                    Few doubts:

                    1. If the engine has not completed run in, won't its performance be affected by redlining?

                    2. No other reviewer or owner has complained of vibes.. So don't you think it's a problem with those two bikes?

P.S - Thanks for your insight about the test ride :-)

                    • @payeng : you are absolutely right! Someone would have complained about vibes. It's not like everyone works for bajaj!

1 - it will harm the engine ..
2 - dude just test ride it yourself and see .. another guy went for a test ride after us and we asked him bout the vibes wen he came back .. he told us that he did not ride it above mid revs so he did not feel any vibes .. then i put the bike on neutral ,, revved it and showed him the vibes ...
always remember to check the bike in every rev range during test ride ..
the owners are riding it carefully at lower revs ,, so they have not yet felt the vibes ..
the test ride bikes at popular bajaj bannerghatta road were unregistered and had their speedo disconnected ( tacho was working ) .. they might deliver it to someone like a new bike .. avoid buying black and blue here ... blue one was royally thrashed by me

                              • @ashwini : For our paint peel off you should mail it to Bajaj. Paint peel off comes under warranty and that part of yours should be replaced. Please do not accept and touch up done by service guys. I would advise you to take your bike to another bajaj service centre where guys are trained properly or else they will ruin your bike. Please take care. I saw amount of 135 or 155 mentioned in your bill, what is that amount ? Also you should not have allowed the service guy to get your logo stuck by Feviquick.

Its going to be a long post with lot of pictures. Well to get started, I reached for service at 451 kms of reading. I had in mind that I will be getting some premium treatment but it was all to my surprise. They said this is the first NS which was going to be serviced there. But I found, most of the people had no idea about the bike or what needs to be done for the first service. The guy had being given the training, but he had no hands on experience. The bolts which are used in the tank to tight, they didn't had proper tools to open it even. Then they called the showroom guys and got the proper tool set which was then used to open up the tank. I had reached @ 8 am and already it was 12:30 and they had just managed to open up my tank cover.

Please let me know whether they change the oil filter or just clean it. Owners who got thier service done, just let me know.
@faffy : Good that your issues were taken care off.

When asked works manager, he said its normal coz of the four valves n al,it makes lil noise....i am not sure how much this is true.

it was me who had this issue... i am also not sure its the same issue which you are facing here...if you are saying it makes noise when you ride over some pothole at little higher speeds ,then i guess its normal... to confirm if its the same issue as mine, just press the front brake lever and push the vehicle down pressing the front suspension, if at the end postion of suspension travel you get some khat noise and suspension bounces back, then its same issue as mine. For this SVC manager said there is some problem with axle play and ball bearing and stuff, he changed the entire wheel from a new NS(not the forks,as somebody mentioned), after that this issue was not there...

yep it does attract hell lot of attraction due to many reasons... i had gone for a short bike trip with a blue NS owner, but people were hardly noticing his bike... once even a "thulla" (traffic cop) caught me saying is this a imported bike ,show me the documents and all...i had a hard time explaining him that its a new pulsar and a Bajaj bike

bike swaying little left is there, also it depends on how you are sitting , i was feeling the same, but when the SVC guy rode it, it was very much straight so i think the problem i was how i was sitting...

yep ,even i feel the same and being a ex-ZMA owner too, it was more evident

Even i had false neutral issue after riding continuosly for half n hour or so, it was rectified, though the Bajaj team did not mention what they changed n all, now i am not getting this isssue, but once a while i get it, may be i am not shifting properly.

And i dint find it good for off roading. Due to hard suspension it was terrible to ride at potholed Singhad fort road , but handling is great
@Rohan : yes you need to remove tank cover for filling coolant.

try sitting closer to the tank .. it will definitely work

@faffy -- did you get all the issues sorted out ?... for how many days did they keep your bike with them ?

@ all ns owners -- do you have to take out the tank cover to fill coolant ??
@Faffy : I am not facing vibrations as of now so i have not reported them. If i was facing any vibes i would report them immediately. When i am not facing it why should i accept it at all.

