Do the first servicing at around 450 to 500 kms . As far as I know the manual is hidden under the rear seat. Thats where it was of mine..

First service is 500-750kms or 30-45 days, whichever comes earlier.

The showroom should have given you the owner's manual the day you took delivery of the bike itself. It has nothing to do with getting your RC book.

I had asked them about the manual but they said that you would receive the manual with your RC.
              Anyway thanks for the info.

Got the first fee service done at 490 kms.

Very disappointed with Khivraj Bajaj, Indira Nagar, B'lore ASC for the following reasons:

                1. They asked me to collect the bike at 6pm and I reached at 5.45 but by then the manager & supervisors had left. Only few young mechanics were there. No one was there to explain to me as to why all was done, what I need to be careful about & what not to do till next service.

                2. For payment, they would only accept cash. How on earth, is a customer expected to know that?

                3. I had paid for Teflon coating as well. Not only that, they did not apply Teflon coating, they did not even wash the vehicle. The explanation was that they had too many vehicles and that they could not accommodate mine. However, up on questioning their irresponsible act, the mech who was present asked me to bring the vehicle again next week for Teflon work

                4. I had asked them to lower the gear lever a bit as the toe position is higher than the ankle and that is very inconvenient for me. The same was the case with rear brake pedal too, but they lowered it a bit as requested

                5. The brakes feel loose and not tight like before. After the service, it doesn't stop like before. As a result, the stopping distance has increased :-(

                6. Without asking me, they included a ~145/- worth 3M fuel additive to the bill. The lady at the billing counter handed over a tiny bottle and asked me to give it to the mechs. I did as she instructed. However, I am not sure if that mech filled it in the tank or not. I know, I should have paid attention, but I was so pissed off that I was looking for any senior official to scream at & seek an explanation.

I spotted an unhappy D390 customer too. He too had similar issues - his complaints were not addressed, it seems.

Thinking of giving the bike to Hoodi circle Khivraj for next service.

                  Location?

I took delivery of my bike a month ago in B'lore & I got the manual along with the bike. They had stamped the battery warranty and first 3 free service pages as well before handing over the manual to me.

And if I wanna top up the coolant I just open the nozzle and pour in the required amount right ? Do u need to mix the coolant with other things ? Or just top it up ? At what duration of kms do we need to flush the entire coolant ?
Because the svc charges as much as a new coolant bottle for just a small topup so I am planning to do it myself.

The stock coolant is castrol radicool.. coolant is topped up through reserviour cap but not through radiator cap and topping up coolant is quite a hectic job as it requires opening the tank but not what cant be done by self .. no you dont have to mix up the coolant with anything its just plug and play type of !! No need of diluting or anything .. motul motocool can also be used but is costlier may be better as well.. flushing is required after 20000 kms or after 2 years just to be on the safer side..

From my experience with the Khivraj service centers, the one at Kasturba road is the best among them. Never been to the Hoodi Circle Khivraj.

But if you want a service that really listens to you, you can try AutoService at Banshankari. That's where I get my servicing done.

Reservioir cap is visible once you open the tank cover after opening your front seats.. refilling should be done from there .. if you are confused turn pg no. 28 of owners manual and you will be clear.. ps. Regarding castrol radicool if it is to be diluted or not , it will be clearly written on the bottle.. I didnt know that it had to be diluted but I asked one of my friends who owned r15 and he told that it had to be.. nonetheless it will be mentioned on the bottle check by yourself

If it is quoted on the label "ready to use " then diluting isnt required.. and if diluting is necessary it will be mentioned and the ratio as well.. if the coolant in reservoir is dead empty , it will take about 220 ml .. let for a moment consider we have to dilute the coolant in the ratio 1:3 ..then consider a variable "x"
                              So, x+3x = 220 ml
                              Hence x= 55ml
So you will need to mix 55 ml of pure water(preferably distilled) and 165 ml of coolant ..
