Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Don't know about the drop in mileage may be something wrong with AFR settings but i am also facing the rear disc noise problem. Seems likes it is a manufacturing defect in wheel, brake assembly configuration or something. I am expecting someone to contradict me and suggest a solution.Originally posted by nilesh14587 View PostI am loving my NS

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Have had no problems with my bike till date.
only the usual minor problems such as front head vibration which I managed to sort to some extent by inserting a small rubber. Other than the occasional times the gear get stuck while changing. Wanted to change to a better Mobil but too lazy to shop around for it. Maybe this would have helped sort that problem out? Wifey complained that the back leg rest were slippery so sorted that out by cutting some car mats and gluing + screwed them on.
as for the noise in the rear, in mine I only get a small squeaky sound when rolling the bike back. This does get resolved for some time if I pressure blow air in the brake clippers, but the sound comes back.
what sort of noise is your rear brake making? If at all it is the brake? Is the sound only coming when applying the break pedal?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
The brake noise issue is normally present on most of the bikes, it was there on my friends CBR , it was there on the Karizma, unless its not too loud, don't bother, it could also be due to dirt collected inside, if u ride on dusty roads , Uve got to live with that

you SCRAPED your toe and foot on a straight road? Is it what you meant when you asked me that I am not riding the 200NS the way it should be ridden?
jokes apart, do you keep your foot on the footpegs with the toes pointing downward while riding?
Prince, I have not seen a tool to adjust the shocks in any of the standard tool kits that come with the bike, so i don't know if Bajaj would be willing to do that either. Also, IMO, the basic purpose of this tool kit is for the rider to be able to do the 'minor' adjustments on the bike should he/she need it. Adjusting the shocker would be a 'slightly advanced' maneuver that a layman won't do.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postsirji, it seems your e-mails have much more effect on BAL, then rest of our e-mails.
can you plz tell them two more problems.
(1) as is apparent from few posts above. the right side crash guard has a tendency to break off near the top bolt automatically on its own periodically. we are not able to understand the cause of it. may be vibrations, idont knw.
(2) the tool kit does not have a spanner to adjust the rear shock absorber. it shoould be included in the tool kit. i even tried to purchase it from a very big and reputed service center (pune) based of the part number mentioned in spare part catalogue. but the spare parts guy was not able to order it from company because their software was not accepting that part number, as it is a toolkit part number.
Regarding the crash guard, it would be better if those people who have faced this problem write to Bajaj directly because they would have all the necessary documents to support their claim. To make more impact, it be best if you guys shoot an email to them together on a single day.
p.s.: personally i am a bit surprised to read about this crash guard issue. it doesn't look to be that weak on visual inspection. Do you have any pic of your broken guard?(Been There Done That) x 3.25

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Zig zag riding takes account to bending down a little or more while overtaking a chaotic traffic, where a Rickshaw ,a tempo can come from anywhere . NO sir ,you're entitled to ride the way you like ,but old chasised pulsars are not fun to ride ,esp in handling as compared to ns.Originally posted by sunilg View Post

And yeah ,toes where at a angle ,because not even you can keep them at 90' all the time .riding stance doesn't permit it .

Hi guys,
Greetings of the day!!!
Wanted to know has anyone tried the adjustable clutch and front break lever set up on pulsar 200 ns?
If yes,is it worth the effort and also does the clutch set up need a to be tweaked for performance as i have heard that the clutch becomes sloppy after installing them.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
unfortunately i dont have a pic of broken crash guard. but it breaks at exactly the same spot again and again, sadly our e-mails end up at service center as they forward it to service centers and service centers just dont accept that it can break on its own. anyway, let it be.Originally posted by sunilg View Post....

but, yes my earlier P150 toolkit had the spanner for rear shock-up adjustment. will post the pic.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Inquired with a guy who makes stuff for bikes & he quoted 3.5k for the rear luggage rack including powder coating it to black. It's already month end for me financially :P so will give him the order later...In the mean time if anyone can let me know where we can source / purchase this rack, I would really really appreciate the help
Why don't we have stuff like this here :'(
This is from a Columbian website called "Fire Parts" & they have some neat accessories for the NS

