Guess: the actual transfer of bike?

Insurance nd rc transfer - i get the insurance paper and rc card ok

But is there any legal paper involved in the transfer.

I have read that one has to get a NOC signed by the previous owner , is it a legal paper or just a printout or hand written noc where i just have to get his signatures.

Ownership transfer comprises of both the transfer of ownership in the RC, as well as the Insurance. Apart from this, based on the comfort level (in some cases, even legal requirements), it may be essential to also get the following done:

            1. The buyer gets a 'Sale Receipt' from the seller (for the amount involved in the transaction, with the complete details of the bike mentioned: Engine / Frame numbers, date of sale, amount, etc. with the signature over a revenue stamp) and
            2. The seller gets a 'Delivery Note' from the buyer (for taking delivery of the vehicle from the seller, with the buyer signing duly on the particulars of the vehicle as mentioned in point 1).

I followed this, during both the occasions, when I sold the 135LS & picked the 200 NS. Hope this helps.
            Live life, a quarter-mile at a time!

Dear, only the person who has used both the bikes for very long time can tell about the difference between reliabiity. And there should not be any mention of SUPPORTING one or the other. And as far as I know, very few here has put any biased view in regards of reliability. Pls dont say such things about the majority, its my humble request. Before buying my bike I had consulted the owners and they had honestly pointed out the pro and cons of both the bikes.

Well.... the only bike after HHcbz I can rely now is ns...in terms of loooong tours n zip zap in town as well... I rode cbz more than 1.7 lacs... nd then for 2 years my yammie 135... I eagerly wated for a liquid cooled...higher displacement. .. I m happy n I dont regret my decition... and above all ... my bike got stolen n found... which even more made me love my ns now...

As of now, I would say the 220 is more reliable as a long term product as it has a proven track record. Granted the fact that the ns is better than the 220 in almost all aspects as it is a completely different and modern bike. But since it is a new platform it has its flaws. Ranging from radiator issues to connecting rod problems.

In time, probably within a year or two, bajaj will take care of them and ns would become a proper reliable platform, as it happened with the classic pulsar and dtsi. As of now, I would say that the 220 is more reliable as a daily commuter/occaisonal tourer with good power.

If you want a great, modern and prrformance oriented product with some niggles, the 200ns is always there.

Radiator fan not switching on, connecting rod developing play, camshaft bearings falling out...
These are issues faced by ns and duke owners rather frequently in part of the country. I am just stating what i know to be facts, gathered from service stations and bike owners. Believe it, dont believe it, its your choice.

The thing is, all new platforms of vehicles have issues. They are rectfied through passage of time. There is nothing wrong with it.

Thanks for confirming that u have not faced either of 2... wish u best of luck for future as well mate. ...

Now.... leme state the reason of me asking that ques is because collant spill during high speed is only due to over filling or as we call it excessive top up....

My cousin is head mech in bagga link serv station... he has serviced more than 500 ns plus dukes in the span of close to 2 years now...

What he says is the ns is more reliable coz its carburetted n SOHC . though DOHC makes high speed cruising more fun but ns is one of those bikes on which SOHC tops .... and extremely well incorporated with the valve timing.... till date he has opened 12 heads n 8 engines only and that too because of engine oil nt changes in time or got over

                      Thnx

I'm sorry to quote this as you're a senior member and a vastly experienced biker. But you say this while you don't actually own and ride a 200NS everyday. How could simply assume that majority of NS owners all over India are facing issues mentioned above... based on what you've heard from a handful of NS Duke owners, and service stations.
What you say about refinement of a new product is correct though. honestly 200NS has already been tweaked to an extent where we can confidentiality say it's nearly a flawless machine.. apart from vibrations that all Pulsars have. With time it will see more improvements.
I think it's the opposite when you compare 220 and 200NS. From what I've seen personally, 220 needs more regular maintenance and may put a hole in your pocket if a single engine components goes kaput. 200NS may last thousands of Kms without asking for a single penny of maintenance.. much longer than 220 would especially when ridden harshly. It's overall build is more durable... it needs to be as the bike is all about it's higher rev range.
My bike is from Oct 2012 batch and at 13000 Kms I've done so much wrong to my NS... but it hasn't complained one bit. It out accelerates 220s R15s cleanly even if they take off like 1 or 2 seconds before me.
ironically 220 used to be my dream bike.

Experiencing some swaying issues on the bike. It's not wind related, but tyre related I believe. Happened with my Eurogrip and happening with michelin as well. The tyres seem to sway the bike with the undulations on the road. It's not cross winds related, experiencing at slow as well as fast speed. Anybody got any clue what it may be? I thought its tyre pressure related, but I've tried tyre pressures that company recommends as well as higher tyre pressure, but same response from the tyres. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you see the starting pages of this forum it was mostly about bike swaying to the left . It's a common issue with all pulsars. I didn't face it though.
