Can you elaborate on this? many have bought it in septemebr and october period at auspicious days...my bike has manufacturing date of 19 september and i bought it on 24 october...

so all bikes have some sort of deffect?
now i rarely get a chance to rip crazy like you and if the warranty period terminates and i get a chance..i will be screwed...

I got my bike on Sept 20th, does it mean that I have a bike with defects too!?

I'm confused with the part where you mentioned "a probable defect in the bikes sold during the months of Oct". I also purchased by NS on 21st Oct so my bike probably also has some sort of defect ?
Yes I agree with the last part, it remains to be seen how your bike behaves after going through all this. It's your bike in the picture but I feel so sad myself to see a NS being stripped like that... cause it's critical components gave up. damn..

Yup...the svc had the stock available with them, the only problem was that they were reluctant to work on the engine.
Yea, it was really sad to see my bike in that condition

Tell me about it.. I once had this r15 guy overtake me in aggression cause he couldn't stand that I went past him at green light, I wasn't dragging or provoking.. i just wanted to move ahead quick & maintain a 60 or so km/h. But the next I heard is that R15's loud roar and watch him go past me. It was so loud, sexy & a scary exhaust sound to hear behind you. I had actually thought there was a superbike coming behind me lol

It isnt necessary that the roar was because of a mod job with a ffe, air filter, etc. It could have been a Chinese tincan replacing the exhaust pipe...I hope you get it what I mean

The ASM didn't give out everything on the defect part but he said that its not necessary that all the bikes would have this defect, only a few MAY have. My engine number is like this" xxxCCFxxxxx". So you can check for the "CCF" series in your engine number. But again its not necessary that your bike too may have a defect. Further, I would also like to highlight that all the damage to my engine happened after i ripped my bike to speedo indicated 157kmph (there were other guys with their NS too who touched 150-155kmph with me but no damage to their happened). So I may be a one-off case.

P.S. I dont mean to create a panic situation and spread rumors making owners scared. I just mentioned whatever I was told.

        Replies in bold.

        • great :| ...my engine no. is of the same series.....

if its not too much can u ask the SVC the cost of the parts replaced in ur bike..i know for you its covered in warranty...but would be nice to know if we would have to shell out at a later time when our warranty period is over or might be terminated due to certain reasons

Now I seriously dunno whether I should move to 7100 during the 3rd service or get back to DTSi oil. Any comments on this people?
I dont think that might be the reason. Both oils are average in my opinion. Initial smoothness is better in motul though.

Now a days the same slopes which it used to climb pretty well at 5000 rpm in 6th gear seems tiring for the bike, it hiccs up.
Neutral sets in and it's difficult to engage the first gear. This is a serious issue in bumper to bumper traffic.
The gearbox gives a krrrrr sound at times, rarely though.
Thak kinda sound when I use the front brakes.
Indicators vibrate, or rather sway as in old thumpers.
Same when i run over pot holes, but from the rear end.
            Vibes, plenty of them.
            Any solutions?
I wish some seniors could give me a sensible answer.

mostly vibes happen due to messed up tuning in our bike...

and regarding the oil dunno...i found power delivery better in dtsi oil rather than motul oil...but yes the engine felt smoother with motul...may be thats why an issue with ur bike....btw it is not recommended to climb slopes in highest gear unless u are at good speed....and may be ur clutch settings are messed up...go for a thorough check up at the SVC...

Usual speed is around 60 when I climb the slope. But that's not a steep one, may be an angle less than 15. Regarding the clutch and tuning, lemme consult the SVC.

we all know there are many niggles in the bike and certain batches have had problem with low quality parts...one such example is the disc plate bending in many NS...other is now ur example...though u are the first one but i too hope that urs is a single case(no offence for it i wish ur NS lives long and serves u well without burning holes in ur pocket)

just wished even if BAL increased the price of the bike by about 5k bucks but gave excellent quality parts and stuff...but well even if a HONDA CBR 250R initial batches have had problems...yeh NS kya cheez hai :P

why not? they are both major companies offering motorcycles and as an end consumer i have full right to compare the products and decide which one if better for me

Totally agree with you. Even though my problem is a serious one because Im kind of getting a totally new engine, but still Im not the one who'll start cribbing about the bike and join the anti-bajaj clan. Im still happy with it and just hoping that its a one-off case. Im happy with whatever I have and there is a connect with my bike which is beyond the materialistic approach.
And Im sure nobody has a more serious problem than mine, so please stop criticizing the bike and try being a oh-so-honest critic (not intended for anyone in particular)

                            • yes definetly...i dont think anyone has had busted crankshaft and valves...and lets hope this is just one off case...btw u shud ask what was the reason for this...exactly how the problem happened....and yes the bike is really a good one...i believe everyone who loves his bike has a connect with it and no matter what problems happen..he still doesnt become anti bajaj or anti NS criticizing rider....
