Apart from this sizes/model there are more new ones.

        Full details:
        Socket: H4
Temperature: 6000K as evident from the bluish white colour. Suits my bike's colour.
HID for high beam and tungsten for low beam.
Cost: 1500 bucks. I went for a temporary inexpensive HID setup as I wanted to see how well the battery would do over a long time. Would go for the branded ones after a few months.
Result: I've used the HID for about 1000 kms now and I've had no problems whatsoever. Reflectors are perfectly alright, no signs of battery discharge, a neat job by the electrician, WARRANTY CONTINUED, highway lighting is excellent and surprisingly, high beam can be used for the city too. I no longer ride on low beam at night.

How good is it overall? And does the rear look beefier? Any hits on mileage, performance?

          Hi,

tyre cost is only 3050/- INR MRF revz c ...

And also if you could post a review comments by your friend it would be cool. e.g. any change in mileage, handling, dynamics of the bike, acceleration etc. Only a little change while cornering is what I am expecting and other things should be pretty much the same as stock tires but still actual experience would be good to hear...

            Hi,

We would be trying to fit the tire hugger on this weekend.. will keep you posted ...mileage dropped by 2kmpl .. hardly noticeable...none issues with handling , acceleration etc.. overall experience is very good...

              • Helo All,

I have installed K&N1060 but i changed it later as it keep unplugged from Carburetor . but after changing to the original air filter i keep facing lot of problems.

1, the RPM is not stable. when i start my bike it is in 1000 then later it will go upto 1500 . so gave to services center as they told the Carburetor setting as been changed and they tuned something and gave to me but i still face the same problem.

2, i can face the engine heating up so soon.

Can some body suggest something as im staying in chennai and lost faith in services center

Is it with Projectors ??? or without it ?

If it's without projectors then surely it's a problem for on coming traffic!
Blinding the riders/drivers !! Please put a projector if it's not there.

K & N Fileters allow more air to go in hence normally carb rejetting is done after installing such performance filters. Do you remember if this was done? If no then did the guy fiddle with AFR tuning? Since you are mentioning of engine heat up issues it seems like your bike is running on a lean AFR setting.

Now you have reverted back to stock air filter but the tuning has not changed hence the problem. Get it tuned properly, go to some other SVC if you require.

Cone K&N filters aren't compatible with Pulsar 200NS and it is not safe because only way to install it directly on carb. It may get dirt easly because carb located just above underbelly exhaust and installed K&N is visible from back down side also you can pull out easily through your hand because of the gap. Better wait till K&N lauch official compatible air filter which you can place it directly on your stock air filter assembly.

But the question is... Even a HID/Halogen projector lamp with high beam can easily blind oncoming traiff right? Its upto human's mind/nature whether he/she is switching to low beam on road whenever they are passing by oncoming traffic or a vehicle.

                          serves you right !

                          joke

Yesterday went for a short 85km trip with a pillion which might be average for many here but it's the longest i've done on my bike. Great experience, but my brother as a pillion really disliked the bike lolz. He said due to the grab handles and the rear seat, the pillion can't sit relaxed like other bikes & needs to be careful due to the aggressive nature of the bike.... which can be tiresome after a while. He doesn't know how to ride so he woudn't know how it feels a rider.
Also vibrations were minimal, except the handle bars & knee recesses which vibrate like crazy over 80kph. I kind of like that feeling of handle bars though sometimes I don't. Could this be due to slight jamming of my front tire ? which some people have said is because of air bubbles in break oil ?

                          • It Doesnt Answer my Question Bro ! :P

AFR is air / Fuel Ratio or in laymans terms it called 'Tuning'. Just tell the symptoms like irregular RPM reading, engine overheating and ask them to tune your engine. As many here suggest a CO level of 2-2.5 is the perfect setting for the NS. Ask them to set the CO level to 2.0 or 2.5. They should have specific equipments to check the CO level.

                                No...

When HID is used without a projector then it's focusing area spreads all over, spreading strong light effect at the outer circumference of focus as well.
Which affects the rider/driver from oncoming traffic, i.e blinding them.

And if the same light is used with projector then the impact of the light is more on center focus as per setting rather than outer circumference.
This helps in better focus on particular area and cutoff the out range beams!

There is a huge difference with/out projectors!

You can check the cars on highway with projectors and without it. Mostly Scorpios and swift with HID or Halogen and the projector SUV like Fortuner/TUCSON/ AUDI'd etc..
