online reviews for that or you can ask fellow xbhpians who have first hand experience).
The only fault the dealer made is not telling you that you're not suppose to rip it. the way you test rode the bike, if I had it I would even try to do wheelies, stoppies burnouts and all that. I would have done it with a pillion cos I love the way the NS and 200 are built for satisfying a stunter. Now would you say it's the dealer's fault if I do that to the bike.
To hell with what the dealer did or not, being a responsible citizen, you didn't care about anyone who would be getting that bike, why cos you wanted to test the performance.
you're sounding like any criminal who ever did a crime saying that it's the victim's fault.

it shouldn't be like that. You were not suppose to handle the bike like that - admit it..and if possible please don't repeat it.

I just didn't like your attitude about saying that "it's the dealer's fault". and it's ok to be direct, but if you did something wrong, think about it before you start defending it. accepting your mistakes does take anything away from you. You'll grow in life if you learn to accept it and work on.
All the best for which ever is the next bike. Cheers

Good to see you mention the negetives as well, and not go only by emotions.

The "Khat" noise that you mentioned is serious, if it comes from front forks.
The issue was reported by @Faffy and as I remember, his front forks were replaced during the 1st service. Please check.

about saddle height; I'm 5.9" as well, but I guess will manage.

Weight issue wont bother u much as time passes, and u get used to the weight/ bike.

About, bike swaying, it also depends on your body balance as well. Dont even bother about it, as it will never effect your riding.

Do follow up with all the issues during your service, and keep us updated.

Also, can u please tell about your feel on the low end torque of the bike??

BTE, @chintan,@rocketjack did get their oilfilters replaced in teir 1st service.

BTW,thanks for more naked pics of the naked beast!!!!!
but are you allowed to be present in front while servicing?? Here in kol, they always disallow me!!
Guess Shiba you are pretty regular in xbhp...now as I feared always the service issue of Bajaj came out once more...and yaa you need to have some raport with the service guys they will let u in for sure ...thats how I do it...

                    • FINAL WARNING FOR Mr. Rohan200ns

If I find you posting blatant OT and spreading misinformation like this either here OR on the Duke thread, you will surely getting a *minimum* 7 day ban.

This is an ownership thread. Come back when you are an owner. If you have a first impression, post it here.

Edit: This warning is as a result of his behavior for the last 1 month, and not just for what happened tonight. Good Night.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                        • I like you guys. Your my kinda of people

Slightly OT. I like you guys. Your my kind of people.
Its good to see you guys are concerned about the bike which got trashed during the test drive. Its so rare to find that kind of attitude.
I am probably going to try the bike this week. I use a 12 year old CBZ. it has a lot Vibes after 70kms/hr so when i come back from the test drive you will get my 2 cents on that matter(vibes). Whether its a deal breaker or not.

                          • Hi to all,
I had introduced myself in the What Bike section and was a silent follower of this thread till now. HAD to butt in because of the extraordinary review of Rohan200NS. And to drive away the scare he created a few days backa. Sorry mods if it's OT but it's needed I think.
I moved to Nagpur a couple of days back and here they have the bike available from the last one and a half month i guess. So the test rides are properly run in I guess(At least not raped by someone the way rohan200NS did) I took a test ride of Duke and 200NS the very day I landed( within 2 hours of a 22 hour journey). I was tired as could be, but just too excited to wait. And my experience begs to differ from Rohan's.
THE BIKE FEELING HEAVY DURING RIDING? Not at all. I'm 5'9" and a bit on the leaner side(55 kgs). The bike feels huge and yes, heavy, but at standstill. Once you start rolling, the bike is extremely flickable, and quite confidence inspiring, even for someone with a frame like me. This is one area where it surpassed the Duke by miles( And I'm NOT exaggerating here.)
VIBES?! Now, this is one area where the bike surpassed my expectations from a pulsar. The revs were climbing real fast, and what felt like shifting at 4k rpms( compared to P180s, P220s), I was actually shifting at 6 or 7k rpms. What i mean to say is that there was NO HINT of any kind of vibes from any part of the bike till that range. I am so sure the bike will go smooth on the higher revs too. I will definitely confirm it tomorrow.
                            HEAT?? NO.
The brakes were excellent, headlamps bright enough, the power is well distributed throughout the bands and all you can expect. I'm definitely going for it over the duke. It's 92,819 here on-road and the duke comes at 1.3L.
The only things I dislike are the horns which are quite weak for this motorcycle, the Eurogrip tyres and I'm really sorry for this-the look of the bike is not pleasing to me( I had R15 on my options list), the build quality could have been better. Choosing a colour can be extremely difficult. The blue, black and red are quite appealing. I was sold for yellow before I took a look in person but yellow somehow doesn't look muscular enough.
A word to Rohan200NS- dude, you're just trying to convince yourself not to buy the 200NS. Why scare others? Go for the Duke( and I guarantee it's not going to satisfy you. What you're looking for is a superbike that comes under 1.5L ). You just abused a brand new bike for your own mental peace. Did you ever consider that the problems you faced were just because of ripping off a brand new engine that was begging to be set in first? Of course you didnt, and I dont expect you to.

Believe me that's not you fault at all.... in India where we have the "sab chalta hai" mentality, the dealers are giving fresh motorcycles to be test ridden... such things are bound to happen.

The dealers should always give properly runned in motorcycles for Test rides, but in Indian scenario where there is a billion population after an apple, I guess, that would be a very absurd scenario.

@rohan200NS.. The above quotes says it all.
It was really sick of you rip a new bike like that. U very well knew that those were not test riding bikes. even if u give the excuse of "SPORTS BIKE", and test riding means thrashing the bike at the fullest, then u should have waited the test bikes to be registered by the dealer, and not do it on the bike which u very well know that will be owned by some1 else.

only 2 things that I can say to u-
1-stop being so negative and excessively critical about every minor things. (telling this after reading your post in both Duke and NS columns)
2- as @antz.bin suggested get a life... Really.

Would be so good of u if you convey the same to bajaj. This particular thing is happening all over India, and not only by the outsiders(in the form of test-riding), but by the manufacturing people as well(while bringing the bikes from warehouse/factory to dealer showroom).
I have a good Idea for controlling it.
The bikes must come from the factory with the speedo attached, and there can be a temporary breakable seal on the speedo. If the dealer/anyone disconnects the speedo, and there-by the owner can recognize that the speedo has been tampered with.
For this the manufacturer can mention that any where upto xxxkms in the odo can be acceptable by the owners, which can be attributed for handling purposes.
