100 or 110km/h is the comfort zone of Pulsar 200ns any above than that and the bike takes quite a while on picking up speed, plus speed above 120 becomes very dangerous and you are risking your live, but it's one's life, some 2 or 3 years back we saw an horrendous accident of Yamaha's R1 the guy who was riding the bike would be at probably 170 or 180 and few miles ahead he had an accident, the bike was broken into two pieces and the rider was dead on the spot with his skull fracutred badly.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Pulsar 200ns is a value for money product and if u want to race on the highway than take the Duke 390. It will do 0-100 in less than 7 seconds with a top speed of 170kmph(value for money product) and it will outperform some called sports cars on the highway 0-130kmph speed...most important duke 390 is more than adequate for Indian conditionOriginally posted by Barkha View PostHey Aman Prasad .
How are you?
sorry to hear that...nothing worst than seeing scratches on your bike.....
were u not there when they were servicing the bike?

Hey hirenmistry
Ya if i take VFM then there is no match for 200NS...but i dont want to lose out on the highway ...many a times guys in there so called sports cars (read swift and i20) try to race me on the CBR..it loses steam by 135...so i need a lil more power...so i was considering D390...its not that i want to race anybody but ego do kicks in sometime....if u take the Bajaj badge and place 200NS and D390 side by side then it would be 200NS any day....i am lil apprehensive about bajaj....not that i have owned a bajaj previously but read many horror stories about them.
Milage is something i am not concerned about millage ,happy with 20KMPL or lower.I have a Vespa 125 for scooting around city.i need a bike for weekend rides.

). Secondly, why are you parting it out between NS and D390
? NS is no match to D390 whatsoever, If you can have a D390 then i would say wait it out and buy the RC390 for approx 20 - 30k more(as it is slated to launch soon). The D390 is a powerhouse which is hard to tame, it gives out almost twice the performance of CBR250, kindly bear that in mind. I think you have a Vespa. So i would suggest to wait it out till the next iterations come out. (Hope i was not harsh on you
). Happy riding to you

Hi Mahesh Kumar
How are you? .
1) i am parting it out with NS and D390 as i got 1.5L cash and i can buy a 200NS on spot and upgrade to good rubber too, but if i do go for D390 i got to stretch my budget by 60K,
2)I dont want a faired bike anymore, already had the CBR250, so looking for a naked street Bike for week end rides.
3)Ya i have a vespa and yes i did wait for the 300GTS but its not launched yet and i dont know if it will, it can take on 200NS any day.
4)if u want 200NSFi then i would suggest u pick up the duke 200.
5)No you were not harsh.

HI deep007
How are you?
Ya 200NS is a VFM,and i dont want to race with the D390 , its only that when a boy racer tries his luck with me i should have enough power on the tap to out gun him.

Hi sibun
How are you?
i understand it really dangerous to race with cars on highways but i don't really wana race them ..just a small twist of throttle will show then who is the boss.
i wanted a twin cylinder but i don't want to spend that much , if stretch my budget the ill do max of 4.5L ..my options are limited to N300,HD S750 and GT650N.

Hi kusmaker
How are you?
i dont usually cross 90 on a bike ,,,until absolutely required...as i need the bike only for weekend rides i wont be doing speed runs on it. its only that i need the power on tap if required,...riding a SBk at 150+ is ok i guess but the rider should be completer kitted up with all the safety gear,.after all u spend so much and then u don't ride it at the speed its supposed to ride...its not always the Bike but its always the rider, !!!!!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Mam If you Want a bike for weekend runs, I'll suggest drop ns and Rob a bank/murder a rich grandmother/nany after forcing her to sign property papers/win a lottery or etc and GET DUKE390 ...!!
Yourr afraid to waste 60k, but trust me, once you purchase ns and ride a 390 thereafter, you'll curse yourself for wasting 1 lac.
So get funds from wherever you can and buy only 390.
If ns is as fast as,as scary as x.
Then 390 will crush that x, tear it up, eat it down and shit in the morning.
Just saying.

So it's same old comparison problem, boys or men's will always try to be ahead of a female and in reply female will show that we are equal to you or better from you but what's the point, a female is a female and a male is a male, both are unique in there own way and complete in there own way, nature has designed everything according to its potential then there is no reasont to show anything to anyone for proving yourself, the moment you try to prove something to someone then it means deep inside you know you are lacking something(which you are not i think), you can ride at any speed you want why to race against someone driving something or riding something is a exhilarating stuff itself why to loose it for someone else.
Do you think when a person shells out an insane amount for a superbike or so called sports bike, he will not shell more amount for protective gear, most of the time he will but the road conditions plus pathetic traffic habits and no sense of traffic can bring any unwanted situations no one is better trained better equipped then professional motorcycle racers and high speed acts should only be attempted on proper race tracks.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
So after riding the bike for almost an year, NS seem to have done really well and on par with the expectations.
The k&n is doing great on the carb and so is the ride and efficiency.
Switching to zapper 140/60 on the rear is highly highly recommended if you have problems with the ride height and esp grip (Bad Bad Euroslips )..Apart from the height only thing I find annoying on the bike is the heavy handle bar, takes much effort to turn when moving slow.Except for that its a great ride.

Hi Anuj_Gupta
How are you doing?
no i dont have to do all that to get the D390.....lol.....
Ya i like the 200NS .looks like a proper bike....but D390 ends before it starts....if u know what i mean.
Hi kusmaker
Ya i know i don't need to prove anything to any one but isint competition now part of our life..its everywhere,,right from School to the road.
and yes racing should be in a controlled environment and not on public road.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Barkha ji I am fine and please don't confused between power and looks in case with the pulsar 200ns and duke 390.
Pulsar 200ns is good for 100-110kmph Speed on the highway and duke 390 is 130-135 for the highway (due to wind resistance) both are value for money product.
You can also Wait till the Duke 390 rc series launched this year and will help you on the highway

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yes and I am not able to find windshield that will come under 2000 rupees. Only one from the rtm they are expensive around 3000Originally posted by BarkhaHi deep007
Ya 200NS is got for arount 110 to 120.....duke will go higher if an windshiled is isntalled....i was looking for updrade parts for the 200NS and D390..found lil for 200NS and tones for D390
More important that when I am behind a scorpio car at around 110kmph speed the bike rides like butter smooth when there is no big vehicle infront of me than I have to face a lot of wind more than my discover 135 at 100kmph speed

This is my second bike, first was a 2010 CBZ Xtreme. This bike is stylish, powerful, easy to handle.
Here are some pics of my new love

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Had to give my bike to SVC to fix the engine oil leakage.
I guess something went wrong with the head due to which the oil was leaking, i am doubting it could be due to the threads going Kaput on the head while adjusting Tappet ...may be ??
Anyone had the same issue ?? Any suggestions will be welcome.

Duno why you feel so, my ns goes vroom same until 128 kmph, after that it becomes like a rtr ..
I've done about 130kms with speeds never less than 120kmph. Engine was still smooth, no problem at all.Only thing that made me almost feel pain was, when I ended my ride, got down from my bike, it felt like million ants were biting all over my body, for 5 min I had to withstand that feeling. But overall it was a incredible experience.
