What kind of problems, precisely? If those could be solved by having the bike inspected and repaired by an experienced mechanic, then rather going for a new bike you can get a big bore kit and FFE installed. Check out the bike modifications thread and particularly, raceconcepts.in .
Or else if your heart is set on getting a new bike, then I'd suggest going for the duke if you can stretch your budget. The 200NS is a great bike but will show problems if not properly maintained. That holds true for almost any newly launched bike. The main problem lies with inexperienced and careless svc personnel. On the plus side, you can get to know about the various nuances of the technology making up the bike and consequently feel closer to your steed.

The event comprised of about 470 bikers from all over West Bengal and it was one roller coaster ride including a 20kms rally (approx) bringing the NH2 to a still

The pillion seat..um,is kinda a joke if you are going to make anyone else with a fairly normal bum size seat on it. Before buying the NS,I took a test ride of the duke (just for the heck of it,my parents would've killed me if I had gone for it) and all that discussion online about how riding it would make you grin from ear to ear made clear sense. However, comparing it with the NS would make no sense because they are each geared towards different audiences.

The duke has all my appreciation but NS makes a whole lot more sense to me! I was itching to get the duke before but I later realised how perfectly the NS is made for me

                  • So yesterday touched a top whack of 157kmph (and another rider @Rahulbarik touching 158kmph) on NH2.

The bike was running fine. After about 15mins and 6kms later (was cruising at that time) the bike suddenly stops and doesn't start...tried everything but all in vain.
Had to tow it behind another NS for 40 odd kms to home.

And today took it to the svc and they expect the valves inside the engine to be BROKEN!!
The engine vibrates when attempted to start the bike as if the parts will come. Will get to know the actual extent of damage by tomorrow when the svc will open up the engine
Hope they change evreything under warranty because I aint shelling out a single penny. Its a 6 months old (5100 kms) bike and should break down in the middle of the road because the god damn engine broke!

Hope all goes well and the bike is restored to its original pride.

Really sad to know that your bike broke down like that, hope the SVC fix the problems asap, just dont let your guard down and ensure you put up a good fight with them if required and not listen to any shit they say cuz the bike is under warranty. do keep us updated with the situation.

I never felt any big issue as such with the turning radius of NS. Its just matter of getting used to. Once you start to know your bike well enough, you will be able to maneuver it very easily. I had some problem initially as I was graduating from HH Passion, so it took me a while to adjust to the weight and turning radius of NS. But yes its not as agile as some other bikes but it ain't all that bad..And NS definitely can take any hairpin turns..its as much about the bike as the skills of the rider..I can take a U-turn within a 12-15 feet space with only a little efforts (as compared to my HH Passion) and I am not one of those skilled riders as well...so i don't think anybody should have a real hard time with NS while taking U turns.
My opinion is in your post itself, by bold we have to train for it

                          Please don't.
My NS is now 3000 on ODO & I will not recommend it to anybody
even though it is giving best in class handling & unbelievable petrol mileage among Pulsar's(180,200,220,NS)........
take a test ride before booking. If you don't have any problem with vibrations, then its the best Pulsar
everybody says about body panel vibrations & how to get rid off. But it is not the truth. NS's engine vibrates a lot which is unbearable.
Some times it happens at all RPM levels. Mine is vibe free only between 5-5.5K rpm
by going through this thread you can understand that missing is a common phenomena.
My advice is that before registering your bike, take it to above 7K rpm @ sixth gear to check this. dont bother about running-in its only for seconds& will not harm your bike.
SVC guys replaced my carburetor. now pickup is low. but neat mileage of 43-45. on my average riding speed of 65-75

And i already told u...the fogs are off inside city... And my main headlight is having a hid which is yellow in color with a greenish tinge... And the same goes with the fog. Its greenish yellow in real life.... And even if i switch them on, there is not much of a glare because of the yellow with green tint....yes, the light is very powerful but it doesnt have much glare....moreover, the fog is positioned at a very low angle and thus the entire light falls on the road very near to my bike... I know what i am doing and dont want any stupid suggestions from anyone....no one is putting a bullet on anyone's head and forcing to comment... And for the rvm, i'll keep those off in the congested kolkata traffic.... I have not removed them for show off, but have removed them because i cant go into small gaps and those are hit every now and then...a real pain in the city... Those are fitted back whenever i am out of kolkata and on the highway.... I am sensible and matured enough to understand what i am doing....and thats the reason i fitted lime yellow hids on my bike so as reduce glare whereas people in XBHP are using 8000k hid with so called projectors which have much more glare than my hid inside the reflector...Period... And for the looks part, i am not worried as long as it serves the purpose...
Great set up. Or should I say great weapon?
Wish I had one like this too. I work in the night shifts, none of the cab drivers dim their lights regardless of signalling them. That's when I am desperately in need of having this set up, so that I could force the irresponsible oncoming to dim their lights and then I too can go back to my low beam riding.
It's good to have this set up but we must make sure that it doesn't affect anyone, even by mistake.
