Hi NakedWolfer . which color 200NS u got? I sold my CBR250 for the Pathetic service of HONDA A.S.S . considering a 200 NS .Midnight Black...other new colors dont entice me enough..also considering Zuma 250.How is the Bajaj A.S.S ? Had bad experience with HONDA , Royal Enfield , No prob with Yamaha and Vespa. What was the first service cost? what mods have u done on it? did u play around withe carb...air fuel mixture? any faults with the bike? How is it in wet conditions?

Hi sumedh11n . Dont worry maybe the SVC guys have set the mono shock to its lowest setting.....as in the pic ..compare both the mono shocks ....maybe he thought best way to stop the sound is to setup lowest position..the less it moves the less sound it will make...

It'll be same. I'm getting 35kmpl in city with 80 .The lowest i've got is 34 and the max 38.About quality i'm satisfied except for one part, paint job on the engine. Its peeling off not everywhere but on certain area and from that i'm sure bajaj didn't use primer coat. Except for that i'm happy with it.

Thanks!

Poor Paint job is fine, as I am not too bothered about looks.

35 is a bit low, as Bajaj had claimed mileage tuning over duke. Doesn't the duke also give the same?

Also, people have complained about overheating in duke. Does NS also have the same issue? After spending 1/1.5 Lakh, such problems would be really disappointing!

I hAve black colour 200NS. Here the bajaj service is good. 200NS is the best value for money Ride which came after P220 and 200NS got much better engine than pulsar 220. It's same engine used in Ktm Duke 200 with some altrations made by Bajaj which increases the milage , some of my friends claims that they got a milage around 50km/L. For me the first service cost was 550Rs.

Donno know about duke bro. For me 35 figure is fine as claimed by bajaj on city ride. I get around 35 kmpl on city on 80 plus speed. On highway others have claimed around 51 figure which looks awesome.About engine heating, its normal on every bike on a long ride thanks to a liqued cool engine which makes it more relaible.

550 for a free service sounds high. What's the cost of oil? My FZ costs this much for a paid service.

Throttle response doesn't count for a comparison coz there is no change. Also, the stock plug, when measured with a vernier caliper, was found to have a lesser diameter at the threads! So compression loss used to occur and for some god damn reason, oil deposit.Silly Bajaj service center spares. Iridium for the win!P.S NGK CR9EIX can also be used.
Did you change all three or certain plug only?

It's much lower for a 200cc high perfomance engine..
Then you should check the rate of free service of Ktm Duke it's around 2000Rs

Barkha Hi, they did not change the settings...
Now actually they replaced the entire mono shock under warranty but still the height and the riding feel is not the same as earlier when i purchased the new bike..
the supension is feeling softer than earlier...
i need a bit stiffer feel and increased height...
is there any way to do so?? because AFAIK there is some adjustment settings for which the suspension can be made stiff or soft...plz help!

For ko ong rides it's accepted. Will it remain fine for 30 minute commute to Office? Any engine gets hot, but the point is that the rider should not feel it. May be the position of legs n engine makes a difference.

Thanks... in which direction shud the adjuster be turned to increase the ride height and make suspension stiffer??
can a local mechanic be able to fix it.?

Just go to the SVC and tell them you need to stiffen up the suspension.. They'll do it. Itll take less than a minute.. [ it has to be turned from the right to left ]
