Pulsar doesn't get heated up. I am not aware of the problem in DUKE so can't comment on it.

Yesterday was stuck on the Eastern Express Highway due the the Mantralaya fire (Mumbaites would know). There was a lot of idling and 1st gear riding.

When I reached home I did noticed that the engine was quite heated up.

I had a Ninja 250 that used to heat up too in a situation like that. In crowded conditions, such liquid cooled bikes have a tendency to heat up significantly and use some coolant in the process. Expected behaviour.

@Rocketjack: Did you feel the engine heat while riding?

Thats ok for the engine being heated due to lot of 1st gear riding. But the question is did you feel the heat while riding at such low speed???
BTW, @rocketjack, still didnt get to see any more pictures of your RED-BEAST!!! Please do post some..

@MG- I read somewhere that you said about the coolant leak if the air is not properly bleed out. Can you clarify more on this. also please describe the process of doing it.

I use POWER fuel from HP. At signals i do not switch off my engine. I ride the bike in city only and traffic was medium in these 48.30kms.

The engine set by the dealer is high currently and i guess after my first service we all should get a better picture of mileage.

@ JK : As you are corner maniac you must try this bike as it's awesome at corners. For hard cornering you need to change the tyres to some soft component ones.
Hmm.. that is nice figure under RUN-IN. Thanks for the mileage sharing
And ya... i really love cornering. . . . thinking of getting new rubbers after purchase... lemme check stock tyres

Yes, I have been meaning to do that for a long time. But it gets dark by the time I return from office and too busy on the weekends. Will do that one of these days.

                    • Carburettor or Fuel Injector

I was going through the website of Pulsar 200 NS and it says the fuel system is "Carburettor" and Ignition system "Independent spark control through ECU"

Does the P200NS has Carburettor or Fuel Injector ?

It has a carburettor yet the 3 spark plugs are independently controlled by the ECU.

In case you're thinking only FI bikes have an ECU that's not the case.

                          Cheers.
