Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi eveyone....
I am still confused......200NS is a great bike but not having a bike is killing me...i don't wants to scoot around on a scooter always....no i dont regret saying goodbye to the baby ceeber but i regret not having a bike now. Bajaj is really testing our patience for the SS and the CS..I rather go for CS than SS. Its already July..August is near...hope this diwali Bajaj would give us some eye candy in the form of CS400 with Twin disc in the front....that would be lovely...relaxed riding position,USD's in the front.twin display console..and most important good rubber .....thats my dream pulsar...."Hope"!!!!please Bajaj please....bring a solid RED and solid Black as color option...!!!
ill buy one honest!!!!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello all,
Been planning to change my tires ever since I got my bike in April. The Eurogrips aren't particularly bad but they are downright shoddy in the wet.
I use my bike to commute around 80 KMS each day, and I don't want to ride with sword hanging on my head.
Finally upgraded the shoes on my bike today.
Front: MRF Zapper FX1 - stock size
Rear: MRF Revz-Y - 140/60-R17 (these are radials)
Edit: Just checked the Yamaha FZ v2 launch thread, FX! and Revz-Y are from that bike
Pricing:
Fronts: INR 1950
Rear: INR 3200 (3K for Revz-S)
The tread pattern of the FX1 is very similar to FX, its supposed to be an evolution of the FX.
I originally planned to install Revz-S on the rear rim in stock size, had never heard of the Revz-Y and the tread pattern is more or less similar to Revz-S. Though why not!
There is a reduction in the ride height, and this will make the missus very happy.
The size difference can be seen in the chart below from tacomaworld:
24.17 (613.8) 23.61 (599.8) -0.55 (-14) -2.3% 5.12 (130) 5.51 (140) 0.39 (10) 7.7% 75.92 (1928.31) 74.19 (1884.33) -1.73 (-43.98) -2.3% 3.58 (91) 3.31 (84) -0.28 (-7) -7.7% 834.59 (518.59) 854.07 (530.69) 19.48 (12.1) 2.3%
Real world difference:
Difference of night and day. I could feel the difference immediately when I took a short test ride. Stomped on the rear brake at around 40 kmph and the tires hardly locked, quite unlike the Eurogrips. There is a lot more feel from the front too and the steering feels a little lighter.
Have used them for barely 5 KMS as of now, will report once I start my office grind tomorrow onwards.
Thanks for reading. Will upload pics of the bike and tires shortly.
CheersLast edited by hirenmistry; 07-16-2014, 06:21 PM.All riders fall; some get back on, some don't, some can't...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi,
A instrument console comparison for the bikes i am considering ,
ZMA, 200NS,GW250,D390
Note: Pic taken from google.and xbhp
ZMR and D390 are the one with full Digital console, but the 200NS and Inazuma have awesome manual tachos ...very functional and looks good too.
if i want looks...it would be Inazuma,....if i want functionality the it would be D390, If VFM then its 200NS...functionality with aesthetics!!!!
no wonder D390 looks the part and works well too.
ZMA is out of question now..thanx to the 2014 model! Spot availability.
200NS. Looks Butch, but limited color options and avg rubber , price is good, Spot availability.
Inazuma is not yet launched in vizag. inquired with Suzuki dealer, Sales rep was not able to pronounce "INAZUMA"..that's a different story for later.only Twin cylinder below 3L
D390 looks good. Price is 211000 in Vizag, 1 month waiting time. awesome rubber but pricey to replace. high service cost, few quality issues,
My Dilemma ...1 have 1.5L with me....If i buy 200NS i can up grade new rubber and keep the stock with me in case i want to sell it within a year,
Dont want to wait for Inazuma...but it would be perfect for my requirement, though its a bit longer than i would have preferred. Its twin cylinder as well so expect very less vibrations at higher RPM's.
I wont be doing any high speed runs ,so a 25 +BHP bike is adequate for me.
200NS or D390??????

