And the cv carb will not let the slide open more if the engine is on load to avoid excess load and avoids it from getting extra lean. The mixture normally becomes lean in any VV carb if you open the throttle too much on load but it wont happen in the CV carb But it wont adjust the afr by itself. It only controls the opening of the throttle according to vacuum.

Alright, do 1 test for me.
Put your bike on choke and adjust the screw. If its a fuel screw youll have to close it to increase speed, if its a air screw youll have to open it

Thats why Inever refer to the net for things like this. They're very mis informed. And now dont tell me the choke gives the engine a leaner mixture

When you increased your jet size, how much did you reduce your needle position by?

I never said pulling the choke leans the engine... Pulling the choke basically floods it with fuel and making it very reach... I would love to stand corrected with facts if i am wrong.. Its all about knowledge sharing... BTW just for an info... Every lot of NS coming from factory has everything different... The jet sizes are all different, there sre so many varieties of CDI in each bike and some even have a somewhat different carb... You cant try to match all the bikes

you mean 15100??? cause i dont think any NS has clocked that much...
If it is 15100, No, its not that early..Depends on braking style..
And there is no problem with the gap.. as long as the wheels move freely.. [Actually if you look closer there is a 0.5mm gap which is more than enough] But i see that they haven't used copper grease for the caliper.. next time you service your brakes ask them to apply it.. copper grease can take more heat and so doesnt evaporate that bad.. So it stays on longer [ in case you didn't know]

Then get the brake free play adjusted. The small piston thing near the brake pedal [behind the foot rest fin] has an adjustable rod. Just go to the service center and tell them the tyres arent free enough.. theyll adjust it..

There's no specific K&N for the NS per say.. But you can go for the universal ones.. But from what ive heard, its completely pointless.. You'll get more trouble than performance.. Carb has to be up jetted [ and still no ones found the perfect tune yet], the huge void from the lack of the air filter box will cause the filter to fall off a lot.. Its hectic.. You're Better off with the stock filter..

Guys, The NS was launched in June 2012 and it has completed 2 years now. Just wanted to know your opinion on the built quality. Being a bajaj bike, it was on this 2 year test. Being one of, actually the only contender for the best bike under 1 lakh, whats your opinion on the built quality. Any troubles?

People in office discuss with me about the best bike in one lakh, I tell them NS. I dont want to advice wrong. The price of the NS is close to Yamaha Fazer which I own and I had only changed the battery and chain set as of now(17K, 3.5 years) and its very comfortable and smooth performer. The reason for changing the battery was that my bike didnt came with kick start and was giving starting problems otherwise it would have lasted 4 years or so.

Apologies, didnt look at this thread from quite sometime now. You may provide your comments till I go through it.
