That is applicable for FI bikes not carb bike.

NS idles around 1000-1100 on cold start and settles around 1500-1800 when warmed up.

Could be, as it was very early and NS wasn't common at that time. And the guy didn't even know how to adjust the time and told me he would fix the button (as it was harder) in first service. What a mess . I later checked online and it was as simple as eating banana. This is the state of the Bajaj SVC today (well it was 15 months back anyway).

Don't worry brother. NS manual is about 63 pages
I have a pdf version of it (just in case you need it). The manual indicates Choke lever, however when I bought the bike (without registration) they didn't provide manual. I think almost the manual covers.

Very clearly it mentions here that the chain is not to be cut for installation then why is it that the ASS guys do that ? Is it safe ?

the chain on my ride is uncut. they may cut it for ease of work. else complete swing arm needs to be removed.

I had gotten the chain sprocket changed due to a mfg defect and my ASC guys did cut the chain and install a master link. Is it safe ?

we can not term it unsafe, as previously all bikes had this kind of mechanism. and very very very few locks broke and caused problem. so don't worry about safety..
but its o ring chain containing lube into it. once they break it, lube goes away, hence life gets reduced.
so just keep it well lubricated and enjoy the ride. next time, don't allow them to break the chain, else don't pay.
