Does 200 NS leak like its KTM brother? Can owners confirm. Strangely, I have seen lot of Dukes with leaky heads, but I am yet to see one in NS.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Nope no problem. And get the main stand fixed just visit the svc before the first service or on the first service get it done it costs 600 including labour maximumOriginally posted by elemeNt_rush View PostNothing like this to get your confidence up
Ill surely be careful during the run in period. As you didnt wait for the whole 2k kms did you face any problems which you think might be related to that? Being a tad bit over cautious here :P

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I read through the Duke 200 forum.. It seems since 2013 April ktm has lowered their quality checks . Everyone is getting shitty bikes with some or the other problems. Check the thread to see.. and nope no mfd defect for 200ns maybe 1 in 500Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostDoes 200 NS leak like its KTM brother? Can owners confirm. Yes it leaks. Have got it repaired 2 times and gasket replaced 2 time as well. Mine is from 2012 batch.Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostDoes 200 NS leak like its KTM brother? Can owners confirm. Strangely, I have seen lot of Dukes with leaky heads, but I am yet to see one in NS.
I have seen your query in Duke threads as well. NS is no different in this dept.sigpic

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Anyone from Delhi NCR looking to buy Mustard Yellow 200NS ? I just spotted one parked in showroom at Suman Bajaj Noida sector - 2. Probably one of the last Mustard yellow remaining in Delhi NCR circle. Go for it.
One faulty 200NS cannot speak for majority of 200NS' out there. I've followed this ownership thread for a long time, and I hardly ever spotted people reporting leaky head in their bike. Almost none. Instead, there was a time when coolant leakage issues were often reported. Smoke coming out of engine etc (which could've been anything)Originally posted by AashishS View PostYes it leaks. I remember I was there at this KTM Orange Day in Delhi IGI airport last year and one of the KTM Duke actually starting pissing oil on the road while parked.. it's owner had only done a silly burnout earlier.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
my NS got its engine head right side leaking oil some days back at 13k kms odo. But not that much. Only minor black oil+dust sludge after a trip of 100 kms I can see near the head and once I wiped it, it is not leaking again until now. Will get it checked in next service.Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostDoes 200 NS leak like its KTM brother? Can owners confirm. Yes only few people have spoken here but we must remember that there are thosands of people out there who are non xbhpians and do not report such issues online.
I have personally seen many ns leaking - at service centre, at office parking lots and other places as well.
There are people out there who never even noticed the leaks unless i pointed it out to them.
I am not here to argue or prove my point here. Just spoke out of experience.sigpic

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
That way it's not called strictly running-in the engine, it's how to lug your engine and give urself headaches.Originally posted by shrey1992 View PostFirst of all congrats for your decision of choosing the beast. I also received the NS a couple of days back.
For your height and weight i would suggest you to take a couple of test rides and see if you can handle the weight.
About the tires, i would say from my recent experience that the tyres arent bad. Yesterday there was a heavy downpour in here when I was riding, and i didnt felt anywhere that my tires are slipping or any thing. So tires are good.
Yes you should strictly follow the speed limit. Keep it below 42 till 1000 kms and below 50 till 2000 kms.
Dont worry about the engine oil so much. You have just booked the bike. Ride the bike for atleast 2000 kms, then think about changing the engine oil.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Within 2 days of taking delivery, I had to go back to the service center due to coolant & oil leak. The service center guy tightened screws at the head & all joints. The coolant leak has stopped but engine oil has minor leak. The joints are covered with thin layer of oil & dust. Giving bike for the first service tomorrow. Hoping to get every issue fixed.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Somebody said leaky head...i have one ...means my NS...
Cylinder head cover and stator plate cover gasket area and right side spark plug leaks oil. Its not heavy leakage but its there.
And amount of leakage is directly proportional to amount of ripping u do.
Ride it sanely at 80-90 kmph and no leakin...start ripping at 115-120 kmph and it starts leaking.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Experienced a weird thing today.
After 20 days, went to get air in my tyres.
Front one was down to 16psi from 27 psi
BUT SURPRISINGLY, ,!!
Rear was 32PSI means NOT A PSI LOSS.
Note that machine which filled earlier and now is same and correct.
I wonder why..??
Can anyone tell..?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Had recorded this a while back with a chinese jugaad camera. Had tested my 0-100 acceleration.
Can somebody confirm my timings. Appears to me that it takes me just 8 to 8.5 seconds to hit 100 km/h. 1st run abit difficult to see speedo, 2nd run clearer but something came in front and I had to slow down at 95 km/h.Last edited by broken87; 04-04-2014, 01:04 AM.