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
In my case the noise was disgusting so i asked SVC to open the brake and clean it. After that noise and rear braking bite both disappeared. It happened in the past too. If i keep pressing the rear brake then braking bite and noise both will come back so i am not using rear brake ( even if i do then there is negligible braking power but if i keep pressing it for some days rear brake bite will come back) to avoid noise. Currently, sometimes i hear a disgusting noise pooooo and sometimes not. Mostly it is silent but i have to rely on front brake only. I am thinking of changing the disc pad and brake fluid.Originally posted by PISTOLERO View PostHave had no problems with my bike till date.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
sorry to hear of your predicament. Hope your action will resolve the issue. See if there is some clog build up in the rear fluid holder and get it cleaned.Originally posted by Newrider88 View PostIn my case the noise was disgusting so i asked SVC to open the brake and clean it. its not a good idea to ride around with using just the front disc and I would compromise with sound in getting the "break bite" back for your rear disc brake.
all the best as you seek answers to this problem.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
thank you for sharing this video. It was very useful to get an idea on how fit the fog lights and luggage rack in a systematic manner.Originally posted by a_poor_blind_kid View PostInquired with a guy who makes stuff for bikes & he quoted 3.5k for the rear luggage rack including powder coating it to black. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
hi guys. its been 11 months since i had my pulsar. this is my first bike, very happy with it. the only thing which ruins my biking experience is the engine response, as u all says that engine is refined and good so i take it as its only my bike wich has some tuning issue or something. whenever i ride my bike the engine feels as if its not free it feels a sluggish and bike noises a lot. its only in higher rpm i feel engine is running butter smooth. i mean at lower rpm and lower speed bike is not that responsive as in higher speed or higher rpms. my idle rpm is perfect at 1.4 k and i have never tuned the AFR screw. is this is a problem related to AFR ? lemme give u some figure n tell me if its ok. at 1st gear bike goes upto 15kmph till it starts sluggish, same ways 2nd gear 25kmph till it d engine losses its juice, 3rd gear 32kmph. its as simple as i don't like riding bike at slow traffic.. it simply annoys me nd forcefully i ride fast to skip the sluggish draggy ride. im a novice in biking but wen i ride other bikes they feel fun to ride at lower rpms. please suggest me something.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Every bike has its own respective power band it only performs at optimum within that range. Another factor to note is the gearing, anyways to bring you peace of mind I would suggest you ride another NS which was manufactured(Heard that the NS's have different jetting with respect to the initial batches) around the time yours was.Motorcycling Experience:
2000 ~ 2017 Y2K Kinetic Zoom (Disposed at 15k)
2011 ~ 2015 Hero Honda Karizma R (Sold at 56.5k)
2013 ~ 2014 Bajaj Discover 100 4G (Sold at 16.5k)
2015 ~ 2017 TVS Wego (Totaled at 18k)
2015 - Bajaj Pulsar 220F (Currently 31k) < Garage Queen!
2017 - Bajaj CT100B (Currently 21k) < 'Golden Quadrilateral' Runner!
The Ride was Good, but Life is short, spend it Wisely!
Adios Comrades!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Every NS behaves differently, your engine response will differ from the latest batches as bajaj made changes to improve low end response (NS from 2012-2013 mostly rely on their top end, also vibrate alot compared to latest) But one thing I would like to tell you here, your power delivery is heavily depended on "how you completed run-in of your bike's engine"... how your bike's engine settled in, thanks to you. There are different methods and theories (all work fine).. and trust me on this.. it does matter.Originally posted by abhay87 View Posthi guys. its been 11 months since i had my pulsar. this is my first bike, very happy with it. the only thing which ruins my biking experience is the engine response, as u all says that engine is refined and good so i take it as its only my bike wich has some tuning issue or something. whenever i ride my bike the engine feels as if its not free it feels a sluggish and bike noises a lot. its only in higher rpm i feel engine is running butter smooth. i mean at lower rpm and lower speed bike is not that responsive as in higher speed or higher rpms. my idle rpm is perfect at 1.4 k and i have never tuned the AFR screw. is this is a problem related to AFR ? lemme give u some figure n tell me if its ok. at 1st gear bike goes upto 15kmph till it starts sluggish, same ways 2nd gear 25kmph till it d engine losses its juice, 3rd gear 32kmph. its as simple as i don't like riding bike at slow traffic.. it simply annoys me nd forcefully i ride fast to skip the sluggish draggy ride. im a novice in biking but wen i ride other bikes they feel fun to ride at lower rpms. please suggest me something.
My advice, first get it tuned properly. and redline it like shit.. one of the reason people don't enjoy their NS is because they don't ride it as hard as they should and the engine doesn't open up.. they have no idea of it's higher limitations... you wont believe how fun and responsive the engine becomes once you begin to ride it hard n well, using engine braking with constant downshifts (throttle blip method?)
