Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Glad they removed it. It did exist with Disco 125 too. You never know when the thing will Rev up.. Bloody crap. Typical Bajaj quality. Changed the unit twice and it blowed the hell out of mine many times while riding... Sometimes it never closes the choke and the engine continue to rev. Was that one main reason i sold it...Originally posted by vivek7593 View Post

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Anyone ?Originally posted by vvk1999 View PostDone with the valve settings.
Earlier, i bought a used ns200 for 57k ,13000km on odo & quite satisfied with it .
Now my questions are ,
The steering feels too heavy ,is it due to cone set or wide Tyre?
Vibrations at rider & pillion seats approximately at 5000 - 7000 rpm
How to minimize them ?
Seats are too hard , hurts a lot any modification s ?
wind blast at 80kmph above is too much , any solution? Large windshield ?
Sorry i am asking too much but i have only 2-3days for DIY after that my brother will take it .
Anyway these r the diy carried out

Lately, my bike starts @1500rpm but after a few kms idling rpm tend to shoot@ 2000 -3000rpm
Is there any problem with the accelerator cable or something else ?

Cold engine should start at about 1100 1200 ... And once hot should settle around 1400 1500

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Should be the other way round. Cold starts see RPM rise to 1800 RPM or so and later it settles between 1200 to 1400 RPM.Originally posted by GauravD View PostCold engine should start at about 1100 1200 ... And once hot should settle around 1400 1500Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
i dont know how much heavy it is so cant comment, just ride another NS and feel the difference, if any, we can discuss on it later.Originally posted by vvk1999 View Postbought a used ns200

5k to 7k is not the range of resonance. try other engine oil next time and check.
do some squat and harden your butts a bit. it will help lower back pain too. seats are just fine to me.
i have Yamaha RX 135 98 model. it is still with original seat till date which ppl find hard and i do long rides on it, specially when lots of off loading, pick up matters and top end does not.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
did you mean conversion kit consists of 2 holders + wiring harness + relay ?Originally posted by krixna View PostGet the 100/90W conversion kit for cars by ROOTS (You won't get one for a bike). Just cut off connections for one side and tape it up. The relay is built to handle 200W (2 headlights of car), which is an advantage. Any good auto-electrician or mechanic can go the wiring for you. It's 100% plug n play. No wire cutting or removing sleeves.
I'm using 100/90W for over a year now, no troubles. Bulb I'm using is Hella Rally 100/90.
does it has fuse?
thanks.Originally posted by krixna View PostThe more the color temperature, less the heat. Hella is 4300K. If Philips is more than that, you can expect less heat.
You don't have a problem as long as wind is cooling your headlight. Remember to turn it off in traffic signals which last more than a minute. The reflector in NS being of good quality doesn't get heated up because it reflects almost everything falling on it.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
This happens only in bikes with auto-choke for cold starts. If you have a higher rpm after starting and it comes down when the engine gets warm, you have auto-choke. My model of NS doesn't have this system, so it starts at around 1000 and later rises to around 1500. Is your bike NS or AS? Which model month/year?Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostShould be the other way round. Cold starts see RPM rise to 1800 RPM or so and later it settles between 1200 to 1400 RPM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
may be due to change in sitting position you are feeling so, precise comparison would be NS to NS. if you strongly feel that its heavy or hard/jammed, just get coneset checked.Originally posted by vvk1999 View PostI had p220 earlier , so compared to it the steering is heavy .

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
The kit has wiring harness and ceramic holders for two headlights. Be sure to pick the kit for H4 holder...oops forgot to say that. I bought the kit for Maruti 800.Originally posted by powerShift View Postdid you mean conversion kit consists of 2 holders + wiring harness + relay ?
does it has fuse?
.
You have fuses for high and low beams in the wiring. Relay comes in a separate box and it's plug-in, no screwing wires on to it. And, it is wiring conversion kit and relay, sold separately. You just buy the wiring kit, relay and 100/90W bulb. Nothing else needed.Last edited by krixna; 03-17-2016, 02:16 AM.

Must be issue with your coneset mate.Originally posted by vvk1999 View PostI had p220 earlier , so compared to it the steering is heavy .
Steering of P220 is heavier than AS200 is heavier than 200NSIt's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!
