Glad they turned off that feature. As if pain in the ass is not enough, pain in the eyes too! You wouldn't want a bright yellow light staring at your face in the night!!Originally posted by xplod566 View PostYes you are right.on the newer models they removed it.the console is the only way

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Well, got something to say here. When I have my wife at the back (she sits with legs on both sides or I don't take her!), I can feel a pull on my left hand. If I loosen my hand a bit, there it goes to the left! But this does not happen when I'm riding alone. Now does that have something to do with how we sit on the bike? I have seen people not sitting exactly at the centre...Originally posted by GauravD View Post
The service guys dont know worth jack shit. A bike is built to auto stabilise itself due to its mass centralization not run to one side

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
do you mean single lamp has 40w or its pair?Originally posted by GauravD View PostAbout the 100/90 I personally would not recommend it purely due to the heat it generates and the load it would put on the battery unless you change the wiring etc. Rather along with your stock lighting go in for aux lighting of about 40W LEDs connected by a custom harness. I run 40W LEDs on mine and the combined load impact is only 0.4 volts whereas the 60/55 halogen has a load impact of over a volt. 14.4 V when lights are off to 13.2 - 4 when lights are on.
can you share the pic of auxiliary light and its setup?
today i went to check LED auxiliary lamps. max i could find is 18w, ie 6 nos 3w bulbs in a single lamp. but then mechanic said it can only be installed on guard and not near headlight, so i am left with only option to install pair of lamps consuming 10w each near headlight.
that too, no auxiliary lamp is waterproof.
i need spot focus which can focus little ahead of high beam throw, and waterproof too.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Bro just checked the lamps... They are 18w spot focus, not flood, single LED each. I have them installed on the crash bar and not next to the headlight. The one I have has been tested by myself in torrential rains which hit me during my near cross country run. Im talking about those transformer looking spot lamp. Pic in next post since i am on the phoneOriginally posted by powerShift View Postdo you mean single lamp has 40w or its pair?

Btw to all those waiting for the CS400 -
Used sources and got the launch date for the CS. The scheduled launch is in August 2016. Kinda ridiculous that Bajaj customer service had no information on this and had to request some people to get this info from the Bajaj seniors.

The replaced it with a new one.
A digital blinking fuel symbol on the console..when ever you are about to hit reserve.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yes they did use diesel,Originally posted by krixna View PostLocal water-service stations use diesel, bro. They use diesel under the engine, and on tyres. Especially, they rub the tyres with diesel and soap to make it black and look like new. While this rarely gets into drum brakes, disc brake pads are open and absorb it. You'll have to live with brakes without bite for a couple of days.
Next time you give it, say "NO Diesel !!"
Regret allowing them to use diesel.
I heard of this disk cleaner spray, this could restore the bite to 100% within minutes.
Should cost 100 rs for 250 ml.
Should check local shops .

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Totally agree about how people ride.Originally posted by GauravD View PostOn the contrary i feel that it is a rule which should be implemented in all of country without any exceptions. Nothing is shitty about it if we look at it from a perspective that its meant for pillion safety. The pillion rider is not immortal otherwise why would we buy gear for the pillion safety when we take our steeds out to the open highways on rides etc.
IMO 100 bucks is way too less a penalty for endangering someones life. And with the way that some riders/drivers try to own the streets its more of a cardinal sin if the pillion does not wear atleast a helmet.
But I said it's a shit rule because
1. It got implemented because bbmp is not able to maintain roads, close man holes, and fill king size pot holes. They blame the riders when a open manhole in the middle of the road causes a accident at 2am.
An escape goat for BBMP.
2. The way it is implemented.
Not applied to a lot of people (u know what I mean) and to police themselves, but strictly applied to us non Karnataka people.
If the rule would have been established to encourage safety, I would have readily agreed it.
But once if someone has to pay fine and be charged rash driving for trying to avoid a pothole in mid street you could understand me better.I was

It was a nifty feature though for long drivesOriginally posted by krixna View PostGlad they turned off that feature. As if pain in the ass is not enough, pain in the eyes too! You wouldn't want a bright yellow light staring at your face in the night!!
The yellow light would catch your attention quickly rather than a small blinking symbol on console..
Only for that reason I am hesitant on getting new console..
So far got no older consoles for sale in svc or olx :banghead:

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I totally agree with you. The blinking symbol often goes un noticed by me. And the fuel indicator is grossly inaccurate. It starts blinking even if thr tank is 2L above reserve. I would have preferred bajaj continuing with the yellow light indicator.Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostIt was a nifty feature though for long drives
