Valves don't go kaput so early. I hope the fuel you use is of good quality and not adultrated or so.

Before going for valve clearance setup, kindly try a different fuel station and see if you notice any difference. Also, check the condition of each spark plug.

    Cheerz!!

Okay bro. I'll check spark plug and change fuel station. But what about carb? I'm getting an average of 26kmpl(Sedate riding) . My bike leaks fuel when tilted, is this because the float level is set too high?

26kmpl You are running on rich AFR bro. Check the conditon of Spark Plugs and you will come to know about it. Tune the Carb and almost all your problems will go away.

          Leaks fuel from which side?

          Cheerz!!

Very low indeed. I envy those who get 45 and 50kmpl, I can only dream of those figures, I guess. I checked my spark plug and found it to be brownish black(Pics attached).

Low mileage also relates to clogged air filter..
Adultered fuel is most common issue
If you want to clean carb you can try 3m's or wurth carb cleaner
By cleaning carb and air filter my mileage bumped from 38 to aprrox 42 kmpl ( i am running a slightly rich afr)..

I had a serious issue today.. i was riding my bike fine.. and for one overtake manouver accelerated in 4th gear for may be upto 6k+ rpm and since a rhs corner was around 100-200 metres i closed the throttle and revs came down to around 3k then all of the sudden as i clutched in for downshifting to 3rd, the engine shut down itself .. i hit the ignition button for as long as i remeber.. choked .. again hit the button but no response.. then i thought that it wont happen and left it for 10-15 mins and at last i furiously hit the ignition for around 15 seconds then only engine came to life .. why did this happen ? Before this no issues whatsoever was there .. pls suggest ..
Ps : after engine came to life, i revved it at 10k rpm once in neutral for 1-2 seconds. will it have some impact on engine life?[emoji26] [emoji26]

Hmmm.............. Sounds like one or more of your valves got stuck open. Its nothing to worry about but its quite annoying when it happens.

Take the bike to svc and have them open the head cover and head or both. Tell them to check all oil passages. I think your bike is not getting proper lubrication at the valves.

Also try system G. It cleans any gunky deposits on the valve faces.
Ps: No it won't. Not unless you revved like that more than once or for longer than 5 seconds.

Hi, I had an accident, wherein the left crankcase was cracked and blown open, as I was out of town, I had to ride at least 20 km with oil leaking all the the way before getting a tempo to tow it to my place. The engine has seized, what would be the approximate cost I am looking at?

                              WTF....!!!!

how can you ride your bike with oil leaking ..? Even if the emergency was life threatening, you could've parked it and took a public transport.
Now what's done is done .
It depends what components can be salvaged and what needs to be replaced .
                              Engine case ,alone costs a whopping 4-5 k .
Since it was an accident ,try claiming insurance .
By the way ,a cbr250 full engine costs 50k .

Its very irritating karrrrrr karrrrrrr noise coming from disc break. If I even ever so lightly press the golden part of break assembly it stops. Its been there since year now. Its very embarrassing, especially in parkings or at night when things are quiet. The sound cannot be mfg defect as it was not there for 1 whole year. Only in 2nd year it started.

About the dropped milage, I don't understand what could be the problem. I changed oil, changed all spark plugs, got the bike tuned so many times. Not a single kmpl ka difference. The petrol expenses are too much with only 30-32 kmpl.

                                Anyways,

I got to know some interesting things from a colleague who was working in TVS tires previously. He claimed that the tires which are sold to Bajaj for OEM fitting are sold at 120rs and 60rs front and rear. May be a little more. But not more than 200rs (somehow I couldn't believe this). Thats why they are crap (more carbon), and the Eurogrips in retail market should be much better. He also told that when he benchmarked tires from 4 companies, Michelin was the best, 2nd was Bridgestone and TVS and MRF were at par. He claimed that TVS tires are infact better than MRF tires. I said, I still would not fit Eurocrap tires on my bike again.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...
