While TD NS i din't find it aggressive?? where did that 23.5bhp went?? And what happen to 200cc??

later i rode P220 TD bike and it was much aggressive then NS200.

Now i am thinking why P220 had good pick up and NS 200 din't ??
    Or bike had a problem!!
Ride a Ninja 250R and you'll get the same feeling of "Where did that 33 bhp go?? and what happened to the 250cc twin cylinders??

One needs to understand how these bikes are tuned. For most Indians the word "Pick up" means the intitial jerk/jump that the bike makes when twisting the throttle. Bikes like the Ninja 250R, R15 and the Pulsar 200NS develops its Peak Power and Peak Torque at a higher rpm, their Power and Torque is distributed from "low-mid-high" i.e entire rpm range.

The correct word here should be "acceleration".

The Pulsar 220 has great acceleration till around 6000 rpm.. but after that the acceleration tapers.. on bikes like the R15, Ninja 250R and Pulsar 200NS the acceleration will go on till the rpms enter the redline without any tapering of power and torque.

Ride both the P220 and the P200NS till 7000 rpm AND BEYOND to understand where those 23.5 bhp go.

@rocketjack : nice clicks bro. So howz the bike going post first service. I have taken next saturdays appointment and my odo is around 400kms now. You opted for dtsi engine oil or some other engine oil? Is there any change in pick up post service?

                    • Booked My 200ns at the Kalyani Bajaj Showroom in Bangalore. They Don't know the ex-showroom price, All they say is it would be around 1 lakh. And when asked about the delivery date, they give a vague reply saying would be by mid August probably.. Sad..

I booked it from popular bajaj kacheripadi.

Actually pure black is not that good as old pulsars IMO. But other colors are good. I like red and yellow but I'll finalize only after I see them in flesh.

Lol Payeng !! great details on acceleration and pickup matter!!

What do you think?? I missed that rpms ???

Nope ?? it was hell higher RPM,riding a R15 and decades of riding exp makes that understand very well.

As in said where that 23.5bhp went ?? is a true question ??

Brother, it might be some issues with the TD bike, but how much difference is expected from that TD machines and other new 200NS??

No at all NS was good!! P220 don't stand near to it. But still we hope that 23.5bhp with a 200c will make a head turn difference!!

NS200 gives great mileage too so it may be designed in that ways ???

Bike was awesome on all points, but i thought it has to be different than other bikes!!!

Any one who wants to buy a NS with out any waiting period then contact Kanchan Bajaj, Ulhashnagar and Dombivili. But do check the chassis numbers

OK lets continue with serious Top Speed and some long trips reports on NS

I don't understand your contradicting statements. What are you trying to say ?

Just let it go mate, we already have MG's thoughts on the bike after riding it for more than 10k kms in pretty much every condition you can find and having owned a P220 for about 5 years, so why argue about it mate?
Do not click it unless you have an open mind...

Anything more than 450 on the odo and you should be good for the first service. Also. a little wrench icon will pop-up on your display post 450 KM. I opted for the dtsi oil only. The pick-up is the same but the over all smoothness has increased.
