I'm using Apache RTR and stock one together. Sounds good and loud but not so irritating loud.

This is offtopic but still related to this in someways..
Just test rode a newly serviced 4k Kms old R15 and was greatly impressed, guys do you think the upcoming 200SS powered by the same engine as ours, will be as stable as the R15 V2.0 at high speeds ? and have slightly better handling too ? I hope Bajaj kills it this time also.. fingers crossed..

Of course there will be advantage of full fairing. My assumption is that with F.I,aerodynamic body it'll be equivalent to 200 Duke and in highway reduction in cross wind effect. Can't wait to put my hand on SS. I wonder why is it taking forever to launch?

          Guys,
Today i was riding on some good roads with some of my duke pals. My speedo indicated 143 downhill( I weigh 96 kgs). These duke boys say its impossible for ns to touch such speeds. Is it some speedo error ?

I have reached 147 in speedo and at downhil, I hav seen a video in youtube of an NS touching 151kmph. so 143 is definitely achievable. That said, ever speedo has error so thats not the true speed. Actual speed will be defntly lower.

Thanx man, is there any way to calculate the actual speed?

Guys an amazing happening today with my baby (my bike 200NS)
actually i used to get a decent mileage of 40-42 with pillion both in city ride as well as highway rides
and if i ride solo i have once derived about 44kmpl
but today something nice happened............ i filled in petrol for 100 rs. in nearby petrol bunk and went on a ride which i did on mount road (from central to porur) finally i observered the reading and got swept off my feet
like when my bike got reserved it was 7160 and when i it got reserved after that ride it was 7226
                so simply 7226-7160=66
so for 100 rs. i got 66 kms so roughly i got 50 kmpl mileage !
really from the day i have started riding this bike i have seen that this machine that i own has been giving the better mileage than other NS's i have met with or have heard abt !
CHEERS TO MY BIKE ! HAPPY !

                dude it is true
not even for a downhill but for a straight plain road the ns can go further more than 143
heard a ns has gone 157 but dont know if it is true
                i have done 141kmph max.

trust me the duke boys are jelly of your top speed, next time tell them on an average non windy day the 200NS touches a speedo indicated 150 km/h.
Use a GPS app to calculate your top speed with least error.
Just few days back I did a 138 km/h and on GPS it showed 124 km/h

Not so great day for me here....

U see it rained abit here in delhi and i was out for a ride with my friend.
While he was riding pretty confidently on his ceat's (dunno which ones) i was being really cautious with my euroslips....
but sometimes there are situations where we to use panic braking, and here in India we find these situations in truckloads!!
Here in my scenario i was riding behind a rickshaw when a guy on a bicycle suddenly decides to cross the road, rickshaw brakes infront of me to avoid hitting the bicycle but eases of his brakes as soon the bicycle clears the path ahead.
But things were not that great for me in the back, cuz as soon as i braked.....the front locks up.....rear also locks up.....and the nightmare doesnt end here because the rear also manages to lose its line by a margin enough to scare the living daylights out of me!!! (it was nearly half way through the handle turn)

But by gods grace the rickshaw ahead eases of the brake and im able to that as well...
As soon as i do that front regains traction(if something like that exists for euroslips), rear follows suit and regains its line after a wiggle.
I pull over to the left thanking god and cursing the tyres....also pledging that i wud never be riding in rains again....ever!!!

Be careful of your new ride man. Its better to play safe whenever possible. i am glad that nothin happened. Always be prepared for things not goin your way. Cause that way at-least you can save yourself from worse to bad. Good you were not too fast. And i completely agree with you. The euro slips tires give up way too early when its wet.

I've searched for dual horn relay wiring harness on my area but no luck so still i'm only using just a good quality wire harness and so far it's been almost 8 months, not a problem and my battery warrany is still on. If possible get relay wiring harness for dual horn. But i wonder if NS has relay already attached.

Pls use a appropriate relay whatever aftermarket horn you choose (single or double). Any auto-electrician or mechanic who installs additional horns will be familiar with it. It hardly costs 50rs and available at most spares shops & is a safe guard for your bike electricals. Even if the aftermarket horn you use is same rating (do you know what is the oem horn rating ?)as oem horn it doesn't matter, relay will just be extra layer of protection. If you want you can install an additional switch too, so that you can switch between the oem and aftermarket (a lot of ppl do this too.). Also ensure you use good quality wires (i have normally bought a meter of good quality wire from the electrical shop)

If someone recommends you use without relay, pls go ahead if that makes sense to you..

                            Some info on relays:
                            RELAY BASICS

If you can get the 4 point relay shown in black in the above link, well and good.. otherwise most spares shop sell the second type shown which is also ok.

If you're putting dual horns you must use a relay.. Otherwise if you're changing to a single horn no need of a relay..
Better if you find a single horn which you like.. Because then you don't have to worry about finding a place to put the thing.. Dual horns are definitely better, but tricky to find a safe place for it..
