how can you ride your bike with oil leaking ..? Even if the emergency was life threatening, you could've parked it and took a public transport.
Now what's done is done .
It depends what components can be salvaged and what needs to be replaced .
      Engine case ,alone costs a whopping 4-5 k .
Since it was an accident ,try claiming insurance .
By the way ,a cbr250 full engine costs 50k .

Well you can hardly find public transport while you are in the backwater parts of the hills, anyways can you give a worst case scenario replacement cost? the insurance is not cashless so I woud have to pay first

As I said ,it needs to 've checked what's von kaput and what's worth saving ,and since I did a college project and got a cbr 250 engine for 50k .
I guess maybe from 17k to max 35k
Attach some pics of broken crankcase and other damages.

I assume this is with the bike being held straight, if so, you will need to drain about 100-150ml of oil.
          For mental health..

            Wait ...
Why does he need to drain oil...?
What's the problem with oil level .?
W.r.t. pic ,the pic has been taken with a inclination towards +y axis making some angle with horizontal plane ,and not in the neutral plane ,that's why oil level will look increased to us .

Damn your luck. You shouldn't have ride leaking. I think your expenses will be more than 10k.

If you do it yourself, its dirt cheap
                Piston-500~/800~INR(2 different qualities)
                Boreing-200rs max
                Gasket set-150rs max
Since you've opened your engine, might as well lap the valves otherwise leave them as it is.
Lapping may cost 150rs otherwise you can do that yourself too. Its very easy
Cost of new oil and coolant additional
                +cost of magneto/crank case cover.
If you get it done by a local mechanic, it'l cost 2000-3000rs labour
Service center will charge much more.

Single piece custom handlebar on my NS.

                    Details:
Bar weight: less than 0.5 kilos, stock clipons weight: 5 kilos.
Price: Handlebar + crossbar: INR 450, Karizma mounts: INR 160, Bolts + labour: INR 500

Pros: Slightly more upright/relaxed posture (since the bar now tapers a bit up and behind), better handling at any speed, better cornering ability, can take bad roads much easily (so perhaps offroading will be better), better acceleration since the bar is lighter, provision to mount phone/gps holders, hand guards, custom windscreen etc; easy to move the bike around (from tight parking spaces for example), mirrors feel more functional since their effective position has changed, and last but not least, it looks really good.

Cons: Buzz vibrations due to lack of bar end weights, but a fix to that is on it's way. This is a temporary design.

The mod was really difficult to perform, since we kept facing many hurdles as we kept proceeding with it - the bar length was inappropriate, the key hole came in the way, nut/clamps were hard to install, center piece integrity was a question mark in the face, but ultimately the mechanic did an exceptional job. The number of pros easily outweigh the cons by a huge margin and the venture was worth every penny. This is the best mod performed yet, after the engine mods, which themselves are running fine even after 18k kms of abuse.

                    Some pics.

Gonna stay mirrorless for today, just for the heck of it. It's an amazing and a horrible experience at the same time to ride without mirrors.

Further upgrades thanks to the new handlebar: Rynox Phone/GPS mount, handguards meant for single piece bars and a windshield at a later stage.
Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Guys, sorry for another post about the carburettor
But ive solved all your problems
The UCAL BS33 carb has a very soft spring and the main jet is too small at the same time
Thats why the bike jerks contineously when riding at constant speed unless you tune the volume control screw.
Tuning the volume control screw has its side effects like engine revving to upto 2000-2500rpm when you leave the throttle but this is also because of the loose spring
You can either change the spring to a harder one or jet it slightly richer
Changing the spring or putting 2-3 washers above it is the better option and you wont find jets easily and jetting will also reduce your average. Changing the spring will keep the slide from opening unnecessarily when the vacuum is not enough. I can guarantee you that pick up will go up even thought the slide opens slower as the mixture will be more towards the optimum side.
PLEASE DONOT LOSE THE ORIGINAL SPRING.

If you are deciding to stretch the original spring make sure you can get a new one incase this doesnt work out for you
And also note that a spring that is too hard or long will cauz the slide to not open enough and will cause your bike to run like a bullet(lots of torque, no power)
Get a spring of another carb and make sure its only a centimetre or 2 more than original and also check stiffness.

Please note that spring length and stiffness is very important
I used an FZ spring in a unicorn carb and the unicorn started running like a truck because the spring was too stiff.

I just went for a ride and I said to my self "thank god I didnt change the spring"
I think if you'll change the spring to a stiffer one you'll miss the slide opening pre maturely
I mean when it opens prematurely it gives you the power on demand when you twist the throttle fast
But if you're really a person who want to ride at a constant speed you can try changing the spring which will not reduce your average much or if you dont mind the average jetting is a better option which will also increase your pickup drastically.
This is just my opinion which I realised while playing with a carburettor of another bike so its up to you wether you want to believe it or not. I never opened the NS carburettor.

Has anyone of you faced the issue of the tank decal (pulsar logo) coming off (either by itself or done by someone)?

Thankfully it hasn't happened to me yet, but my experience with my 3D 220 decal says it won't last long.

It has happened to me ( and to many other ns'es i have seen) .. for me it happened while wiping the bike.. you should be very careful while doing this since the long end of the "r" is likely to get stuck to the cloth and come off..
