Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Did 129 before the road curved out at old mumbai pune highway. There was a pillion with me as well. I think this resulted in a bit of a drag.
Not much problem with going over the top other than cross wind playing havoc. The bike feels well planted and stable at high speeds also.

Never knew smooothness has anything to do with pick up.Originally posted by levintt View PostBetter go for 7100, 5100 makes ur bike too smooth, loss of pick up
And even if something like that exists....i wudnt mind trading a lil bit of power with smoothness.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I have done 135 kmph top speed only 2/3 times. Now speeds above 120 scares me. Its not the bike's fault, the bike feels well planted at top speeds also.Originally posted by deep007 View PostCan anyone post there experience regarding top speed
But the fear of a mishap prevents me.

Its better to stick 80-90 kph on highways, the stock rear tire has trouble stickin to the road even under moderate braking..Originally posted by shrey1992 View PostI have done 135 kmph top speed only 2/3 times. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
5100 is semi synthetic, 7100 is Fully. So ,yeah what you exp is valid theoretically but not a major issue .maybe a placebo effect for you ?Originally posted by levintt View PostBetter go for 7100, 5100 makes ur bike too smooth, loss of pick up
These oils (motul) can be used on NS, all works kickass with performANCE going up in Inc order .Originally posted by Gunjit Singh View PostThanks for the quick response bud.
Much appreciated. [emoji106]
1. Motul 3000.
2. Motul 3100 gold
3. 5100
4.7100
5.300v
( rest I haven't came across) .
Motul just tells what would can be used with a bike (if listed ) ,it hasnt officially prescribed any oil ,what you see on site I'd just simple computer matching( like you enter age ,area on some app and it tells you people suitable to those criteria)Originally posted by shrey1992 View Post15w50 5100 is good for NS, it has been specified by Motul itself.

But I think the oil maker must know what oil we are making and which engine should it suit.Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View PostMotul just tells what would can be used with a bike (if listed ) ,it hasnt officially prescribed any oil ,what you see on site I'd just simple computer matching( like you enter age ,area on some app and it tells you people suitable to.....
Afaik, 3100 is a mineral oil and NS uses Semi-synth oil, so it would be better to use 5100 or 7100.

It's not like bajaj notifies motul or vice versa when they make a oil/bike .Originally posted by shrey1992 View PostBut I think the oil maker must know what oil we are making and which engine should it suit.

It's about universal application thorough codification of things .
Like you go online ,select a design of shoe ,select 8 number and buy it .
Now tell me ,how do you 8 no. Size shoe will fit you almost perfectly ..?
Because you have pre knowledge about size numbers of shoe and what will suit you ,so you can just wear any shoe even blindfolded provided you know it's size .
Same in case of bikes .
Manufacture makes a engine as per demand .
Tests it (it was done earlier not now ) on different oil grades ,then selects best grade (xxwXX) for it ,
Now as long as oil you're using matches that grade ,you can even use a champaklal engine oil.
I've been using 3100 and I'm totally satisfied ,
Use fs/ss only when you cover 3.5-5.5k kms in 6 months ,otherwise use mineral, it will cost cheaper and you can change it more frequently, thus a better performance and engine life than that on fs/ss.
And as a general thumb rule ,ns or any bike doesn't uses fs or ss oil only .ideal situation is ,
Mineral oil till 6000kms.
Fs till 8-9000kms .
After that ss.
But USING MINERAL OIL ATLEAST UPTO 2000KMS is HIGHLY ADVISED. as mineral oil helps best in engine runin( period of wear/tear of engine as per your riding style) .after that ,use fs only ,ss only ,MINERAL only or combination of them at respective intervals .

Wow thats amazing but i dont think it can be done on stock stuff...Originally posted by Tanzing Sherpa View PostCheck youtube bro and prepare to be amazed. The max i have done is 145 speedo indicated which after removing speedo error is pretty close to the top speed our bike can achieve.
We all love our bikes and like all machines it has its limitations.
And without changing anything achieving 167 is pretty much impossible.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I think he changed his sprocket. I can see some lag when doing 0-100. Compromising on accleration for top speed.Originally posted by Gunjit Singh View PostWow thats amazing but i dont think it can be done on stock stuff...The max i have done is 145 speedo indicated which after removing speedo error is pretty close to the top speed our bike can achieve. We all love our bikes and like all machines it has its limitations. And without changing anything achieving 167 is pretty much impossible.Put The Pedal To The Metal
