Have you used 7100 or 300v? You didn't find any difference?

I have used both 5100 and 7100. 7100 makes the engine much smoother and the difference become more evident at higher revs. Have been using it for 15k kms now

300V is obviously better than 7100, but for a bike like 200NS, we won't notice any significant improvement in performance. It would be ideal for 250+ cc bikes.

Maybe that was the reason he tried to fool around.

Here's my thoughts. 5100 is a very good oil and is more than sufficient for anyone's needs. Obviously 300V is better, but for normal everyday use it is totally overkill. I used 300V is a CBR250R and found that I derived no additional benefit from as regards normal everyday use. On the other hand, whenever I used to go out on long rides then only would I see the benefit of the oil. The gears actually became smoother as the the kilometers wore on, much better than when it was running on the 5100, which itself is no mudder's milk. Anything other than a long ride and you couldn't tell the difference.

So unless one is going on long tours or ripping one's bike constantly, I would say stay with 5100. If one is really inclined to to fully synthetic, then 7100. 300V really only makes sense for track use, and it has also been formulated as such only.

I had a P220 for three years, from the day I bought it in 2009 till the day it was stolen in 2012.

It proved to be a pretty reliable. I had absolutely no problems with it during that period and it proved to be totally reliable. Of course apart from two small niggles concerning the starter coil/ECU and a busted coil, both of which were replaced under warranty.

Have had the NS for less than a month, so am in no position to speak about its reliability. As a product, I can say that the 200 NS is a notch above the P220 in every area except one, the headlight. But not many Indian bikes can hold a candle to the P220's headlight, pun intended.

Also, I used a CBR250R for two years prior to this 200 NS.

13000 Kms done, 3000 Kms done on current Motul 5100... need to get my bike serviced now. I'm searching for Motul 7100 but I can't find it anywhere in 20w50. 300V is available at some places.. so damn pricey... Rs 920 for Ltr. At 13k Kms does my bike really need 7100/300V or can I still keep using Motul 5100 for a while ? I ride really hard.

Can anybody tell me if other than engine oil, some other spare part like oil filter and all is also required...?
Have asked dealer to keep two bottles for me. but around 950 a liter its a total ripoff.
Any pointers in bangalore on where I can find this engine Oil will be appreciated greatly.

Also a big thanks to all you guys coz, for the first time ever tried chain oiling myself this weekend. My earlier skeptism of HOW IMPORTANT CAN IT BE has gone wrong.
All the noise vanished and there is a new spring in the pickup of the bike.
I used Motul chain lube, and ill probably start oiling after 400-500 km range now onwards.
Oil filter 74 rupees . Oring for 5 to 7 rupees . And mrp(maximum! !) on motul 7100 20w50 is 805 rupees . Please buy 20w50 they try to give you 7100 20w40 at first . Buy 2 bottles of 1 litre each . My engine with new filter took 1.275 litre of oil.
Ps: this is India , ek ne overcharge kiya toh koi dusra saste me dega :P

Dear, only the person who has used both the bikes for very long time can tell about the difference between reliabiity. And there should not be any mention of SUPPORTING one or the other. And as far as I know, very few here has put any biased view in regards of reliability. Pls dont say such things about the majority, its my humble request. Before buying my bike I had consulted the owners and they had honestly pointed out the pro and cons of both the bikes.

                                What does ownership transfer mean??

Guess: the actual transfer of bike?

Insurance nd rc transfer - i get the insurance paper and rc card ok

But is there any legal paper involved in the transfer.

I have read that one has to get a NOC signed by the previous owner , is it a legal paper or just a printout or hand written noc where i just have to get his signatures.
