till vashi it goes very pleasant ride good pull up i was enjoying....later on traffic is getting worse...
my left hand is paining while holding clutch again and again...(point is clutch is too hard...)
i wonder how guys from mumbai, pune, banglore are manage to drive regular basis...

i have also doubt about turning capability of ns.... is it ns able to make hairpin curve(curve on ghats where traffic from both side on) at one go.... (any one tried pls throw some light)

mine ns is 500 km old and i love short touring...(like 100 to 200 km) but yesterdays experience was painful

You are spot on! Clutch is hard but not noticeable, only when you drive a lot your hand starts telling you BTW I am from Pune and Mumbai has 50 times more traffic than Pune!

Yes, riding the NS in heavy traffic is a pain. The clutch is too hard. Depressing and releasing the clutch repeated causes pain in the left hand.
The turning radius of the NS is wide. Hence, taking a tight turn in traffic, u turns and other places like a parking lot is difficult.
As for a hair pin bend, its hard to say. Depends on the width of the road and angle of the turn.

By the way. Does anyone know what the turning radius is?

        • Any way to smooth clutch lever?

I want smoothness like that in CBR 150R. It's very light and smooth.

Can any local mechanic can do adjusting?

I've heard it's better to have a harder clutch setting. Dunno why though. And the clutch smoothens out over time. I rode a friend's NS today (it's run 1500 kms) and the clutch's pretty hard. Mine (7500 kms) is much easier to use.

It's an okayish experience in congested traffic. Combine that with the large turning radius, U turns get difficult. Hairpin bends can be taken well but not as quickly as ones with smaller turning radius.

Nowadays, the bike rolls off if I simply release the clutch, even when cold. Wasn't happening before, I simply HAD to give a little throttle to move forward. I haven't fiddled with the AFR since the last 6000 kms. What has supposedly happened? I sometimes find changes in my bike which can't be explained. After I had my first fall, everytime I turned the handle completely to the right, the rpm would jump to 4k. Now it's perfectly alright.
Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Clutch stiffness can be adjusted according to each person by the adjustment near the right hand side of h engine. Folow the clutch cable and see whr it ends ans you'll get it.
And as for the rpm spike. Its the problem witj the throttle cable being pulled unwantedly due to the fall. Since it's coected no need to worry about that.

                Cheers

                • Got my first service done today. Interestingly, the Probiking svc told me firmly that unless I use the engine oil provided by them, the warranty will lapse. But surprise, surprise! Instead of the Bajaj Dtsi oil priced at 440 bucks, they got me Motul 3100 Gold at 352 bucks.
I got the fright of my life after riding for a few minutes after the delivery though. The bike stopped and refused to start in the middle of the road. Had to use the choke thrice in order to reach the svc again. Apparently that anomaly was caused due to water from the wash coming in contact with the CDI. Could this be the root of the sometimes jerky/ delayed throttle response below 5K rpm ? If we can calibrate the CDI again, will it be corrected?

                  Got Green rim tapes done.

I did not find a single irrelevant or 'stupid' suggestion from anyone given to you. No one is putting a bullet on your head and forcing you to change your setup or put back the RVMs. It was just a simple request to you by others for your own safety. • Hi guys.. I too am a fellow owner of our beloved pulsar 200ns. Have been following this thread since the start but never posted..
Lately i have been facing vibrations in the bike..handlebar,tail,footpegs..u name it..
Bike has run 7500 kms..got my 3rd service done today.. Changed engine oil/filter and the air filter as well(as the bike was not revving freely)..
However the vibrations are still there..engine running coarse..Engine feels stressed if i try to rev high..
AFR tuning done at 2.0% CO..Wondering what else is causing the issue here..
                      Inputs guys..please..

+1 mate, clearly he doesn't understand constructive opinions or feedback or maybe he is just in bad mood. Whichever it is, Let's hope he is benefited from his setup and others are not having inconvenience.

                        Cheers

                        • The pass switch doesn't seem to do anything when I am riding at night. I can see headlights flash when used during day time, but nothing at night.

                          Is this normal?

You might be riding with the high beam on. The flash won't work with the headlight on.

                            • After waiting for about year and half finally I bought Yellow Pulsar 200NS on 04/03/2013. It is only 2 weeks and clocked 470 km. I did few short trips in and around Pune. I must say this is best looking pulsar (as per me) and I am getting lot of attention on road. I met few people asking about mileage too. I am trying to complete 2000 km as soon as possible and finish my run in. I am keeping it under 4K rpm and only twice tried 5K rpm for few seconds. I am using the same stock tires and no plan to change as of now.

Along with bike there will be few problems, ultimately it is just a machine. There was constant sound coming from chain, there was sound from both front and rear discs and little bit of vibration near fuel tank. All these issues were fixed during free NS camp in Pune. I am not so much worried about these things as I just want to enjoy my ride.

I feel the bike is meant for highway, riding this bike in city is bit difficult as I have to keep changing gears. I have not clicked any picture as of now, but I will post it as soon as possible. I am thinking of to give it for servicing once ODO reads 500, as from yesterday bike is not so smooth and gear shifting is hard too. I think it is time for oil change and tuning.

                              I do have few questions:

                              1. I do not want to use dtsi oil but if I do not use my warranty is going to get void. I am bit confused. I am not sure whether service center guys will accept my request to use Motul oil. May I get some ideas from you guys to deal with this situation?

                              2. Could you please let me know a good Bajaj service center in Pune to service my NS on regular basis?

                              3. Any suggestion where should I put the helmet lock in NS? I bought Vega helmet and along with it I got cycle lock but it is not worth. Do you think NS will look ugly if I fix the lock on rear grab rail?
