Dont know about fz v2 but kept below 4000 rpm fz16 picks up better than ns.Performance of fz fades after 85kmph or so and engine doesnt seems to be at ease at 100 kmph.

NS definately performs better at higher speed but doesnt exite me when at low rpm range.
May be just my bike has this nature or it is because of new engine.
Will fully gun up the NS after 2000kms .

One more thing noise of ns really irritates me when doing offroading.Sounds like a tractor.
Thinking of going for after market exhaust if traffic police allows.

Yes fz is just for city ride.On highway i maintain 80-90kmph.Other bikes zoom past me and all i can do ia ignore them.

Cant wait to complete 2000 kms.
But have got 4 bikes in garage.Even this Ns doesnt belong to me.My mama doesnt hold liscence and is about to leave for abroad so i am taking care of this beast.
Got suzuki GS And 14 years old ybx too.So i ride NS in every 3 days .

Just wanna taste 7000+ rpm on NS.

If you build a harness the way I described, you won't have to remove/splice/cut anything except for the OEM horn, it would be just plug and play and also very easy to remove. You can even keep the OEM horn if you can find a place to mount all 3 horns.
I could make a harness for you, if you provide the required materials (should not cost more than 300 including the price of the relay and inline fuse, I already have two coil of 2 mm2 Finolex automotive wire in red and black color).

BTW it would be wise to spray paint the chrome colored Vibo Minis black, if cops cause trouble with aftermarket horns in your area.

Fixed one on default place and other on lower radiator mount.
Don't need any wire cutting as came with two pins which needed to be connected to default horn wires.
Good setup, are you using a relay? How much current are the aftermarket horns drawing?
          I am back!

Guys, was thinking of getting an aftermarket muffler. Anyone done it before or has any ideas on where to get a good one?

Nope I'm not using any relay .
Don't know about current they are drawing but working fine from past 5 months.

Btw i m using relay on my other bikes with harness made like your method as horns are bigger on them.

Guys, Whats the perfect engine idle rpm?
I tried to set idle rpm to 1.5k when engine was extremely hot/untouchable(riding through traffic for sometime). But it made cold start difficult(rpm around 1.2k).
Then I set the hot idle rpm to around 1.65k. But sometimes when I pull the clutch lever while riding rpm gets stuck at 2k rpm for 1 or 2 sec before coming to idle rpm.

The same thing happened with me previously. When I downshifted the idle RPM would stuck at 2k when the engine became hot. Then I used to slot it into first gear at a halt and slowly relsased clutch lever without any throttle and suddenly the idle RPM would go down to normal.

This is not a big problem, but just a leaner/richer AFR setting. Go to any good SVC and get your AFR adjusted. This solved my problem.

in that case reduce the idle rpm a lttle bit. you have to adjust it by trial and error till you reach the sweet spot.

I've a feeling that itz running lean.
little harsh maybe because of bajaj engine oil though .

My experience is Bajaj Oil is thinner and engine runs more freely as compared to Motul.

Ideally the setting should be like this: 1200-1300 rpm at cold start. After engine warms up rpm settles to ~1500 rpm. This engine rpm getting stuck 2000 rpm is reported many a times here, I faced it too once. A simple tweak to idling screw should remove it.

Can anybody recommend any mechanic/workshop for 200NS in Bangalore, who will try to handle the problems with reduced mileage (41 to 32 kmpl) and rear break sound issue?? I tired everything with Auto Services, Banashankari. I don't think that guy can or will do anything with this.

Bugger changed engine oil, rear break calipers and pads, air filters without me telling him to do so. It costed me like 1500rs and I had replaced all this things like only 2000 km ago. On tip of it, he didn;t solve any of the issues. My bike is just the same or worse.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...
