Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
On the contrary i feel that it is a rule which should be implemented in all of country without any exceptions. Nothing is shitty about it if we look at it from a perspective that its meant for pillion safety. The pillion rider is not immortal otherwise why would we buy gear for the pillion safety when we take our steeds out to the open highways on rides etc.Originally posted by nikzcool View PostThey already found a new source of income.

IMO 100 bucks is way too less a penalty for endangering someones life. And with the way that some riders/drivers try to own the streets its more of a cardinal sin if the pillion does not wear atleast a helmet.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
i am not against this rule. it is for our safety. but on other hand, fine should be collected from pillion instead of rider.
on my way to office, lots of ppl waiting for bus ask for lift. and its bit inconvenient to carry spare helmet on bike for such ppl.

Hey bro .. how are you and the hooligan doing ? My sole purpose of connecting this was to make sure that any mods that I do in terms of additions of electricals does not overload the battery. I have also heard that the battery is a trifle hard to source so we could also use it track if there are any charging issues from the magneto or the battery so that it could be rectified in time. Small investment I guess to not getting stranded all ova sudden with no battery.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostHey Gaurav.just wanted to know how would you fix it and what would be the primary need of it?
I had the voltmeter connected to the ignition connection so that it gets turned on only when the ignition key is on "ON" position.

When looking for performance of a bike I would, for my knowledge, like to know if how does a bike which has a higher Power to weight Ratio with a lower torque to weight ratio fare against one which has a lower power to torque ratio and a higher torque to weight ratio ?
Also what is meant by Specific output per liter ?

Bro.. would u mind shedding some light on the mechanics behind thisOriginally posted by RohIIT View PostApply both 25% of both brakes and ride for 50m, Brakes will be normal again.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
2 km/l I guess, not more. Because Eurogrips are hard even at 26 psi. Anyway losing 2-3 km/l is a lot more cheaper than paying the doctor for treating your back. What say?Originally posted by GauravD View Postkrixna - bhai does running at a lower that recommended psi have any impact on mileage. IMO it should. If yes, by approximately how much... Roughly ?

If brake pad absorbs water, driving slowly with brakes engaged heats it up, which vapourises the water and brake bike returns to normalOriginally posted by GauravD View PostBro.. would u mind shedding some light on the mechanics behind this

Mine is 22 and 27 rear. Hover around 38KMPL with 250 km testing range of highway and city.Originally posted by krixna View Post2 km/l I guess, not more. Because Eurogrips are hard even at 26 psi. Anyway losing 2-3 km/l is a lot more cheaper than paying the doctor for treating your back. What say?
But here are new mods I have done- Custom cushion on top of rider seat(XL Heavy duty foam and cut and shaved, costs 360 bucks). All potholes are at ease to bums. It will take a week to adjust the setup I believe
- Suspension is adjusted to soft
- Rubber Over grips on handlebar to avoid the jittering feel I get after 60 km non stop rides.
- Adjust the rod on rear brake to the least position where you can lock the wheel , even then I locked the wheels when I noticed a pothole in 3 feet distance but my weight did manage to avoid skid and it was transferred to spine. Experiencing for the first time.
- Removed all the stickers on tank and rear. I love the plain bash mustard yellow.
Pending: Visor to be added. Someone do post close up shots of AS200 photos mounted on NS200Mustard Yellow 2013 200NS - Suave Bloke in the town

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Agree to that however if brake pads are permeable and absorb water should that not be the case with all pads of this model, assuming different models use different models which dont think is the case. Query arose because we all wash our bikes regularly however I for one have never faced this issue.Originally posted by RohIIT View PostIf brake pad absorbs water, driving slowly with brakes engaged heats it up, which vapourises the water and brake bike returns to normal
Is it possible that the bleeder would have been lose and air went into the hose ?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Nope in no case bleeder nut can go loose by pressure washing, if it was loose, it would have come out during braking. As said , not all pads are affected by this, Also brake disc upon usage becomes little rough and develops minute rings which aid in channeling / avoid creation of water film over it. I have faced this issue sometimes when i wash my bike and rub disc pads with emery paper, after a km or so braking performance is back to normal.Originally posted by GauravD View PostAgree to that however if brake pads are permeable and absorb water should that not be the case with all pads of this model, assuming different models use different models which dont think is the case. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Local water-service stations use diesel, bro. They use diesel under the engine, and on tyres. Especially, they rub the tyres with diesel and soap to make it black and look like new. While this rarely gets into drum brakes, disc brake pads are open and absorb it. You'll have to live with brakes without bite for a couple of days.Originally posted by nikzcool View PostGuys my both disc are not functioning as they were. Had gone for a bike wash.

Next time you give it, say "NO Diesel !!"

Yes. MRF zapper. The reason behind low PSI on rear (esp) is to reduce rear wheel locking. I do always have a habit of hitting rear a bit with forceOriginally posted by vivek7593 View PostSshhhh

You got mrfs right??

That's one healthy piece of information bro. Thanks. But now that this has been established. Does it mean it's only applicable for those owners who were caught?. I heard it the same way. If it is for all who move in to KA, what will happen. What should I do now?, any idea?. I checked few days back with www.drivekool.com and these were the following that was told to meOriginally posted by nikzcool View PostJbM_guy
This is for you..
You can thank me later..
'Drive Without Borders' Wins Road-Taxation Battle Against Karnataka Govt., Now Drive A Non-K'taka Vehicle For A Year
1. Any vehicle entering B'glore should have an NOC + Police clearance certificate (Sometimes optional, but mandatory to get NOC from your current state itself) IF U PLAN TO RE-REGISTER YOUR NUMBER . IF YOU PLAN TO STAY <1yr, NOC IS NOT REQUIRED
2. If you plan to stay <1 year, no re-registration(number change) is required, but okay with road tax payment and RC book change of address
3. Once you enter B'glore you get 30 days to pay Karnataka road tax (meanwhile during 30 days you can show your entry slip or logistics bills in case police catches you
4. After paying road tax (by submitting your docs and filling form + 14% of the invoice quoted Ex-showroom amount), you have one more 30 days to roam with that receipt of paid tax
5. During that next 30 day time, you can show that receipt to police and they will let you go. Now before this 2nd 30 days complete, you will have to change your local address and get it entered into your RC book.
6. After these changes you get 10 more months to roam freely with your native registration...
7. Before 1 year completion from the date of entry, you must have changed your registration to Karnataka. Numbers can be same... but THIS IS MUST IF YOU PLAN TO STAY BEYOND 1 YEAR and for such cases NOC FROM YOUR NATIVE IS MANDATORY AT THIS TIME WITH B'glore RTO LOCATION SPECIFIED
ALL THESE ABOVE RULES SEEM TO BE ALMOST SAME IN MANY STATES
www.drivekool.com was very helpful and they have option to do it fully online except for roadtax payment that has to go through DD (same old).
Now after what @nikzcool has shared, I don't know where is the break in the above said process.
Hope this helps someone as well..... I'm in mid of transfer and not sure...
Update: Now non-Karnataka owners need not pay road tax and can roam freely if stay is less than 1 year. But I'm trying to catch some agents to make sure this is true... Will update
