      try this... on page 1539

Or if the tail end of the bulb is visible from the hole, try using nose pliers to grab it and pull it out..

thanks for the help, i would try it but how to open the headlight? there is no DIY available.. i have one more query, can the bike run till last point on fuel guage without switching to reserve? i am asking coz i've never tried, i used to fill petrol when only two points left.

          Then go to SVC..
And the fuel gauge, dont believe its lies..
My fuel guage will be at the last bar when it goes to reserve. After which i STILL have more than 2 litres of fuel in it.. If you have a small torch, flash it inside, you can easily see inside the tank as it is flat bottomed..

in the pic the red bulb plastic can be seen inside.
I had the problem. And got a easy solution. Take a toothpick or two. Get an M seal from any hardware store. Now stick the m seal to the tip of the toothpick. Take a little amount of M seal else it would get stuck in the housing. Now slowly insert the the tooth into the housing and stick it to the bulb. And pull it out. Hope it helps.

                  Hi guys,

My friend recently got his first service done on his 200 NS. Post that, he is having an issue with the idling... after riding the bike for say 15 - 20 KMs, the engine idle sometimes hits 3000 rpm ..
                  Yesterday he saw 2500 rpm..

Went to ASS, sai service bvi, and told the mechanic who had serviced it about the issue. He claimed that its perfectly normal and that when the bike heats up, the idle RPM will shoot up to 2.5-3k rpm. also said that almost ALL 200 NS have their idle rpm going to these levels when the bike heats up.

Dissatisfied with his reply I spoke to the manager and he too gave me the same stuff ! Said dont worry, its fine and normal. Attributed the hike in idle rpm post "heating up" to the "4 valves" ..
I was still unconvinced, so he asked he mech to recheck the CO settings and re tune the carb ...

since we were in a hurry to get back home, couldnt test if the rpm was shooting up again ....

Thought of posting it here. Has anyone else faced such an issue ? and if yes how to fix it ?

Bajajs chart in the SVC stated 1400 +/- 50 for the 200NS. I think a variation of 100 to 200 rpm is still ok, but def not 1000 RPM !

C'mon man, ATLEAST USE SEARCH BUTTON, same problem related to carb has been posted, discussed and resolved HUNDREDS OF TIME.
As i said earlier, if ns was fuel injected, number of posts on this thread would've been 1/3rd.

Oh well that's wrong carb setting that's it. Way too rich or way too high idle rpm setting. Tell your friend to visit a good mechanic outside the service center and ask him to open and read either of the slave spark plugs. If the burn is perfect then the idle rpm setting is too high (the rpm stays at 1.5k during cold which seems normal and shoots up to 3k after warming up) and if the burn shows a rich burn, then the afr screw needs fiddling with.

VERY IMPORTANT: the ucd 33 carb on our NS is different from the other pulsars that the non-service-center mechanics are familiar with. Its important to notify them that CLOCKWISE rotation of the afr screw makes it LEAN and ANTICLOCKWISE makes it RICH. Its the opposite on other pulsars.

Dont worry about that man, youll still have around 2.5 litres of fuel left when you hit reserve.. you can easily go another 70-80kms with that!!

Theres another way. Remove the four bolts holding the entire headlamp unit, hold the unit facing upwards, do the harlem shake and watch the led pop out from the led socket hole. Coincidentally this happened to me today. Beats putting so much concentration into it. Btw im back to the trouble free yellow stock pilots. I think it looks quite nice.
                          Cheers!

Few days ago Visited kurla Bike/car Market for a part search of scooty pep didn't find it but my eyes were Shinning. the seller has pulsar 400ss tail light and exhaust too. he was happy to let me take pictures. i asked him how did he get hold of this, he told he has contacts and this parts have come from factory(I am not sure the part were looking a bit used. These might be of the On-test bikes).Click image for larger version

Clockwise = turning it in .. i.e. on completely turning it clockwise it seats, right ?
Anticlockwise = turning it out, i.e. you are moving towards removing the screw ?
If that's the case, then most 4 stroke bikes including pulsars, clockwise has always been leaner and anticlockwise richer.

Did you mean the other way around ? Sorry i've never checked out a p200ns carb. Can you pls post a pic of the carb and point out which is the 'afr' screw you are talking about.