For Engine Oil leak: oil seal was replaced
For Suspension "khat" noise : Axle problem, wheel was replaced
For Hard gears and False Neutral : Dont know what they did but gears have become smooth now(acc to mech some spring inside they changed, though couldn't ask him properly as he was not allowed to tell these details and Manager was present) , false neutral not gettin as many as before but once a while shifting from 1-2 , 2nd gear doesn't get engaged , again il have to shift, may be we need to apply more pressure when shifting from 1-2.
Vibrations: Reduced not, but not completely, and this much vibrations are there in all bikes i guess, but dont knw why here nobody reported/accepted it excepted for one or two owners. I cheked in two other bikes and in all these many vibes were there. And there is a trick, when u sit as pillion if u dont keep ur feet firmly on foot pegs, u can feel the vibes, but once u place feet firmly vibes are gone. But still u can feel the bikes on rear brake lever and under ur butt on seat if u just rev the bike in neutral and i guess thats normal.
For low engine Oil indicator : They replaced my whole console i dont know why. May be there was a porblem with the console.

Now hopefully my bike is issuefree(for now atleast)

And the other NS which had issues, they had taken it back to company with them for one more day, and de-assembled and then assembled it back it seems as there was some major wiring issue. I dont know the exact details though.
@Ajai : Congrats Ajai please do pics. Waiting for them

@Pankaj : I was also not given any accessory. They just did one time teflon coating for me as i was the first owner. I would suggest you to buy that blue color water proof cover (also called as TAAL PATRI cover) which costs just 175/- and buy Enfield cover as it perfectly fits P200NS.

@Rohan : Vibes are not faced by me. Could never imagine you comparing P200NS to an RTR. The bike you tested would not have been tuned properly. My bike picks up at 3000k also. And we are not hiding any vibes out here. We write what we experience, we are owners and have ridden the bike more than you. You would not be satisfied with any bike in the world, you would always find issues in every bike. I would like you to check what you write before posting it out here.

                                first the good bits :-
-- the engine is very smooth .. ( unicorn territory )
-- revs up very nicely and quite quickly too .. ( r15 type )
-- gear shifts were absolute delight ... loved it ... smooth and light with the right amount of click feedback ..
-- clutch is light and easy
                                -- riding position is super
-- rider seat is very big .. pillion seat is big too ..
-- acceleration is good but not best ..
-- looks handsome in flesh ..
-- tacho is quick to respond to the revs .. unlike earlier pulsars ...
-- braking is too good ..
-- the engine is in silent mode until 5000rpm ..

                                now the bad bits :-
-- the vibes are alarming from foot pegs , handle bar , side panels ... i thought that rtr had the highest vibes but this thing beats it in vibes dept in a bad way ..
-- the perimeter frame also has quite a bit of vibes ..
-- vibes start from 6000rpm and gets alarming after 7000rpm ..
-- vibes were verified by both me and another xbhp member .. the bikes were brand new and were freshly brought out from the stock yard in front of us .. we were the first bunch of guys who got to ride it .. there were 2 test ride bikes ,, black and blue .. we tested both bikes for vibes and to our fear ,, it was the same ...
-- it was ridden only for a short time before me and i could feel the engine heat from 10ft away .. i could smell burnt engine and also it had some fumes coming out ..
-- the bike heats up more at the left side .. i got my left thigh roasted ..
-- the bike feels heavy for zig-zag traffic riding ..
-- rider seat is very wide and this makes it difficult for shorter guys ..thighs have to go wide from the seat for the feet to reach the ground ...
-- the rear foot pegs and the alluminium bit which holds the foot pegs are very weak .. it will flex sideways with very little effort .. it will eventually break if a heavy person gets on quickly..
-- the engine is powerless before 5000rpm ..
-- power is felt after 6000rpm and you get treated with a massage on your arms , thighs and feet post 7000rpm ...
-- i was expecting wheelie when i redlined it on 1st and 2nd gears but it didnt happen .. ns is not an advisable upgrade for p220 owners .. it is not entertaining enough ...
-- roll on acceleration is bad at low revs ... roll on acceleration is quite ok at mid revs but it will not give the KICK AT THE BACK kind of feel ...
-- note that the engine is very smooth only before midrange ..becomes harsh towards top revs and whole body vibrates ..

i really dont know why the vibes were kept hidden in all reviews .. these were fresh new bikes and was verified by me and another xbhp member on both bikes ...
@Rohan : For your fun you ruin other peoples bike. A real biker would never do that Rohan.

the owners are riding it carefully at lower revs ,, so they have not yet felt the vibes ..
the test ride bikes at popular bajaj bannerghatta road were unregistered and had their speedo disconnected ( tacho was working ) .. they might deliver it to someone like a new bike .. avoid buying black and blue here ... blue one was royally thrashed by me
