The service guys must get their knowledge base updated, and should have worked on some test mules, rather than experimenting on owners bikes!!!

BTE, @chintan,@rocketjack did get their oilfilters replaced in teir 1st service.

BTW,thanks for more naked pics of the naked beast!!!!!
but are you allowed to be present in front while servicing?? Here in kol, they always disallow me!!
Thanks for the info bro, now I'm seriously thinking of droping a mail to customer care for this. Plus, also let them know about the paint peeling off. Yeah, no body stopped me or any body from entering the workshop bay, here I guess we have a different story.

Yeah, here in moonsoons, the bike was getting a heck lot dirty which I couldn't see. It was getting the rear mudguard, the number plate, the tyre hugger and the paint area beneath the rear seat a lot dirty. So, what I did was took a tube, cut it as per dimensions and fixed it with hard pins. It really helps a lot. My bike was getting a lot less dirty now. It was done earlier and posted, I don't remember by whom.

thanx for sharing your exp at the svc... The oil filter needs to be changed... Go and blast them...
@shibadip: osl bajaj workshop at b.l. saha road is just 1 min walk from my house... I take my bro's pulsar there to service... First time when i went inside they disallowed me and i simply blasted and threatened them that my house is just beside the svc...then i told them that okay gimme back my keys i am taking my bike to another svc so that you mechanics can have a ball in there tampering with the parts... After that they allow me whenever i go i have made a good rappo with the osl guys

Thanks for the detailed review mate. I agree to your above point. It is less than acceptable for the bike to sway towards any side. Does anyone have any information on this? Can we conveniently live with this issue considering we dont ride the bike leaving the handles?
In my opinion, I dont see a probability that Bajaj will be able to fix this one. Please opine on this.

Ok then, Next time to SVC; will go with you
Its always better if 1 can stay in front of the bike while servicing.
1stly, one can learn many things about maintenance by observing the mechanics.
2ndly, one can make sure, that the SVC guys dont mis-handel your bike.
3rdly, get hold of the service manula, and ensure that all the procedures are followed.

                • Hi All
I am new to this thread although I have been following this thread since last couple of months, I have also booked this BEAST in Khivraj Motors Indiranagar Bangalore paid 100482 On road without accessories.
Saw all the four colors in Khivraj Kasturba road.. I opted for red or blue color but when I saw the Yellow color fell in love with it, may be love at first sight happened for me ... Hope today will be the press release in Bangalore & deliveries starts from 19th of this month.

Ns built quality is good, sound roars Awesome, seats are bit broader,Dint like the body color sticker on mudgard as it was bit peel off from it. other wise metallic paint quality is superb, Suspension was very good but I felt the bike is bit heavy,

Waiting for my beast since March.
Anyone driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac.

Yes, Front Mudgaurd color scheme looks odd, might have looked better if center of mudgaurd was yellow just like in FZ-S

So triple spark has no actual use at all?? or is it aimed at some other enhancement to the performance?? as far as the engine comparison goes. . milage is the only area wer the pulsar is expected to exceed the duke in terms of performance. right??

Triple spark is used in expectation that it will give more or less similar performance wrt Duke's since Duke has got Fi. Mileage is a highly variable factor which depends on the rider's habit of riding.

The third spark is not to bump up the fuel efficiency. The main use of the third spark is to minimize the use of catalysts in the silencer / exhaust can.

Catalysts are expensive materials but manufacturer has to put them to adhere to pollution norms.

I liked the one which is presently there, because the black finish in mudgard is a mat finish & its a rough surface. They could have worked bit with the stickering job. but anyways this is not an big issue.

                              • Could anybody give comparison of Headlight Intensity of 200NS to that of P220, if the beam pattern is better or equal than 220. My take 220 having projectors might have better beam pattern.
