Guys I bought P200NS two days back...

After My first drive for 15Kms in B2B traffic... The engine got so hot ... The radiator was throwing hot air blast straight on My Leg...

After leaving the engine idle in neutral for some 30 seconds or so, the radiator fan started running and then it went off after a minute...

Is it normal or it's getting overheated...??

That's normal for an engine to heat up excess during its first few hundred kms. So make sure you operate below 4k rpm(max 5k rpm) for upto first free service.. The radiator fan simply operates when the engine temperature is required to be kept under control. If the engine temperature is below a certain limit, the fan is switched off. It's necessary to maintain optimum operating temperature and hence the design..

Hello guys,

I need your immediate help here....
I am facing a major problem since last 6 months or so and service center people are clueless and not able to solve it. My bike is July 2012 model, first lot. The coolant consumption is very abnormal since last 6 months. The entire collant from the resorvoir gets over within couple of hundred kilometers. There is no mixing with engine oil, or leakage from anywhere.

Have been complaining to Bajaj, but not able to solve it. And the worse part is there is no escalation matrix other than customer care . If somebody could help me with some escalation point that too will help.

Recently gave it to another service center, they pointed that the radiator fan is not working/ jammed, so they replaced the entire fan + radiator assembly. Even then just within 100 kms of riding the coolant got over.

Please help me with this if anyone has any idea about this issue.

Thanks,
faffy

Its either leaking inside or you are revving the engine too hard that the heat is vapourizing the coolant too quick. Drain the entire coolant and Mobil on separate container. Then keep the Mobil drain nut open. Pour the antifreeze (coolant) and check whether its coming out of the Mobil drain hole or not. If yes then probably the engine packing is cracked. I don't know whether this will work or not so plz take help of others too

Revving engine would boil the coolant causing it to expand and drain out if the expansion tank is filled in excess..
It not water that it will get evaporated that easily!
And whats mobil drain nut / hole.. ?

The nut which once opened drains the Mobil of your bike. Mobil draining screw I mean to say

It not leaking and mixing with engine oil and neither it is getting leaked outside. Also though i am not revving the engine , and even if thats the case it should NOT get over as its meant to stay longer.

Its either the Fuse or the VDU/ecm . check the fuse first. Then go to service centre and replace ecm if under warranty.

as nadz11.ns said, change the fuse located in left side of the bike. you have to open side panel, there are two fuses check which has gone kaput. in my NS BAL has also included two additional fuses in the rubber housing of the fusebox itself. put same rating fuse in the appropriate place, i.e same colored new fuse in the place of old one.