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey experimentalhead,
How are you?
The DS was sold as there was no parking place for it, already had 2 bikes..and then came in the DS,...i didnt have enough parking.....no issues with the bike...awesome torque.....awesome looks....Now the CBR.....to be honest it was feeling a bit too long in the tooth....need something light and quick with good service...honda never gave me the service i expected from then...thats why u would never see me mentioning honda with a capital "H"...they are good for 100 cc bike and scooter service only not for higher capacity....though i would say honda do make awesome SBK's...and i would never return to honda ever.

Here are the pictures of my latest adventure, please excuse the muck/grime all over my ride. That's what rains and Bombay does.

Side Profile: As you can see some additional space between the stone guard and the tire.

Hey Bharkha,
If u were unhappy with the service Honda provided then i shall inform you that bakak sets the benchmark for bad servicing.Went for my first service today and they have made scratches on my front rim. Also the rear brakes are too tight.Originally posted by Barkha View PostHey experimentalhead,

Hey yourself!!Originally posted by Barkha View PostHey hirenmistry

I quite agree to this, if you don't ride in the rain; you dont ride
BTW, I think you should get the NS among the bikes you have listed. The NS is an amazing ride and great value for money.
The VFM quotient goes up even further if you go the used bike route like I did. The engine is smooth, vibe free with a good spread of power.
And it returns over 40kmpl consistently, what more can you hope for? My ride gives me around 42-45 kmpl.
Coming to your concern about tires, you can easily remedy that with just 5K (2K for the front and 3K for the rear) plus you will get around 2K back for the Eurogrips. So win win!
Go for it.All riders fall; some get back on, some don't, some can't...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey Aman Prasad .
How are you?
sorry to hear that...nothing worst than seeing scratches on your bike.....
were u not there when they were servicing the bike?
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Hey hirenmistry
Ya if i take VFM then there is no match for 200NS...but i dont want to lose out on the highway ...many a times guys in there so called sports cars (read swift and i20) try to race me on the CBR..it loses steam by 135...so i need a lil more power...so i was considering D390...its not that i want to race anybody but ego do kicks in sometime....if u take the Bajaj badge and place 200NS and D390 side by side then it would be 200NS any day....i am lil apprehensive about bajaj....not that i have owned a bajaj previously but read many horror stories about them.
Milage is something i am not concerned about millage ,happy with 20KMPL or lower.I have a Vespa 125 for scooting around city.i need a bike for weekend rides.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
It is really dangerous to race with cars on highways as they have many safety features and also they are least bothered of dogs or any animals getting in their way except cows. So i always let the cars overtake me as no use in showing who is boss as it is just showing one's ego and nothing else. And no a P 200 NS cannot outgun a swift as a swift can comfortably touch 145-150 before breaking a sweat. For out gunning a swift atleast a multicylinder like Ninja 300 is required. Single cylinder engines will find it difficult to catch up with most premium hatchbacks. But why to race with cars when we have own means of advantage over them like moving through gaps with ease, going where normal cars cannot go and so else. So please do not race with cars. I hope i am not preaching but just stating in a constructive way.Originally posted by Barkha View PostHey hirenmistryYa if i take VFM then there is no match for 200NS...but i dont want to lose out on the highway ...many a times guys in there so called sports cars (read swift and i20) try to race me on the CBR..it loses steam by 135...so i need a lil more power...so i was considering D390...its not that i want to race anybody but ego do kicks in sometime....if u take the Bajaj badge and place 200NS and D390 side by side then it would be 200NS any day....i am lil apprehensive about bajaj....not that i have owned a bajaj previously but read many horror stories about them.Milage is something i am not concerned about millage ,happy with 20KMPL or lower.I have a Vespa 125 for scooting around city.i need a bike for weekend rides.Photo of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/854067-post963.html-3.88 lac km cont....Ownership review of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/832255-post608.html- slowly updating as and when getting time.
